This thing must have been LOUD in person It’s a rotating directional 3200watt siren running on an analog ESC-864 The 4008 was and still is the loudest electronic siren ever manufactured and the analog controls are just barely louder then the digital controls so an analog 4008 is the loudest configuration whelen ever offered
It's quite literally two 4004s stacked on top of each other into one siren, with additional brackets covering the top and bottom of the throat section.
This made my jaw drop to the floor. This has to be the best sounding analog Whelen recording I’ve ever heard. Remarkable work here!
This is an absolute masterpiece no cap
These are so much more scary than the digital whelens.
YEAH RIGHT??!?
I agree 1 year ago me
Thats awesome. Never knew of any of these that ran on analog controls before. Love the way it sounds
Friendsville TN is the only other active one we know about. A bunch of the Seabrook ones were analog before getting 2030s.
This video is awesome, love the timing.
Great video! Looks like the top bracket went missing at some point, lol.

This is like the 4004’s big brother, taller and skinnier

It reminds me of a 3016 also
Nice vid, this things sounds great!
Awesome video buddy! Sounds so good
I kinda like how it looks with the top cover/housing missing.
Looks very odd with the top piece missing. Great video!
Agreed. It's the first thing I noticed.
Amazing video! Interesting that it doesn't have the top brace
Great video!
I’ve never seen it 4008 with no top cover
This has got to be an early 4008 since the 4008 came out in 1988 and the controller is tuned to a high pitch.
Now this is rare!!!
My favorite recording of an ESC-864
Very awesome!!
Analog = rare. Sounds like a 2001-130
Holy shit that’s amazing.
Starting to think this is the Very Rare Whelen 4000-II
Half of one, perhaps
That 4008 looks like the Alertronic RE-1600
the top is gone and how to fix that siren
Sounds pretty good!
Will there be any plans to replace this siren? Because I hope to record it before its replaced in the near future
None currently
It’s now replaced with a Federal Signal 2001 😞
This almost looks like a WPS 4004 and a 3016
Fucking amazing! Seems very loud to distort the audio.
No a fence but I don’t like dull tone. I’m not a big fan of it but btw great video glad to see you recording sirens again.
This isn't dual tone it is single tone. Glad you liked the video
Oh then well I don’t like this single tone no a fence
Update 8-28 this siren is now replaced with a Federal Signal 2001
What happent to his roof cover on his top
Whelen Alertronic AL-4000
Is this siren still up?
This thing got replaced a few weeks ago
Wow! Sounds so amazing!
*FOAMING*
this siren is freakishly louder than a 2001-130
It looks like a Alertronic now because of the top cover is gone .😂
Alertronic WPS 4008
Alertronic AL-4008

@@Toryganteng61The siren has been replaced by a 130, and no the siren does not have pronouns.

Very nice
Oh yeah baby!
It is missing the top curved piece
Nice video
Oh yes
Lots of drip coming out of MN that day.
Siren Starts At 3:00
Wait….this is an OLD controller…I thought the 4008’s had the same as the 4004’s…
BRUH

Kinda sounds like a 2001.
