Love the dogs and property. I hope your neighbors are cool, lol. I am trying to train my 1 1/2 year old Husky/German Shepard. She is more than a handful....keep up the vids and the great work!!
They are super cool! our ultimate goal though is to have a kennel and a facility where we can save more dogs. We are extremely limited here with what we can do.
Right on. We are in TN too. This design is exactly what I am hoping will work for us. Are any of your kennel dogs also house dogs? We have an indoor dog and want to get him a mate to breed. I think that our home might get too tight with 2 house dogs but I know that we will want them to come in sometimes. The kennel sight that we are interested in is a few yards away from the house.
when we bring in the dogs we house them at night in Impact dog crates. We are at 8 dogs in the kennel right now and we try to keep it fair to all of them. One day we will get a property and be able to rescue all the babies
oh yes for sure. Our outdoor set up is a place for them to go during the day when we can't be here and they can still be outside and enjoying the weather and not be cooped up all day.
I have a apbt that has destroyed several chain link kennels so my question is have you had any of your dogs destroy these kennels by chewing on the wire?
these aren't made anymore. I would look at Tractor supply they make a quality dog kennels for outdoors. I like putting the kennels on concrete. they are easy to clean, keeps the nails short, and keeps the dogs from digging giant holes.
So I'm thinking of setting up 2 kennels like this with caging and concrete pads. I was wondering if it would be OK for 2 dogs to be next to each other in different cages if they were going to be buddies. I have a chill male malnios and getting a 9 week old female pit bull
100% ok and if one becomes kennel proud (barking and such at the other) they make a separator you can put up. I am a huge fan of concrete for the ability to clean up. I saw one of our work dogs get very sick off a dirt kennel floor that was only temp while we built out the kennel. Concrete and a simple green wash once a week.
No as long as you have a place to drain and clean you will be great. We are designing our indoor kennels as we speak. We are big on wanting an center drain to keep the dogs healthy
When you have when you're living in Colorado it snows and I have four dogs it's two Pomeranians and two chihuahuas and I wanted to ask if when you have them out there if it's possible to put like a heater to weatherize it and how would I go about doing that
we use a dog box from impact dog crates called a condo. I will post a link here for you to see. ua-cam.com/video/Nix30lIwp4o/v-deo.html we love these dog condos they are really nice for the dogs to get outside time in the cold.
I recently put a 5x10 kennel in my yard for my dog while I go to work. Hes actually not too much trouble with trashing the yard - but I’m still feel safer with him in the kennel rather than running wild all day. Current problem is: he absolutely throws a fit when I put him in kennel. So what’s the proper strategy to help him be ok with it?
the ones we have went out of Business but I would think anything with a heavier gage wire and welded would do the trick. I will think on this one and see what I can find for you
I think just approaching them on the odor and asking them to handle it is always the best way. I would much rather you told me face to face then any other way. They may not know there is an odor. I use a lot of natural odor suppressors on my yard to keep everyone happy. No noise is a hole other deal. You can def work towards your dogs ignoring the sounds but it won't be easy. find a drive they would rather have than investigating the sound maybe? Good luck I hope you can get it worked out.

We house them in my shop at night with a heater on. I will do a video on it when we get it sorted and cleaned up. We also worked with @impactdogcrates to try out the "dog Condo" and it is an amazing insulated dog box. www.impactdogcrates.com/collections/accessories
Concrete will be easier to clean and won't hold bacteria like wood or dirt will. Gravel would be my next choice just be ready to replace it with new every year or so.
Concrete will keep the area easier to clean. Plus dirt will hold onto disease more than concrete. we lost a dog once in the army when we were using a temp kennel.
What if you have only one dog? Will it get lonely away from its family (pack) smells? What about one puppy, 3 months old in a kennel by itself all day? Isn't that cruel?
Def not crewel to leave a dog in a kennel all day. I will tell you a puppy doesn't have as much control over its bladder that young and you could come home to an accident. I don't blame them or make a big deal out of accidents like that we just reenforce going outside as a happy good job thing. I believe in kenneling dogs when you cannot supervise them in order to keep them safe. We do things like frozen Kong toys or long term chew antlers to make their time in the kennel fun. A dog is like a four year old child. If you give them enough trouble to get in they will. Pack stuff. If I got a puppy and didn't have another dog for it to pack up with I would become that dogs pack. I usually try to plan my days around dog centric things. This dog will look to you as the pack leader so have fun with it. I know lots of people that only have one dog and are very successful. I must be a dog hoarder though I am at 8 right now. Thank you for the questions these are great
I love this idea I work 10 hours a day and would much prefer my dog outside, but not destroy the yard
Beautiful setup.
Thank you for showing this for an outdoor kennel very informative!
our daily is a tough one for sure but love it.
Great job Travis! Kennel looks fantastic and a great additional for their (the pups) well being.
Ya keep the heat and the cold off of them will help me in the management of them.

Excellent. Very good. Keep up the wonderful work. Bravo.
Doing our best we cant wait to do more.
One of my channels has it's a floor wood and the other candle is cement
I went with concrete just for the longevity of the structure. I have used wood in the past as well with a solid product.
What are your thoughts on a good change setup

I honestly can't find anything similar to what you have! Do you have any alternative recommendations that have a solid build?
Any videos coming on K9 medical? Any knowledge would be great!! Love what your doing!
hit up our med page 2Cmed I will be doing some cool stuff with Karl on that platform soon
What about shade , rain,, if you leave your Dogs in those outside little kennels all day.
He explained that part. How the hell did you miss it? 😂
Good advice!
I hope people listen with these higher drive dogs.
Hi, this kennel looks great and your dogs look happy. We have a Labrador , he’s nearly a year old. Do you think this would suit him?
oh yes for sure. Our outdoor set up is a place for them to go during the day when we can't be here and they can still be outside and enjoying the weather and not be cooped up all day.
Amazing video❤️
Thanks so much
Advice on how to clean poo and maintenance cleanliness. Thanks
I am a big fan of Simple green and pressure washing once a week. It keeps the kennel very clean and hygienic for the dogs
How large is each enclosure for a German shepherd
Hi there! How is the concrete slab's resistance against urine? Mine started crumbling after few month. Thank you!

But what do you do when it’s snowing outside? Won’t they freeze??
What size is the concrete pad??? Awesome setup
I built it 22' x 12' to accommodate 10' x5' dog kennels
I wish there was a link to a similar kennel ☹ I have been searching and no luck

Why no isolation panels? Less conflict with dogs and more den feel with isolation panels.
we dont put fighters next to each other

I agree they need space to move and hang. I am a fan of outdoor kennels so they aren't so much energy when you get home

What is the size of the outside kennel
Where did you get those from
unfortunately the company went out of business. They made an incredible product.
Where did you get the metal kennel?
the one inside the kennel is called the condo from impact the outer kennel is from a company that went out of business a few years ago called L bar M
Where did you get the concrete from and kennel from
concrete I used a local vendor. The Kennels are no longer made I wish they were. I am a fan of welded metal if you do get a kennel
What would you recommend for an outside kennel for areas that have harsher winters. Concrete, rock, ?
Concrete with a cover. I am a huge fan of the Impact dog condos. they are insulated for when it gets to hot or to cold.
So concrete is better build on than dirt, gravel or wood? I'm building a kennel for my dogs. I got 6 dogs😂

How big are the kennels
individually 5x10
What’s the size of the material for everything
I think the kennel is the large 40" kennel
I don't have the original materials list but it was a lot. The kennel floor plan is 12'x24'

How much does a kennel like that cost?

Do they have a potty area inside the kennel space?
they tend to pick a corner and make it easier to clean. You do have some that are gross and poop everywhere and spread it.
How big is ur concrete and how many kennel are on it
The pad is 25x12 I want to say. We put 10x5 kennels on it. We have four kennel spaces
