- Please enjoy this version of Billie Jean imagined for solo jazz piano! Arranged, improvised and performed by Dave Frank. Recorded live at Dave's studio in Peekskill NY 2/1/23.
That was unbelievable!
Nice job Dave.
thanks bubbie)
Very cool arrangement so good to hear you!
be grateful you don't have to smell me
Very cool!
Very intersting arrangement of the song sir :) I like how you build it up and then bring it down both dynamically and speedwise around the chorus section. Also the left hand pattern which is constantly being played, would be so hard maintain throughout the song. The little dancing stars - Michael, you and the green goblin also added much to the vibe :)
Tristano meets Jackson hahaha
Excellent! Cheers Dave. 😊
thanks Stuart)
It's quite hard to keep that bass line going and hitting that melody at the same time. Impressive Dave! How long did it take you to get independence with this bass line?
Sorry, I saw someone already asked this... 1 month? Will definitely make you sweat 💪😅
@@waynehoughton770 yes about one month of heavy practicing before it all started to click..
Dave..you should also do the dance video for it. Start practicing your moon walk now !! Lol
Yes, that will be the Homer Simpson version of Billie Jean)
Sounds amazing Dave. Was it hard to play the right hand against that repeating LH ostinato? I love the little MJ dancing on your piano.
hi Henrietta, yes it was hard to play over the ostinato, it took about a month of practice before it got more comfortable..
