Sounds like a few bad drivers. Also a shame to see their abandoned AL-6000Rs. They have the older chain driven rotators, and are the only known ones to have them. The replacement is twice as powerful, but is probably underpowered, and has blown drivers. Just a matter of time until an enthusiast snags one of these tronics.
All three ati sirens have a sort of lean and the one at the sheriffs office doesn’t rotate anymore Menominee definitely doesn’t take care of them even though they are so rare
I don't think these are actual HPSS32Rs. There's a good chance they are 16Rs. The cabinets are smaller than what the ones in Longmont and typically are used for their 1600 watt systems. The longer ones in that system had an additional set of batteries to drive it. I also remember seeing documentation of early run HPSS16R's using 4 horns. I believe they started to double up on the driver count at some point to make them more powerful and to make the 1600 watt version more compact. I could be wrong though.
These rotational ATI’s actually reach farther than you think. It’s the HPSS-(white speaker array thingys) that aren’t as great but ATI’s overall are great sirens
@ATI HPSS 16R I'm already being harassed for using a Twister enthusiasts Instagram name for my UA-cam channel name. I told her to stop and she didn't. I even told her I had autism, but she never listened to me 🥺
I believe these are often improperly configured; they are supposed to rotate 360° during operation but most end up stationary during operation and rotate 90° after as seen here. Drivers are also hardwired to the amp as can also be seen so they're not capable of continuous rotation; they must reverse direction after 360°
Big ass doorbell
Yep
also loud as f
Yeah a big ass doorbell

Is that what that other siren next to it is?

The first 2 notes of the chimes actually recreate the newer Schindler HT down chime.

Sirens just have the beautiful wind up wail
I like the fact that there was a whelen looking siren was next to this.
are you talking about the aca alertronic?
Test of the doorbell chime system.
Im pretty sure the alertronic is still used because it's facing a different direction on every different StreetView timeline
Those alertronics are basically wind vanes
@@TheSirenGeek oh that must be why, kinda sucks That they just left it there

16Rs are smaller than 32Rs. 16Rs are like a small rectangular shape while 32Rs are bigger
@@bengalsfan04 The cabinet is the one they used on the HPSS16 and HPSS16R. Even though it has four horns it's 16R, one driver per horn.
@@DJ2226 wow. I didn't know that. I'm not a siren enthusiast but I'll get there

Very calming not like when they blare then
two tornado sirens?!?!
Put 2 together and you get an alertronic 5000
The alertronic would've been much better instead of replacing it with garbage they should've kept it instead
Tbh, it's not really garbage, it does chimes, chimes on an ATI are beautiful so it's not garbage

So are those sirens just used for voice and chimes? Never seen one do alert before!
I've seen a ati hpss 16r do yeow and alert
Means westminter chime!
Is this the only one still out there or are there more of these? If so how many?
Anyone know when these sirens were installed
Ahhh Cool
Rip alertronic :( pretty cool find tho.
hmm so this one dosent rotate when it chimes
why does it sound like peppa pig but in a cursed horror game
That is not an HPSS-32R, that is an early HPSS-16R.
why did they have to replace the alertronic
Look at the control box see how old it is the control box has quit working so the alertronic is inactive
Woah nice
ATTENTION: Someone is at the door!
Is there another siren beside of it
Yes it’s a first generation Alertronic
yep
Is the alertronic next to the ati active?
They shouldn't have replaced the electronics
