Bad news is the meet didn't go well. Good news is that 85mm lens is looking clean as a whistle.

This is why I have so much respect for Sean, despite what the internet nerds say about him, he acknowledges whatever changes he has to make due to conditions/injury and will change form if need be and call a spade a spade when needed. I’ve always said your one of the ultimate sportsmen in powerlifting. Can’t wait to see what you have in store Sean.

This video is so good. The minute you piece the smaller details together, it'll result in the performance you always wanted. Narrower stance on squats is going to be so good, also adjust the bench technique so it's transferable to meet no matter the circumstance is the 2 best moves. An honest review of yourself is so good to see man. Big total coming! Best of luck man!

There’s nothing wrong with failing if you handle it like this... 100% accountability and onto the next prep. Only experience. This is what yields long term gains. Appreciate your attitude man, rare to see in this sport!

Sean, sorry about your injury. You’re correct about that carpet. My final Bench attempt I almost lost cause my left foot slipped. You’re also right about competing whether you’re 100% or not. I broke a rib 4 days before my meet day (masters equipped). My squat and deadlift were really affected by the injury. I didn’t get X-ray confirmation until after the meet. I didn’t want to five myself an excuse to drop out. I sincerely respect you getting out your lifts

I'm just a fan of the sport. I have no expertise on the types of changes to your technique and programming that you're talking about, but I can recognize the significance of these changes. Leaving the familiar, what you know, what has brought you success in the past, is hard, especially when you know that going in a new direction will mean sacrificing some ground, taking a few steps backward from progress you worked hard for. It takes balls to make those kinds of difficult decisions, even more so when you have so much attention on you. That's commendable, Sean. Good for you. I wish you nothing but success.

Sorry about the meet, man. But your "no excuses" attitude and your logical outlook toward things are the reasons you're one of my favorite lifters. Don't feel like you let us down, you did what you could, and that's just how it goes. Although, if you do feel like you need to make it up to us, just make more youtube videos (preferably with Jonnie Candito) please, and we'll call it square lol.
We'll be psyched to see you get healthy and step on the platform again. #nobaddays
