Yeah I bet, gearbox oil is up on my list Also, makes a massive difference for such a simple serviceable item. & yeah the shifter while not for everyone makes me very happy 😂😂
Does indeed look like a better set up for track work and sprints. Hand is only off the steering wheel for a fraction of a second, which is a VERY good thing. Parrot Bros rule! :-)

I've got a bad noise coming from my TT's engine... I've uploaded a couple of clips of it-if anyone fancies checking these out and giving me any hints I'd really appreciate it.
Had a quick listen. That could be one of a few things. Sounds like a tensioner that’s loose or a chain tensioner issue, but without being at the car it’s hard to say for sure. I certainly wouldn’t drive it till you’ve had it checked out
Strangely one of the things that really grabbed my attention in the TT was the OEM Gearstick, yes its like holding a snowball without gloves in winter, I just couldn't part with it now. Have to say looks good in your car though Dom. UK

I like my little short shift on the box the way it is, yes i like the idea of the thing you've fitted BUT, how much is there to fitting it and how much of the centre console am i going to lose versus the gains over what's already fitted that cost a fraction of the cost ? UK
If your happy with what you have then there is no reason to swap out for this, this is more suited if your looking to gain height on the shifter and wanted a more mechanical feel. If you already have a short shift it’s 5-600£ you don’t need to spend, fitting takes a good few hours and also you need to trim a small part of the centre console
Hey man. Been surfing for a short shifter for my fwd 180hp 5 speed. I have found a forge VW mk4 short shifter kit. Do you think that Will that fit? When I search for Audi TT short shifter kit, can’t find anything. Do you think the boot has different size pins/hole sizes?

I don't want to compromise the brilliant original design so I'll opt for the short throw upgrade on the original linkage.

The centre console can stay you just need to trim a small portion of it out, it actually looks pretty good considering

Have you sorted out a gaiter for it
No buddy not as yet, I’ve trimmed the console just enough to fit it snug and doesn’t really have a lot to cover as most of it is the working mechanism
Took plastic covers off engine and found bam in engine mount what does it mean
Bam refers to what engine style it is, so it has forged pistons

The main tower is always black, knob wise I think 7-8
Can we do a look like that for the automatic DSG?
I dont know what there is for the dsg options, you maybe be able to swap the knob out for a later model one so it looks nicer

Long haha, have a look on top of the gearbox and it should be easy to see if it’s stock or has an adjustable bracket

A little yes as the throw isn’t as far so you have to do less. But would it make you faster probably not but it improve the driving experience

Yes mate, they should fit just fine, usually they are the same gearbox as the mk4 golfs etc 😀
