The thing I find amazing is just how much the process has changed since the earlier big dam builds I watched on your channel. Pushing dirt with multiple dozers, mixing and building the lifts for the core etc. and now... a well oiled machine moving dirt with bubba dump!
I think the process varies depending on the lay of the land, clay/dirt distribution and overall size of the pond. You can only push so far with a dozer before it makes sense to truck it instead.
@@DirtPerfect Mike , we do really enjoy what you do and what you present , and the way that you introduce it on videos . I remember as an Electrician, when we was working on a project, and the project is about to finish, we was making a big gathering with all the teams ( construction, plumbers , carpenters .... ) And we was making barbecue , and it was a pleasure time to celebrate the finalizing the works .🤗
You definitely have a very good crew. Gerry on the dozer and Matt coming along good on excavators and good on the haul truck. Capt.Kleeman good all around worker and machine operator. A team like this makes a big difference to the bottom line too !!
Really taking shape now! Bubba Dump continues to prove he was a most wise purchase (gremlins and all). His ROI must be stellar at this point! 💪🏻 Thanks for sharing DP!
Kind of bittersweet to see the 140 on its last project for DP, hopefully it does well for the new owner. Your dam/pond project is progressing nice considering the start you had with all the rain. Thanks for the ride along sir.
A little dirt in my coffee this morning is always a good thing... The lake is really taking shape... Awesome video... Good job guys... 😎👍 Big thumbs up!!!
Newer machines for the future on the way, sad to see the 140 go and the skid steer, don't think it will be missed. Pretty spot on the river and trees be gone. Matt is becoming quite the haul truck and excavator operator whilst the 'work horse' never stops one the work horse 850j. Great video.
Even though you sold that Volvo 140, I'm hoping you go with the Volvo 220 like Chris. I'm not an operator; I just really want to be. It's my dream to own and operate that particular machine
Could you even imagined where you would be before starting with youtube. How your business and equipment have changed that you established yourself here? The opportunities and friends that come with being a youtuber. That can do attitude and the people you have to support you and the channel is something that keeps me wanting more. It's a big undertaking to open yourself to all of us to enjoy and criticize the way you run your business and life. You won't make everyone happy it what you do but for watchers like me I have enjoyed it very much so. Your hard work and ethics really are a bright spot in all that is going on. Yes true people do exist and I thank you for that.
Mike you do a really good job of touring the job sites to explain things, show all the progress and steps to keep the project moving forward. I appreciate the extra effort it takes to put quality videos together. Excellent work all the way around! Nice work by the entire team.
Well, it's definitely a pleasure when old Jerry joins the crew and Matt gets ahold of the camera. The pond sure is shaping up real nice Mike. By by to the 140. I've no doubt you'll end up with the Beast in your inventory now that you've seen what it can do.
Humidity is a big reason I live where I do. The Dew point is 39 today. It rarely gets above 50. Night time the temps are usually in the high 50's in the hottest months. We don't have AC. We draw in the cool night air with a whole house fan and close up in the morning to conserve the cool. We only get a few days in the 90's every year.
It's getting there Mike! You guy's have been lucky to have that much good dirt to do a fine job on the Dam and the compaction is just fantastic. I can't wait for your breakdown on the decision on the 210 this has made me crazy wondering what you chose. Keep up the good work Guy's!
That dam is building nice. Everything driving criss cross and still everybody doing its thing. Really like it. The Volvo was a good decision, you now know you what you can achieve with a bigger machine on this project, the Deere is still fine for smaller jobs. The Kubota was a nightmare, hope the Takeuchi will bring more joy on the jobs to come.
To fix the horn, first make sure the horn works. Find the noise box and supply power to the contacts to see if that's the problem, then figure out the fuse and check it and might try adding power to the fuse contacts to see if the horn blows after that figure out how to take the butto off to expose it and check the contacts there.
Yea it looks like the haul truck is flattening it out pretty good there mike.. the dirt on top of that fsm is hard . That haul truck isnt even sinking at all when he drives over it
In order to rip while backing, looks like you could sink the shanks maybe 2/3s deep, then remove the pins holding the shanks in the ripper and raise the frame up and off the shanks. Next move the dozer around to the back side of the shanks, and lower the frame over the tops of the now reversed shanks. Put the pins back in. All this from my arm chair, from which most things are just as easy.
Hi Mike. It's been great watching you as you transition away from the house building towards excavation. Then watching you grow your excavation business. Training your men, and acquiring equipment. It's a close call, for me, but I think buying bubba dump, along with you being able to diagnose and service bubba dump yourself, puts the biggest smile on me. Seeing how much more efficient the jobs go with dirt moving because of it. Myself along with many others get a real sense of joy watching you and the team succeed in all you do. I think that's because you try your best to exceed people expectations and not cut corners. Hope you are having a great day! Ed from Chicago!
The amount of effort that goes into earth moving is really under appreciated. It is awesome getting to see what happens happens in your world. The personality of your team is awesome. May you go from strength to strength.
Thanks Mike, The synergy demonstrated by your crew is awesome! Hey if everyone has a handle (old CB radio term), maybe you could call Jerry "Mr. Awesome".
Great work guys, one heck of a team. The equipment is working exceptionally well together. Hard to tell, but it seems watching the Hyundai 210 and Chris's Volvo 220, I think the Volvo might be a little faster. Hard to tell on video though. Project is coming along very well. Thanks for sharing.
You don’t realize how much dirt it takes to make the pond until you got that long shot at the end of the video and how much work it takes to make it right great job guys!
Nice job, and nice job on keeping "super secret" stuff, even with Kleeman's earlier video, didn't catch on about the Volvo. (Not at all surprised on the Kubota.)
I remember the last big pond job.. where you were using the 8500 to move dirt... Now with Bubba, if I want to see work with the 8500 I have to watch Kleemans channel. Something tells me, You kinda like that truck. If you do keep the 210, I think you need to invest in at least 1 (maybe 2 ) new buckets for her. 1. A grading bucket like you have for the 120/140. (and I know you love that bucket.. chris complains on every company job when he can't use it and would like to).. 2 A bigger digging bucket. The one you have looks just smaller than what I see Chris use on his 220. (though I could be wrong.. video does lie.. the bucket on the company 250 don't look much bigger but it is).. Still, looks like you guys are making pretty good progress.
Looking good guys. Mike, I was told by a manager once while I was learning his job, a good manager isn't missed when he is gone. I'd say you are a good manager.
DP, you are blessed to have such good craftsmen around you. They have a sense of humour, they work well together. They work hard. Ask your, why are lakes built near you? I also see Letsdig18 building a lot of lakes greetings from the Netherlands
you really stepped it up a notch with the dumper truck and the J , need a second bubba dump make it really fast and you can use them on separate jobs or the lieutenant dan will be able to do same job as bubba dump
always good when you have a crew that can handle job w/o constant supervision. Jerry is knocking it out with the 850J.Im sure DP shed a bittersweet tear when the Kubota went away 😅 DP's fleet is going start to rival Chris's soon
Life is really easy when you have a good crew, not only are yours hard working and know what they're doing, they have a good crack as well. Sorry your not keeping that Hyundai, hopefully they've done a deal on an upgraded version. I didn't see Matt come back with a shovel, so it must have been a long walk for a number 1. 🤣😂🤣😂
Shout out to Captain K, haven't seen him since he finished the low boy off. 😎🤪😅😂🤣 Oh yeah i thought Mr Millennial was hard on equipment but but Captain K got him covered 😎🤪😅😂🤣!!!!!
been matching you since video one,,realy like ya gettin the big boy toys, lets ya get the bigger jobs without the struggles of pushin the equipment limits, the exposure on the tube seems to help with a few peks, enjoy your content as well as the extra channels youve exposed, nothing like the smell of fresh turned soil, keep pluggin at er
Mike I think Bubba dump needs some greedy boards fitted, (not sure what they are called in the US! a set of wood boards on top of the dump body) I sure it can handle an extra few hundred pounds. Great video
And the next Workday with Earth to loa round. You on the Excavator, Matt on the Bubba Dump, and Jerry on the Dozer. It is to see the Lake building go farther. The Dam to grow in the height A good Day go to End. 💪👍
Awesome work really got a well running setup on this job! All working together and a lot of dirt moved in short time ! Looking great ! And good news on the 140 and Kubota ! Money in bank and onwards and upwards ! :)

I think that goes without saying, but the 'dance' is different and I think more efficient.
Nothing better to enjoy my coffee with than a new DP video!
Agree 💯
Absolutely 💯✌️
Thanks guys

Well, MBTS being so short is is easy to Over look him 🤣 but yep can’t forget the steel man👍🏻

It's about time you have a nice warm day, no rain no dark overcast clouds. Enjoy it while it lasts lol😅
Kind of bittersweet to see the 140 on its last project for DP, hopefully it does well for the new owner. Your dam/pond project is progressing nice considering the start you had with all the rain. Thanks for the ride along sir.
No Captain's doctor said the opposite. Looks fine on the outside. Total wreck inside. Lol God bless
I'm looking forward to seeing the latest Pond build completion.
A little dirt in my coffee this morning is always a good thing...
The lake is really taking shape...
Awesome video... Good job guys...
😎👍 Big thumbs up!!!
Thanks 👍
DP got what he wanted a Takeuchi with a Yanmar engine. Congratulations Mike. God bless

Another great video! I gotta think, you wouldn't be this far ahead without Bubba and the 850J! Like'm both! Thanks Mike, Matt & Jerry! Lee
@ 35:59 That what she says, lol. your comedic talent just floors me sometimes, you have lots of material.
Plenty of camera angles to keep us satisfied. Between you, Chris and Kleeman, I'm more than satisfied.👍
Thanks
For the Army heavy Equipment Operators you always put the Bucket or Blade on the ground before you leave the seat.
I just commented on captain vid that the volvo is gone and the 120 lives on to work another day. good day on both sites. nice job fellas. cheers.
Ya DP/MBTS........watched agin and still got some chuckles~!
Matt can certainly back that truck nothing like good work mates and reliable ones cheers Jill

Teamwork that's the best way to do it and you have a great one even when Aaron isn't there
The back and forth between you and Captain is great, can't wait to hear him on a few points from perfect podcast
Thanks

Simple way of fixing the horn Matt , go get one of them $2.99 horn at your local car shopping place and mount it on the dash 😎
Going to miss the 140 being on the channel but love seeing the Hyundai and bubba dump working and love the 850j

That ground is really nice, no rocks to speak of. Nice job guys.
The sidel-oad on Bubba's rear tires, in turns, is mind-blowing!
Shaping up quite nicely!
Definitely sad to see the old Volvo EC140 go, but at least it's been a good asset to you and your team, Mike!
It's good to have a good crew on the lake job. Translation Jerry took charge and got a lot done. Lol God bless

Mike Matt Jerry and Captain great video! It’s coming together really fast! Looks great thanks for sharing! Kevin
NEVER argue with Jerry. He makes a good job excellent in the end of the project. Operators of Jerry's caliber are not a common operator.

God bless the work guys! 🙂👍🇮🇪
Thank goodness you picked up Bubba when you did, looks to me he's been invaluable!
Starting to take shape Jerry love that dozer. Matt took little extra break time. I only had 15 minute breaks thank for the video
The 349 cat excavator I ran burned about 120 to 150 gallons in 10 hours depending on hard I pushed her.
