i liked you alot more before i watch this video, you are a bit ignorant in the food matters. In all honesty try to get your facts together before posting something that people will try :)
Hell yea brother. Clicked for the van winkle and stayed for the content. I'm thankful for stonnie and crew putting out these videos and sharing knowledge. Peace and prosperity to you and your fans brother.
Nice timing on the video. Our Golden turns 7 months and we have to watch her because she will eat about anything. Like your videos. A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Take care, Al
I think you should do a video on actual dog foods, the ones that you recommend and the ones you would ask clients to avoid at all costs. It would be very helpful sir!
Stonnie your videos are to die for! Always entertaining and informative. I have one dog who will jump up on his hind legs to pull down and eat apples off a tree. He loves 'em. But the apple seeds, if too many are eaten at one time, can be dangerous. They have a chemical similar to cyanide. So best to core the apple. Great video. Thanks again.
Question: Corn has a lot of glyphosate ( herbicide in Round Up weed killer). Monsanto continues to loose huge cancer law suits due to Glyphosate! Why aren’t more dog people speaking out and demanding non-GMO dog foods and treats? Even apples that are not organic can contain harmful pesticides and herbicides. With cancer rates increasing in dogs, many dog ppl are seeking answers. (I take my 4 dogs to a holistic vet for these reasons.). Was a sled dog racer/trainer, vet tech, and pet sitter 20 years, and always learning a lot from you! Thanks so much!
You are awesome Stonnie! Great video as always. Please don't forget, grapes are a big no no for dogs as well. Hope, you all have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Wow, I would have never thought potatoes would be a problem for a dog with so many dog foods containing potatoes. Thanks for putting good information and Happy Thanksgiving.
The potatoes in dog food is cooked and processed and mixed with other stuff. I wouldn't say it's the same as raw or whole cooked potatoes. That said, there are dogs that don't do well on dry foods with potatoes in it.
I had a pointer that would eat anything. I had some onions growing in the yard and they got big and tall. So I picked one from the ground and threw it over in the kennel and she ate the whole thing, roots, bulb and tops. When I picked tomatoes and sweet peppers she couldn't wait till I gave her some. I loved that dog. Best bird dog I ever had. btw, I never noticed any ill effects from her eating anything.
I think the ill effects (loose stools) comes from giving dogs those types of things once in a blue moon, such as at Thanksgiving. Dogs who have always known those types of treats are more likely to handle them easily. Just please don't give them potatoes!!!!!
"Dogs are like kids, they don't like their vegetables too much." LOL absolutely true. But, just like kids, if you make it good for them they'll love it. Some low-salt gravy will go a long way. Re: No garlic. What? My dog has been getting sheepfat/garlic treats for years, never had a problem. It's great for their fur, and deters parasites. In combination with carned milk they never need flee-drops.
What I do with all chicken and turkey bones is put them in the slow cooker for a day and afterward the bones just smush in your hands and you can feed them that with leftover meat. Also, the dogs can drink the broth!
Our American ( Canadian ) Red lab favorite delicacy is other dogs frozen poop, commonly referred to as "poopsicles" . His hunger seems insaciable , but his Vet says this is normal. Do you have any thoughts or advice? Thank-you.
Our labradoodle loves most fruits and veggies and without any gastrointestinal problems. I wonder if early exposure as a puppy makes a difference? Happy Thanksgiving!
You should do some research on that first. The amount of arsenic and cyanide in normal farmed apples is insignificant. Almost all beef and poultry have trace levels of arsenic too, but we don't give a second thought to feeding chicken or beef to a dog.

Can you do a video tour of your boarding facilities.

I do the same and my dogs love it.
Nice one. Could you go through some fruit and different meats too? And maybe what bones are appropriate or not? Keep it up. Thanks.
You remind me so much of my uncle, in all the best ways
Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.

Stonnie , what's the best way to reach you to see about training/boarding ?
Where can I buy the training vest you normally wear?
Btw that bottle of Rip Van Winkle is 1000.00 so having a glass is like 50 dollars.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm with ya on the top shelf gear :-D
K Bar?!?!? Marine?
Great video thank you
Stonie, I'm picking up a new puppy (10 week old Cavalier) and must drive 3 hours through mountains. i'm worried about car sickness. Any advice?
Our labradoodle loves most fruits and veggies and without any gastrointestinal problems. I wonder if early exposure as a puppy makes a difference? Happy Thanksgiving!
David Matke Sure, to an extent but certain things are bad for all dogs. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!
How many takes did you have to do to get that Van Winkle segment "just right"? 😂 Happy Thanksgiving!
What do your adult dogs eat daily?
Why is Pumpkin ok and squash isn't? They're in the same family.
My dogs have all loved cooked potatoes and had no problem with them. How weird.
I wont give them to them again.
My lab would have eaten all of those treats without question and with enthusiasm.
Great video. Just remember not to let the dogs have apple seeds, they have arsenic and can poison your dogs.

@@0xFF48 That info was from first hand experience, no research needed for me to know about it but others are welcome to look into it and should.
Don't give them any turkey bone!
For sure!
My lab loves French fries, that's a potato!
Why do u always say 'Blue grass'? Is it an expression?
