Really helpful video Neil, thank you. Fortunately I was able to replace the little hinge at the front without having to remove the handle completely. My offset screwdriver came in very handy when removing the broken portion from the handle itself. Of course when it came to removing the other half from inside the door it was necessary to remove the glass to access the 10mm nut. Thanks to you Neil I was able to accomplish this with relative ease. Replacing the glass was a bit fiddly at first but I found by sliding into the little white channel at the rear of the door helped to align the three fixing points. Would have been a lot harder without your helpful tips. Va liberal amount of lubrication should hopefully avoid any problems for a good while
it's the only video that shows how to remove the glass to access the nut that secures the broken hinge. Don't you have the video of how to go back to the glass? Thanks in advance.
Is there a knack to removing and replacing the rod you didnt remove from the handle? It doesnt have the turn bit to lock it in, but doesnt seem to want to snap into position and keeps falling out of the handle
i need to replace the door lock knob after a theft attempt. If you had to do that, would you go through the same steps or there's perhaps an alternative way you may recommend? Thanks!
@@ItaliaAutos do you have a any tips for fitting the door card back correctly.Ive sorted the handle but I can't get the door handle on correctly now.Been trying for a couple of weeks.
@@ItaliaAutos Fantastic vids! I need to remove my 147 (2001) driver-side door handle, as I want to see if I can fix the dust flap in the keyhole of the lock barrel. For the 147 (appreciate the GT is similar if not the same), Am I better off trying to unclip the Rods inside the door before removal? I'm really worried I'll snap the plastic/ nylon clips on the Rod ends and don't know if I can even get replacements. Cheers!
I repaired my GT today with your instructions. It works! Thank you and greetings from Switzerland.

can you see when you're reinstalling the rods or do you have to just feel for where they go? ps great vids on the gt, liked and subscribed.
You can look in and see but your hands might get in the way when fitting them so try in blind once you get the feel. Thanks
