- It's the bee's knees and the only ingredient is honey!
RMC has an Amazon Storefront! If you see an ingredient or piece of equipment in a video and think you'd find it useful, click on the link and check it out. If you decide to purchase something in the storefront, I'll receive a small percentage, but it won't increase your price at all.

Directions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Apply a light coat of cooking spray to the parchment
Place 254 grams (3/4 cup) of honey and a candy thermometer in a saucepan
Cook it over medium heat until the temperature reaches 280° F
Pour the honey onto the baking sheet
Let it set until it’s cool enough to handle. Don’t wait too long or it’ll be too hard to work with
Fold the honey into a ball
Stretch it and fold it back onto itself
What you’re doing here is aerating the honey
You’ll notice the color changing from amber to a light tan
When it reaches the consistency you’d like, separate it into halves
Roll each piece into a 12-inch "snake"
Cut each taffy snake into 6 pieces
Form each piece into whatever shape you’d like
Wrap each piece in some cellophane or wax paper

Great video! My 6 year old daughter and I have started watching your videos and really enjoy them! We loved the honey facts!
Aww, thank you so much! 😊
As a kid 60s years ago a treat was vinegar taffy from recipe in the Searchlight cookbook. It was very good and fun to pull.
I recently saw a recipe for vinegar candy and thought I should give it a try. Stick around. 😁
What a long ingredient list lol, looks lovely!
I had to write it down! 🤣
Working on this this afternoon, yes, of course with honey but not so hot.
I think that's a great idea. 😊
Now I’m going to think about all the bees that died making every bite of honey I take.
36 per piece of taffy.
Oof.
At least they died doing what they were meant to do. RIP 🐝 😍
I loved learning about the bees and how honey gets made!
The bees thank you for your support. 😁
Really interesting to learn about the honey stomach, so thankful for bees!
Bees are amazing!
Hey Randy (compadre) do you know how to make MOLASSES (Piloncillo) TAFFY ? Thanks 🙏
I've never heard of it, but I'll definitely look it up. Thanks for the suggestion! 😊
1st try and what a mess but it worked
Welcome to the journey, compadre! I'm very happy to have you along for the ride. 😊
What language is it that you're speaking when you eat? I've been trying to figure it out for a while now and the best guess I can come up with is bulgarian, but I'm not sure if that's right.
It's a Gaelic toast that translates to "Good health."
💖💖😋😋😋😋
😁
What's shelf life
Honey can be stored indefinitely, so I imagine these could be stored in an airtight container for quite some time.
@@RandyMakesCandy maybe 3 months? Can you give some commercial recipes for business i want to start my handmade candy business (soft chew hard butter )and many more
Maybe 3 months, but I'm not a food scientist, so I can't say for sure. You're welcome to use any recipe I've posted. Good luck on your business venture. 😊
@@RandyMakesCandy thanks ❤️ may Allah (God)bless you
