You can still improve in all of these simultaneously right? At the moment I'm following a plan with overcoming and quasi isometrics, as well as high rep calisthenics, and resistance cardio so I'm wondering if it'll just not get me anywhere or if it'll actually get me great results overtime.
You mentioned carrying a backpack and I suddenly understood why I was so strong my sophomore year in highschool. My chem teacher tried to move it out of the way once and asked how much it weighed. We checked and turns out I had been lugging around 20 lbs of schoolwork that had accumulated over the school year up and down 4 flights of stairs everyday.
Yeah. I can't lift much, but i found a vest at work that weighs around 100lbs and wore it for 4 and a half hours while moving furniture reasonably comfortably.
Hi JaxBlade, my name's Dillon and I'm soon to be 17, over recent years I have been on and off trying to get in shape as I've always seen my favourite anime characters with these amazing bodies and always wanted to try and replicate that in a way. I've been watching your videos for a while and although originally my approach to fitness was way off the mark, watching you and others like GokuFlex has really helped me to workout correctly and sort out my terrible habits with food. Anyway to cut this short, thank you so much for the amazing work you do for all your viewers and keep up with this for as long as you are able. Thanks again!! -Dillon Mountford
I feel that relative strength is important because being able to move myself through a plane of motion is a foundation of overall strength. Controlling self comes first whereas controlling everything is secondary...it can't be vice versa. My absolute strength is basic but I feel that I can progress further with developing my relative strength.
Most definitely. Mobility and having the ability to knock somebody out cold quickly, or even avoid overwhelming situations easier and being difficult to catch in a chase for longer are definitely a short man or woman's best friend.
I just imagine someone getting lifted up by another person, and the person lifted up is like "Okay, you can put me down now.", but the person just keeps them up in the air, so the one still lifted up starts to freak out since he's not being put down.
BOOMUHFUGGA, as a human being, I know I’m a greedy guy so I’ll choose all forms of strenght wahahhahaa Hearing Jaxblade say we’re the monsters makes me feel motivated to go back to working out
I'm training for a mixture of aesthetics and relative strength (I want decent definitions). Your pull up example is great because it's my measure of progress. During Covid I lost tons of progress but since August I not only surpassed it but got to new heights. And your vids are amazing inspiration for me for that my dude!
BOOMUHFUGGA!!!!!! I basically want to look like Kickass did at the end of the second movie and I want the upper body strength to do one handed pullups just like him. You're videos are my inspiration to make it happen for myself because you show me that it's possible and I thank you everyday for doing what you do! Also, I'm strongest at carrying a bunch of weight for long distances. 💯
11:42 That’s a great explanation, I’ve been doing callisthenics since high school and was super energetic. Always wondered if I actually just had an undiagnosed disability. 😊

Relative strength building is my personal goal, I like how it’s like increasing strength efficiency. But I don’t have a body type that builds that naturally. My body builds explosive and absolute strength more easily in comparison. Makes doing calisthenics more difficult when I’m bulking up as I go.
Very interesting information. I didn't even know there were different types of strength. I just learned that I only have explosive strength. I wondered why I felt weak whenever I saw others being good at other types.
Me thinks im gonna try to focus on explosive strength and my endurance. That's the strength of a protector, the body of someone who will defend and take hits for others. At least, to me, that's what it looks like. And that's my aim, so I'll gun for it.
God I miss binging your content, bro. Always puts a smile on my face! 😁 But, we gonna ignore the fact that Jax's dog is trained to allow deranged serial killers into his house?
I've always thought that explosive strength (power as I've been taught it) is my favourite strength type because it affects and improves a lot of the activities and other things i like to do anyway. I'm always jumping around my house and swinging every which way, and being able to do that to a high degree makes me feel good.
@olaliaenterprises I'm the same, but only once I go to leave my bed. The moment i decide to commit to that, I'm running down halls and bouncing between door-frames. It's invigorating.
Absolute strength is everything... me trying not to sound like Jiren XD Hey Jax! love the videos! I haven't been training a whole lot these past 2 years and decided to pack up my stuff and move, the moment I saw a place close to my gym I bought it immediately, soon I'll be literally a next door neighbor to my gym and can go there at any time of the day as long as they're open I'm wondering if you have any less expensive life hacks to make you wanna go to the gym? My plan is literally me thinking I can't possibly be too lazy to work out like an hour a day if the gym is right next to me
Some days you're just not going to feel it. Make it a point just to go. If all you do is walk in the door, lift some light dumbbells or hop on the treadmill for five minutes, more than likely you're going to want to keep going. If you still don't want to workout after five or so minutes, then you legitimately didn't feel like working out that day, and you at least gave it a solid effort.
@@ShyBoy6ty9 That's a really good idea, I've moved by now, and I still haven't been able to go all that much, I've sort of been depressed about it, but I'm hoping to turn it around for good this spring, if it gets to stick now, then I don't see anything except war or an apocalypse that could stop my routine. BOOMUHFUGGA I'm a endomorph and growing up I've always helped my Mum and grandparents move awkward and heavy objects for long periods of time, but my goal is to become a Professional Boxer. I've got a long way to go, but it ain't going to stop me from giving my all!
11:40 lmao same my dude, I feel like a tweaker sometimes due to the sheer overflow of energy It’s amazing how efficient the human body becomes once one takes care of it properly :) Been watching your content for around 8 years and it’s still as good as ever, keep up the amazing work
BOOMUHFUGGA! If I had to pick just one to improve I'd say my relative strength, my pull ups are not where I want them to be. My endurance and explosive strength are both pretty good. I walk just about everywhere (college, shops, town etc) usually carrying something or other, I do a fair amount of cardio both steady state and interval and I always incorporate some form of explosive exercise into my routine. I probably could stand to lift more but right now I'm just annoyed at how quickly I gas on pull ups.
I have naturally high absolute and endurance, but lower explosive and very low relative. I know that my relative strength is low because of my fatness so that's something I've got to work on. Diet control is sooo hard for me
Explosive works the best with my body, I find since I wrestle(judo) I find explosive helps the most overall. Cause you can always catch your breath and explode again. (Pause)
BOOMUHFUGGA! For me I would go for explosive strength training, this way I can try to end fights as quickly as possible and if i can't, then I can always run away. My endurance is trash so it is something I would like to focus on to increase my chances of surviving an encounter with Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers.
Heck yeah! I'm a short stocky dude, so I've got a good amount of raw strength. It's my relative strength that's still lagging. I can lift heavy weight, squat with more than my own body weight on my shoulders, but my pull up is pretty trash haha
Jax!! Great video.. live many of your videos. Especially because I'm a fairly small girl who loves working with giant swords and keep my cardio up and stay well in good health with my heart and joints! Your anime routines are awesome. I seriously have been working with BATTLE FIT LEAGUE and the swords are AMAZING and the only ones on the market that I have found that are actually super strong and weighted for my training! You inspire awesome workouts and I absolutely love and enjoy my BATTLE FIT workouts beyond belief! It's a full-body, fun and functional workout that uses swords! Cannot get any more warrior that that. I am having so much fun!
So walking up and down hilly terrain for 3 miles with a 30 pound backpack on my back in an hour for all 4 years of high school was training to survive a horror movie, I need to to start that up again after the sound of this video
BOOMUHFUGGA! I really like calisthenics, and running and swimming, and would really like to attend karate classes, but can't right now because of certain circumstances. So basically, I'm interested in training in relative strength, explosive strength, and strength endurance. Great video btw
genetically i've always been best at absolute and explosive str(just wrapped up a explosive str cycle recently) but for the past few years I focused more on str endurance and relative str to be more well rounded. So I'm kinda good at all of it now(I'm also old as shit so i been training for a while).
Boomuhfugga, I believe that everyday training is important . You gave four relative options for every human being and I appreciate that about you. Keeping making this incredible videos
I think I have a lot of endurance but I'm really trying to work on my relative strength. Lifting weights and absolute strength doesn't interest me anymore like when I was younger. Especially after getting minor injuries from lifting. I much prefer body weight stuff. I just have to stay motivated and keep working out.
BOOMUHFUGGA! My main goal right now would be to lose some weight I acquired over the last few years, but a longer term goal would be to compete in like highland games or something similar.
This helped me understand my body soooo much better, now I know I got more relative strength naturally and I wanna build my explosive and endurance 🙏🔥🔥🔥
Hey Jax stay watching your videos and appreciate your knowledge on fitness. Just wanted to ask why do people with higher muscle mass would have less punching power than someone who has less. I always thought it would be the other way around until I seen Davis the boxer punch harder than certain heavy weights the math don't add up lol.
Foreal? We should get a slasher movie where one or more guys excel at these strengths and they make it show VERY clearly, but despite their power, the monster still bodies them after a decent struggle. It wouldn't diminish the might of the dudes that die, but rather it makes the bad thing in the silver screen feel _more deservedly_ scary. You can even say, both sides drop a BOOMUHFUGGA on the watcher.
Personally I've come to believe that in the end you're only in competition with yourself....how good are you now compared to how you were, and where you want to be. Don't worry about what the other guy is doing or can do, or did do. Not gonna lie, it took awhile to get to that view and it's easy to slip ( also I didn't come up with it, I read it somewhere else at some point years ago and realized the person had a damned good point ) back into the mindset of worrying about how the other person is doing and comparing yourself. But I still think it's healthier mindset than comparing yourself to others. That being said for a number of reasons ( diet and laziness on my part being big ones ) I'm super fat right now and really need to start getting some sort of exercise, just improving my diet won't cut it. That's my motivation
Train all of these, and you somehow unlock the power of the female protagonist in AvP; the ability to survive multiple alien horrors, while only having a sexy little cut on your face. I've been a big fan of the growth of Natural Movement; Bing mindful of functionality. To Carry, climb, jump, fight, and throw. Those movement that are inimical to the human experience. Boomuhfugga
BOOMUHFUGGA You've always inspired me to work on calisthenics and bodyweight. My next goal is a muscled up, which I think would be pretty helpful in these situations.
Im more interested in (body flow, using the momentum of multiple parts of the body), muscle memory and reaction time plus endurance, and a Simi fit build, what is the best type of exercises for that?
11:51 Hey, I live on a Farm 😂 I would fall relatively nice in Relativ, Explosiv and Muscel Edurenz. I can do 16 Pull Ups, I can do some (not clean) Muscel Ups and can jump really high, highest ecualy from all people I personally know. And Im also a Quite solid thrower. And going regually cycling. Just lacking in Max Strenght couse I never went in my live to a Gym 😂 And were should I get the weight for it😂 Want to increase im Relativ, but Max should also get some work Boommuhfagga Great Video ;)
First off @JaxBlade Boomuhfugga, I am short woman and I'd say the form of strength that I have is speed, agile and endurance. I like going hiking when have the time to so but usually go on paths that not for first time hikers. And then there's my running which I try to do five days at lest or six days I give my self at lest one rest day. I think I'll work more on relative strength training, but over all I am happy were at because I know I can run for the hills or clime a tree if there's a monster bump in the night. I want to know will you ever do a tire list of horror movie monsters?
Another great vid! I've been working on relative strength lately, by way of calisthenics. I see it as like the oxygen mask on a plane. You can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first. And BOOMUHFUGGA!
BOOMUHFUGGA‼️‼️‼️ And I'm going for the top 3 lol. I'm pretty good at relative and explosive strength but I wanna work on my absolute and endurance more

I play volleyball and I want to jump higher, can you maybe make a video with exercises and explanations way they are great, that would be super cool
I have no talent like rock lee but I feel with explosives muscle training would be fun because I want to hide my power level like Luffy
Currently I wieght 230lbs, I can bench press 300lb, squat 305lb, and deadlift 275lbs. I can ride my bike 15miles in one hour. 10 pull ups.
How about doing a video on what your power level would be if the dragon ball z characters were all human. And their power levels were attainable.

Boomuhfugga

You've always inspired me to work on calisthenics and bodyweight. My next goal is a muscled up, which I think would be pretty helpful in these situations.
I am going to go back to your old, halloween videos this month 😁
0:36 the collaboration of
Kingdom Hearts 🔑X Samuel Jackson 🤬
BOOMUHFUGGA!!! I'm trying to work on my Explosive Strength and Endurance.
Boomuhfugga I’m definitely an endurance strength person, and I’m working on explosive strength!
Im more interested in (body flow, using the momentum of multiple parts of the body), muscle memory and reaction time plus endurance, and a Simi fit build, what is the best type of exercises for that?
BOOMUHFUGGA- The type of strength I think I have more of is absolute. Would definitely want to work on relative and Endurance.
I'm not really good at any of these lol but the ones I'm most interested in are the explosive strenght and absolute strenght
BOOMUFUGGA
I’m most effective in explosive strength but I would like to get some relative strength
11:51 Hey, I live on a Farm 😂
I would fall relatively nice in Relativ, Explosiv and Muscel Edurenz.
I can do 16 Pull Ups,
I can do some (not clean) Muscel Ups and can jump really high, highest ecualy from all people I personally know. And Im also a Quite solid thrower.
And going regually cycling.
Just lacking in Max Strenght couse I never went in my live to a Gym 😂 And were should I get the weight for it😂
Want to increase im Relativ, but Max should also get some work

Great Video ;)
Deadlift a few cows and you'll be good
First off @JaxBlade Boomuhfugga, I am short woman and I'd say the form of strength that I have is speed, agile and endurance.
I most definitely should haha
Seeing jaxblade post is so great
Another great vid! I've been working on relative strength lately, by way of calisthenics. I see it as like the oxygen mask on a plane. You can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first. And BOOMUHFUGGA!
Relative strength is my goal to improve my mobility. I mostly trained Absolute strength in my 20s.
This helps for a 10 year old trying to lift at least 20 pounds 😁
Easily the best month of the year, also I didn’t get a notification when you uploaded again
BOOMUHFUGGA‼️‼️‼️ And I'm going for the top 3 lol. I'm pretty good at relative and explosive strength but I wanna work on my absolute and endurance more
Boomuhfugga. I’ve been doing strength endurance training and I want to do explosive strength as well. I will be checking out the TLTTz
Just in time for Halloween, thank you so much. BOOMUHFUGGA!
BOOMUHFUGGA, I am personally working on endurance and have been running a lot recently!
Absolute and explosive sounds neat 👌🏻
Michael Myers is definitely built off relative/explosive strength. Dude pretty easily just chops people up with just a machete
Hey jax just so you know you got fans all the way in southern part of Africa 🇧🇼 thanks for being an inspiration 💪
BOOMUHFUGGA Im 5’11 and 200lbs currently getting back into working out but I wanna go for that “sneaky strong” build! 😁
been awhile since i seen one of your videos. I thought to myself it's october let me check out jaxblade channel been awhile. Your training how to beat up horror characters is what got me into your channel
Relative and explosive strength are really the areas I'm looking to improve in for myself
BOOMUHFUGGA! Excellent advice and uplifting aswell
Let's go some Halloween content again this year 🔥
