I believe that most of them are just using the name of the Lord and prophesying lies that God never told

Sometimes when people are spiritually starving they're like a diabetic......they'll eat anything out of desperation. They're vulnerable,broken, or discouraged and innocently and blindly just EAT. But not all prophetic words are accurate. Also,a lot of people are still new at operating in the gifts. Good insight Alwyn.

Amen. A powerful word indeed, confirmation. I've been sad because as I look around I see groups and individuals who listen while holding their own agenda. God is speaking so clearly but they are choosing to hear by soul/flesh instead of spirit. This is one way ears are tickled, and it leads not to eternal life but to death. This is what I’ve been telling my sisters lately. Test the spirit/prophecy. Eat the meat, spit out the bones. In my days of living… when I’ve received a prophetic word, it was usually confirmation of what God has spoken to me already.

God gave me a prophetic word 20 years ago, and all the people around me either told me I was lying or crazy, or simply said nothing and treated me as though I was lying or crazy. I did, however, write the words of the Lord down on paper, and I have other words brought to my mind on occasion. So while I was silenced, I still keep these things close to my heart, and I speak when I can. Pray the Lord will give me new words to say and a path to say them so that others will listen! I'm sure there are others in my position because many people in the church today do not believe that God does miracles like this any more, and they therefore attempt to silence those around them to whom the Lord speaks.

Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Help me to find strength when I am weak, And hope when I am afraid. @@Jmharris46 God can use anyone. The thing about prophecy is it is in part, prophecy is geared on what God is speaking to you in that season of time. So when seeking more so outside prophecy it should confirm. The Master's voice doesn't necessarily give prophecies as it pertains to what this person is asking. Their prophecy are mainly political and end time driven, but is very fear based- are not centered on scripture. End time prophecies are supposed to not proliferate fear instead should prepare and encourage as you see with the Agabus' prophecy of the famine in Acts 11: 27-28. The prophetic dream lady, I listened out of curiosity she is proclaiming that things have begun in her prophecy one i listened to she says from the angel Gabriel. But what she says doesn't align with scripture as has not begun not per scripture. End Time prophecy and the book of Revelation is not about events in the end. It is the revelation of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who is the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. If that is your focus, your understanding when you study will not be in knowing every detail of what is to come, it's about knowing the Lord and being in His perfect will, who keeps you until His coming. Apostle Paul said it best- If we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel than the one we preached.... And Jesus warns in Matthew 24 many will come in His name but let no one deceive you, that was the true warning, the wars and rumors of wars, plagues, etc are just things to come. We hold fast to what is certain, eternal, true- our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prophecy if you are led should encourage, even when it warns, you in the way of the Lord and equip you, but you should have intimacy yourself. Prophecy encourages- this is the goal- 1 Corin-26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for [a]edification. Focus on your relationship with the Lord and His Word. Shalom.

Amen! I've been betrayed and put down by others for years, but God knows and He's in control.
Only now have I understood that it's happened to me with someone! It's always important to stand on the truth and not be deceived by the flesh when interpreting and/or delivering a word or a vision. But the good news is that the flesh or demonic distractions always get revealed when God's light shines on them.

God gave me a picture recently about this. He showed me that I am walking down a path and all these voices were beside me and behind me. He said as I put one foot in front of the other and keep my focus up ahead and keep on walking these voices would get less and less until one day I will not hear them anymore. He said now open your eyes and as I did I found myself in this most beautiful peaceful wonderful place. Like an oasis. He said this where you will get to by doing this. I wanted to share as I hope it helps someone else in there walk with God.
