The house keepers cupboard is quite a piece of furniture - amazing amount of things that can be accommodated in it - very useful indeed. I can see it also has extra shelving struts inside the main cupboard sections so you have the option to add more shelves. You won't find one of those in the standard shops for sure!
The housekeepers cupboard was quite an investment piece, We bought it as a hero piece to set the tone for the rest of the cottage. Yes, there is one shelf missing which we will replace at some point ☺

I’m redoing my little cottage as well here in Texas. We just finished the plumbing and bathrooms last week. We are two rooms away from redoing the kitchen. I also have a drawer full of new kitchen linens waiting on my kitchen renovation to be finished. In the meantime, I make my family use 20 year old napkins that smell like grease.
Sounds great (apart from the greasy smelling linens). Keep going and good luck.

Great (lovely and long) video. Like you, I have loved china from when I was young (60 now), and actually just homely things in general. I can remember watching The Railway Children and falling in love with the wallpaper in the hall - I must have been about 10 at the time!! Sadly, due to lack of space I have had to let most of my collections go and now mostly use Emma Bridgewater pottery, we don't entertain, and eat in the kitchen, so it seems right for us somehow. My favourite mug is an EB one pint mug for my tea (builders!). I was telling my friend about how you make an occasion of lunch on your own and how I must do the same. I now think you need to write an interiors book AND garden book as you have so much time on your hands (not!). Belated happy birthday to Mark. Your videos are so appreciated!
Which EB mug is your favourite l? I'd love to know. I'd love to write an interiors book but I'd be laughed at of the gardening section if I attempted to write a gardening book. I'm a total novice.
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle Currently it is the dandelion design one, although it does vary. I just love the shape of their designs especially the mugs and teapots (I have a ridiculous amount of EB teapots!!). I am thinking of a gardening using gardenalia type book - you'd be great! Have you seen the one by Sally Coulthard? That sort of thing! Hope you have a good break.

Loving your ramblings! We live In Attleborough, Norfolk, so not far from you. Hubby recently retired so we are looking forward to going round antiques emporiums and auctions, so might catch you at one sometime! I have my great grandmas serving plate from 1870, bird and bean design, black and white transfer. We call it our turkey plate as it comes out every year for Christmas dinner. I have an author friend who writes murder mysteries too, she does the fairs around Norfolk. Her name is Ali Carter, dead girls don’t cry is one of hers. Your garden cum courtyard looks a lot of hard work! We collect egg coddlers, as love the paintings on them, and also whiskey judges as they are great for custard and gravy! You mentioned a website for your business, but I can’t see it linked on your channel?

What is a ‘platter lunch” ? I assume like a charcuterie board? I have many of my Mother’s and her Mother’s dishes - many from England which I cherish and use many times throughout the year.
A platter lunch (I call it this - it's not an official term) is just made up of anything that can be shared on a platter - often a mix of meats, cheeses, nuts, pickled onions, olives and so on.

I began collecting Indian Tree some time ago and last year on visiting mum in Scotland I found a complete tea set in an Oxfam shop but as I couldn't take it back I left it, it was TEN pounds ! I mean what do you get for ten pounds , tea and a small sandwich !

Oh my I have loads of collectibles but too much clutter have royal doulton dishes all white and a Ukrainian set of dishes. Just my husband and I children all grown up HSVE grandchildren so we usually go to my sons I don’t entertain at home because I buy sell trade and keep to much stuff home is cluttered need to sell but is long tail sales. Anyways nice to have beautiful things thanks for sharing
