yo, bowser main here leon's probably doing it because he doesn't want to risk an execution error like that. Falcon can punish a whiffed f tilt 2 frame with ledge drop DJ Nair and then convert that into raptor boost which usually gives him 80+, since leon is usually around low percent when he hits fatality offstage instead he's opting for sitting at a distance where fatality can't hit him directly off the ledge, and then using good spacing to ledge trap fatality properly bowser's got a couple matchups like this (gnw and palu are probably the other best examples) where the potential risk of getting punished for a dropped 2 frame often isn't worth going for it in the first place
@@A.E.Personal naw that's not how it works the general rule of thumb for how side b influence works is that the player with lower percent has more influence, but there are a few exceptions, usually at low percent. if the opponent is at 0, bowser will have more influence over side b's direction than them until he's at around 45, so leon had way more influence in both of the bowsercides in game 1, since he was around 45 for both of them and fatality was at 30 and 45 respectively

Also as a Bowser main, it's not impossible to 2-frame Falcon with ftilt it's just really hard so usually better to just get the FB damage
yo, bowser main here
leon's probably doing it because he doesn't want to risk an execution error like that. Falcon can punish a whiffed f tilt 2 frame with ledge drop DJ Nair and then convert that into raptor boost which usually gives him 80+, since leon is usually around low percent when he hits fatality offstage
instead he's opting for sitting at a distance where fatality can't hit him directly off the ledge, and then using good spacing to ledge trap fatality properly
bowser's got a couple matchups like this (gnw and palu are probably the other best examples) where the potential risk of getting punished for a dropped 2 frame often isn't worth going for it in the first place
This is one of those sets where fatality literally forgot that side b exists lol
2:04 photos taken moments from disaster
I thought fatality would be able to control the side b in game one last stock cuz he was lower percent
Fatality was probably holding out instead of in to preemptively DI for the knockback of the move.
@@A.E.Personal naw that's not how it works
the general rule of thumb for how side b influence works is that the player with lower percent has more influence, but there are a few exceptions, usually at low percent. if the opponent is at 0, bowser will have more influence over side b's direction than them until he's at around 45, so leon had way more influence in both of the bowsercides in game 1, since he was around 45 for both of them and fatality was at 30 and 45 respectively
1:30 lol I think patricide means something else
How the frig does captain falcon live at 129% from a bowser side B on the top platform. I just really have no idea how to DI
Leon's Bowser is unreal
so many whiff grab i don't understand why Fatality put standing grab in neutral
LEON es mi pinche ídolo ALV. Es una maestro con Bowser
Fatality maybe mash a little?
This is a surprising set. Fatality usually beats Leon and plays this match up better.
He’s lost to him before in other majors. Bowser isn’t as free for CF as people think. He’s fast and you can’t shield pressure him and obviously kills super early. Though he definitely should have done better when Leon was offstage
@@kidn00b1 I wasn't saying he never won a major against him but it's usually a close win every round. The first 2 games Fatality was not on his best.
Amazing match!
These are the 2 most aggressive, hype players in the world... and when they face off, they're both just really scared of each other
Leon is one of the most passive players in the game
learning that in Nick All Stars they call it "Patricide" is so funny to me lmao
LeoN: "Don't get cheesed"
Leon makes Bowser look top tier
As a bowser main I am pumped to see Leon win. Let’s Go!! 🙌
That commentator giving shit to the other one for saying it's a tough 2-frame. Yeah, there are moves with lingering hitboxes that are easier to 2-frame with, falcon dair hitbox does not linger, therefore it is harder to 2-frame with it than a lot of other moves because the timing has to be more precise. Dude was so condescending and talking directly out of his arse.
is it normal to have two jumps when you get hit of stage like bowser did at 3:32 ?
That second midair jump most likely was bowser doing a footstool off captain falcon
@@androo42 ic thnks i was soo confused here
can't complain considering both are my mains for ultimate/smash 4. great set!
Those commentators struggling for command over the mic.
Leon is so cute and I love his bowser play! Good job
leon is HOT
Was it lagging or is it just me?
Damn fatality must have forgotten about up B out of shield? So many instances where he could have used that in this set 🤷♂️
Maybe he didn’t want to risk that against someone who can kill you as easy as bowser
It’s been a while since fatality played Leon so he must have forgotten the match ups while Leon who was always loosing decided to do more practice with bowser so that he could beat fatality, now if fatality recovers from the mistakes and they okay again I’m sure falcon will be even more scarier
the amount of lag in this vid made it pretty much unwatchable ☠💀
Leon is the beast!!
They seem to be best friends with falcon lol. They are commentating on Leon but like wanting falcon to win so much it’s obvious
Jeez Leon dun leveled up.
