The British sure are coming for that nostalgia with large battles, large navies and sinking their own ships... Ahhhh the memories are coming back from the begginning of the campaign...
The cadet's name was Hermann. Hermann Singer. It was, they said, quite a common surname at the place he came from. It doesn't matter one bit. The Mecklenburg doesn't care about fancy names or anything of the kind. Her only need is shells- a lot of them at that- and oil. And a decent sacrifice of sixteen hundred men, to keep old Neptune joyful in his halls in the Abyss. But Mecklenburg is grateful and does the Kaiser's bidding. Just this morning her alarms woke up Hermann Singer, they ordered him to battle stations. Her hallways led him, her walls protected him. He went to do his duty - rangefinding for the ship's eight inchers- upon her towers. There he met Unteroffizier Reuenthal again. The Officer winked and passed by him, his own work was mainly at the plotting rooms and the calculators, deep beneath the ship's Krupp made hide. And the cadet still went on his usual task. He had grown accustomed to reading the rangefinder's results by now. He fed the data through the intercom and saw as the secondaries opened up. Mostly misses. But that is how first salvos work anyway. After an hour or so of fighting the show was over. Hermann was still quite tired, his eyes almost gauged out by the painful machinations of the stereoscopic rangefinder. However painful, though, the instruments must have been working perfectly. Two British battleships were sent down without as much as a scratch. The cadet looked out and over the ocean. He pondered for a while about the matter-of-factness of the whole engagement. How sending two small cities to the bottoms was treated with the same excitement as an office job. He thought: ' I serve her and she serves me. She keeps me alive. That simple.' News came over the intercom about a single casualty. Some poor chap from Niedersachsen that stood too close to an exploding British 2 incher. Hermann understood now. The sailor's duty is his ship. The ship's duty is to kill.

That would be pretty boring, given a fleet of snipers with a spotter is one of the most lame things you can do in this game. It's also a pretty effective thing, so if you want to win that's what you should try to do (except you can't because in the beginning your crew levels are shit and you achieve nothing).

Since Ariadne proved how powerful technologically advanced light cruiser can be - and she really only lacked a little bit punch to wipe out ALL of the battlecruisers - maybe admiralty would consider a new class of CL - with same secondaries, but primaries designed to kill BCs, and of course - all available new technologies. Speed and stealth would have to remain the same for it to be effective though. Maybe...?
Wouldn't the midships design be more 'efficient' as a Nelson style build? the citadel should be roughly the same length without requiring broadside to achieve firing angles.
they really need to overhaul torpedo spam, its not that these ships didn't have torpedoes but its not that realistic that they could have ever afforded the level of spam they do, like you just couldn't fling 10% of your gdp in torpedoes every battle
You didn't even need to push in with the Mecklenburg. You already had 85% accuracy before you turned in, and it dropped to 55% when you did. Look at 25:06 when you order the Kurfurst to turn. Her accuracy goes from a decent 14% to 0.2%. I think the Mk 1 large guns are just outright terrible if you're maneuvering. Might want to set the main battery to save, just to avoid spending 4 minutes reloading for a shot with a 1-2% chance to hit.
The thing is by doing the stupid thing is kind of mismatch with your admiral persona. Also with standard shell or better now your damage back on track.
