I love how brutally honest kids are. He said he didn't want to mess up your property. But he's messing it up right now. I almost died laughing. God bless
Gunner is on point with resources also. This is the only excavator we have available at the moment. That's asset appropriation. Maybe he will run that business one day.
DP I am very proud of you! The problem with our nation nowadays there’s isn’t as many fathers that aren’t teaching their kids the proper things to do in life. You have my vote! Oh I can’t believe these two young kids! I am loving their conversation between the two of them. I am totally laughing my tail off.
I love seeing the little men on the job. Learning work ethic at a young age is a valuable lesson for our youth. You and Chris are both excellent parents!
So nice to see you and Chris teaching your kids about what you do and what it mean to work. I went and did everything with my dad from the time I could walk. God bless you both
Same! Only rule my dad had for us kids to come along was that he wasn’t changing a diaper on a jobsite, been working with him ever since, and I’m well into my thirties, with him working for me now. Gonna have to implement the same rule here in a few more years! 😜
DP that was one of the best videos you’ve ever done including the family and your boys the love that you have for him you’re a blessed man sir take care
A little dirt in my coffee this morning is always a good thing... Father son bonding time on dad's birthday,.. and digging Dirt?? It's days like this father and son will remember this forever. Awesome video... Happy belated birthday Mike... 😎👍
Hey, just had an idea. 💡 When Gunner’s sitting in the cab, with you, you could let him sit his hands on the joysticks with you. Then he’d learn the controls, just by repetition & muscle memory. Eventually you will be able to let him do the moving, then next step, take your hands off completely! 😎 Love the content. Kia Kaha, Grant from NZ
Absolutely loved the voiceover commentary! The boys are loving being outside, playing with giant toys, and being with their dads!!! No one could ask for more
Got to take my hat off to you and farmer Chris taking the time to work with your kids. It's a trait that's almost unheard in today's society. God Bless 💛
I think it’s awesome getting your kids involved. Whether they end up in the business or not, there are tons of important lessons to be learned for them that they will never learn in school. Keep on keeping on and God bless.
Gotta love when you get to take your kids to work with you. Brought a smile to my face watching both of the boys giving the big boys a hand at getting the pipe laid in correctly. Keep up the great work and bring them with y'all as much as you can as I know you love it when they are with you.
I think it’s really cool that you got them young men helping you and not out playing video games and goofing off they’re actually learning something. myself I grew up on a backhoe and was running the backhoe at seven years old now I’m 55
Mike great video! The young crew was awesome, the play by play by the boys was done with real feelings! Showing your son what it takes to do a job is priceless! You’re a very lucky man to be able to teach your son! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Happy birthday! Those boys loved that you almost got stuck. They will never forget that. You can always go get a dozer to pull you out but those two boys will never forget you putting that machine deep in the mud. Another great video!
At Gunner's age kids are like sponges, they learn more than you think and remember it for life. On the job training at that age is the best thing you can do for any kid. When I was his age I was in the grader with my Dad, never forgot it. Keep up the good work and Keep smilin.
Very true comment! I learned a lot about hard work, also learned a side of my dad I didn’t like. I hated going to work with him because of his ethics and personality at work and home vs church, very two faced! But I don’t regret it now as I learned basic plumbing and electrical as well as framing and general carpentry! Also learned basis auto mechanics which steered my career path early on! It’s crazy looking back though on the moment where I knew right from wrong and realized that very different side of my dad!
Happy Belated Birthday Mike, Gunner is a Treat to have on your Vidja’s. I Remember Holding my Young Son between my Legs while trying to Operate an Excavator. He’s 32 Now and a Successful Foreman @ a Utility Company. Time never Stands still, before you know it their Grown and all you’ve got are the Memories. Catch you on the next one, Keep It Safe Out There Gentlemen.
The commentary from the kids was great. Most I've laughed all day. No doubt, he'll learn. Seeing the kids working brings back memories. My Dad showing me how to work.
Man to be one of those two little men. Wait what am I saying I was one and still love it 40 years later. Awesome when the kids can come help and learn and have fun doing it.
Happy birthday Mike. I was a little bit worried that you might be stuck there for a minute but you were able to pull yourself out. I like that you and Chris had your sons out there teaching what life is all about. Maybe in a few years you and your son will be out there tag teaming these jobs.
Dude! This was a pleasant surprise to watch! Gunner and his sidekick are the best camera crew and commentary yet! 🤣 Them boys sure don’t miss a thing, and holding DP accountable was a barrel of laughs!! Y’all keep spending time with them boys and they’ll grow up to be a “MEN”! Not overgrown “Boys”!
Well Happy (now belated) Birthday young man. Have to love the next generation on the job with their Dads. “Hey Chris he said he didn’t want to mess up your property but he’s messing it up right now” “Gunner” aka Little Dirt Perfect
Gunner did a Great job taking video! Love the boys commentary! Looks like a pretty good birthday to me.... playing with big Tonka toys and spending time with the kiddos

I'm a (long) retired teacher of kids of all ages to 13. These two young lad epitomise the value of education with parents who take it seriously. A day with dad is worth at least a school term in learning real life experiences! Brilliant!
It is absolutely great to see your son 'WORKING' with you. Being in the developmental years, you are teaching more than how to operate machinery, but also life experience. MORE! MORE! MORE!
Happy Birthday, although I know this was awhile ago. But better late than never. 41, you are still a pup. I have 25 years on you. Enjoy and thanks for sharing.
Gunner is a smart little man, knowing what equipment is available, what your trying to do and his storying telling skills are great. That was enjoyable, funny and just fun.
Happy birthday. Always good times when you bring the foreman along 😆😆. Amazing how much he's grown. Quite knowledgeable great job explaining what Dad was doing Gunner. Even better job heckling the operator. That's rule #2 learning how to heckle a operator while doing your job too. As always good luck and God Bless.
That was the most heartwarming video I've seen in a while!!! Between Gunner watching your every move and taking it all in and him and his friends conversation....My heart was overflowing!! Your a good Dad Mike!! Happy Birthday!!
This video was heart warming. Brought back good memories. I was 12 when my grandpa put me on a HD5 Allis-Chalmers. I spent all day just going back and forth keeping his dump area cleared while he dug with the old Detroit powered Drott 40 excavator. I’ll never forget that day. He was one of the old timers that spent many years running machines like Diesel Creeks Lorain.
DP what an awesome video bud. I was laughing my tail off with the conversation between the two boys. Talk about being honest and they was definitely that. Reminds me of my myself, my middle brother and two of my best friends when we were all that age. Because we grew up on the jobs like that too. Mack
