He said ".... u can't smoke in here...." and I was like oh yea, of course not, never mind.
I miss this band so much more than I ever thought I would. Phil and Russo are the toughest rhythm section ever, hands down. Bobby's playing was more "Bob" than ever and he could just be him. Why? 'Cause John has all the Jerry action nailed the hell down, the whole way, to the damned floor. Oh, and who's the mad scientist holding things together and then blowing them apart? John K is the best lead guitar/lead vocalist to honour this music since Jerry’s passing. He should be with Dead and Co. Maybe then I might go see them.
We all know the Grateful Dead died, when Jerry left us; but is it so bad, that the boys can get together on occasion and replicate the magic? I have to say, this is more like the old days than that 50th stuff they did with that Phish guy. This is the "Feel" that has been gone for so long.

i can enjoy these furthur shows for what they are. some truly wonderful song selection and placement. i love to see phil getting off.....a little furthur on i'm truly in the dark regarding what led to the selection of john mayer as a band member. i know he's talented in his way but it's just not a fit that i can enjoy, great material be damned.
Ole Johnny K is spot on, he is what helped set DSO apart from all the other Tribute bands, and here he just fits the Dead perfectly. They should bring him out along with Mayer next year on Dead & Co. And by the way, John K would have been 100 times better at the Fare The Well shows in Jerrys shoes than lousy boring Trey. ( You dont send a boy to do a mans job....ever! )
A much much much better band than Mayer & Co. Phil is the only one of them with any pride and respect. The other 4 should be deeply ashamed of themselves for selling out for selling out to greed. They are nothing more than a 2and backing band for SUB-PAR POP STAR Mayer. I'll never spend my money on that.

I saw these guys open up for Dead and Company back in 99 at Winterland in Egypt; they were aiight. And I've been to 17,238 GD shows so I know what's up
Look I love this band BUT if you really want to honor Jerry's wishes he said repeatedly that he wanted his music buried with him. Personally I'm glad it wasn't.
Everything involving Phil and Bob post-Dead has been a massive, heart-rending disappointment. Nothing different here. Sorry man; I want to like it but I just can't. DSO is more satisfying, sadly.
How the hell can you say DSO is better than anything Bob or Phil has done?! You must have been really dosed at the DSO show then to think that...sadly.
Phil Lesh kept the GD tradition going for a while with Phil and Friends. But when he had the idea to form this band, it was a manipulative effort to get the drummers out of the band and cripple the competition (Dark Star Orchestra). These hired guns can be paid less than original GD members. Is it any surprise the music that came out of this band was sub-par? They sold tickets, they made money, the music sucked. Bob fell into addiction. Phil padded his retirement savings.
Good on them because Russo is better than Kreutzman and Hart put together. And this was the best post-Grateful Dead band, hands down. So there's that undeniable fact. You prefer the narcotic tempos of Dead & Company, bro?
@@jacknotreallyjackstrawfrom7109 Yeah I read that book where Phil and Jill were the evil and everyone else were bamboozled. Apparently even Bobby vs the drummers were their fault. Or just let the music play...
@@jacknotreallyjackstrawfrom7109 Fare Thee Well by Joel Selvin an interesting look about the band which overplays its hand in denigrating Lesh and overpraising Weir
Furthur was an embarrassment. Bob and Phil in a Grateful Dead cover band. Uninspired misstep in Bob's career. I could care less about Phil. Even Billy K knocked this band. And John K is a suck.
how about you suck? Was that original enough for you? Billy K is a drunk wife-beater. Why the fuck is your name Jerry Garcia when you in fact don't give a fuck about what Bob and Phil have done which his maintain the spirit and legacy of the dead and not letting it die with Jerry. I'm sure you shit on Dead and Co too.

Looks like Vince finally figured out how to copy and paste. It's a computer I know it's difficult LMAO! Furthur was the best representation post Jerry Garcia. Joe Russo is better then both Mickey and Billy combined. Dead and Co is an absolute disgrace and Bob should pack it in or go back to Ratdog at least that was jazzy and heartfelt.

@@joeymuch2829 exactly he did say that thst clown made that up
He said exactly the opposite you stupid piece of shit.
Everything involving Phil and Bob post-Dead has been a massive, heart-rending disappointment. Nothing different here. Sorry man; I want to like it but I just can't. DSO is more satisfying, sadly.
Dead and Company has been great
Oh yeah! Furthur too! DSO? Not so much. (for me).
How the hell can you say DSO is better than anything Bob or Phil has done?! You must have been really dosed at the DSO show then to think that...sadly.
Lay off the dirty acid bud your so far off
And Dead and Company is horrible
@@done1675 agree with it all
@@jacknotreallyjackstrawfrom7109 Yeah I read that book where Phil and Jill were the evil and everyone else were bamboozled. Apparently even Bobby vs the drummers were their fault. Or just let the music play...
@@papajohnloki dude im not agreeing with that comment i am agreeing i like russo and dont care for Dead and co dont know what book you even mean

@@vince-367 Thank you Vince. Hit the nail on the head.
Whoever you are your pretty stupid. Go see flatbrim Jerry at nectars and over pay for it. I'm sure you could buy some signed john Mayer speedos for 5 grand. Looks like Vince finally figured out how to copy and paste. It's a computer I know it's difficult LMAO! Furthur was the best representation post Jerry Garcia. Joe Russo is better then both Mickey and Billy combined. Dead and Co is an absolute disgrace and Bob should pack it in or go back to Ratdog at least that was jazzy and heartfelt.
bill and mickey are washed up
It's been interesting watching John K go from playing MSG along side Bob and Phil, to relentlessly touring dive bars around the country like a true has-been. He had his 15 minutes of fame. Now he's back to being a pathetic Jerry wannabe.
I bet you love john Mayer you moron. If your older you should know what is good. Just another spent old schooler who ate the brown acid
I bet youre fun in real life
Really. Playing with Melvin Seals in JGB is doing dive bars? Interesting
Did you ever play with Furthur, Vince?
Saw these guys at the Binghamton Arena and I don't know what was more entertaining, the band or the old hippies putting on the floor show!
the band
