    Meat Recipe:
Wrap various meats (I used Italian sausage pieces, 'Lil Smokies, and chicken--- my favorite) with a third of a strip of bacon and secure with toothpicks.
Place on a single layer on a foiled lined and greased jelly roll pan.
    Sprinkle meat liberally with:
    1 c. brown sugar
    3 tsp. ground mustard
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. cayenne (optional)
Bake in the oven at 375° for 30-45 minutes (watch carefully. You want the bacon slightly crispy and the chicken completely cooked, but no burnt bottoms!

All spouses fuss, don't sweat it! And if your kids do see a fuss, just make sure they see the apologies, the hugs and that you can forgive and still love each other. That's real life my friend and part of any relationship. When we show each other forgiveness we teach our children a very valuable lesson. I try to keep our kids out of big disagreements we have, but they are far more observant they we often realize, so I make certain to let them know how much Daddy and I love each other.
Keep up the good work; it's ok to have a private life! I just like to "hang out" with you while I cook and clean and do all the monotonous mom tasks, thanks for being there!

Aww thanks! It's going to be a struggle to model healthy conflict as pur kids get older and understand more, but it's super important to see that are always united in the end and love each other.

Megan, I think you are a lovely wife and mom. I so enjoy watching your life. I have. been married 49 years and counting...we bicker and our “kids” now 40 and 43 have witnessed it many times over. But we are best friends still and I can’t imagine life without him. Never had a life of my own, really. Lived with my parents and married at 19.

I came to say the same thing. Kids need to see that it’s okay to have disagreements, and that it doesn’t mean that you don’t still love each other. It is also helpful for them to see how to work through a disagreement so they know how to work through their own issues when they are older. I have 5 kids, ages 4,6,12,14,15 and they have all seen fights or arguments, but they have also have seen us apologizing and asking for forgiveness and praying about it together.

I really applaud you for being honest and REAL! I know other youtubers who I almost can't watch because I know they are not always what they appear to be on youtube. That being said, yes, you do deserve privacy and you don't have to put everything that's going on out there for people to see. Thanks for your vulnerability!

sophie, patience is one of THE hardest virtues to overcome and or accept. Always remember to love yourself, stay true to yourself, and keep your heart and eyes open as you never know when “the one” will show. Think outside the box a little too... if you see fit, remember you don’t HAVE to have a significant other to have children and become a mother. Go after your dreams! Many blessings ❤️

Thank you for your realness in everything you do. Thank you for your transparency in letting us know that you too have your ups and downs as a woman, a mother, a Christian and a wife. Some people who are on UA-cam can get swept away with their ego and only want to portray a perfect life in front of the camera but it's important to let others know that life isn't always just what you see but at the same time knowing what things you should keep private. You truly are a sweet person who's someone I can connect with in many ways. Many blessings to you and your sweet family during this wonderful time of year where we celebrate our savior's birth. Merry Christmas!

I have noticed that people let out their stress on the person who they love the most, and who they believe loves them the most. There is a need to let it out because it is better than keeping it in. How can we 'grow' otherwise?

Megan you are perfectly normal. We all fight with our partner. If you did not, I would actually be more concerned. Nobody is perfect. Just make sure to always make up again. And yes, having a big fight in front of the kids is something you want to avoid because they get much more of it than you think they do - regardless of their age. My wife and I always take the fighting into the garage..:-)

I admire you for keeping it real. When I was a young mom, there was a time when I had a perfectly spotless house and especially so when we were having guests. I loved the compliments, and my pride swelled when people would comment on how adorably dressed and matching our kids all were, or how we arrived at church on time, and how easily our kids all went to bed at night. However, I was convicted one day when guests remarked that we had a lot of children, but that nothing was out of place and that they didn’t see any toys!!. My husband said “we have toys, but she doesn’t let them play with them”.
I realized that there was some truth to that and I felt sad, because I had the toys so organized and out of sight, and would only give the kids a few to play with at a time. People also didn’t see me yelling at the kids or snapping at my husband in order to keep up the appearance that I had great skill.. The Lord worked on my heart and we made a playroom where the kids could be kids and play with all of the toys, and I found a balance of being a keeper at home without being pretentious and pretending I had it all together. I learned that messes are ok, when attitudes ( mine) were good, and fun memories were being made❤️! God was more glorified when I humbled myself, and realized that apart from Him I could do no good thing, and I became a more fun mom who relaxed and enjoyed my family!. Our children are grown, but our younger kids (we had 9) have much more positive memories of me than my older kids do, that’s for sure! You’re doing a great job, Megan! It’s not always easy but it’s such an honor, and with the Lord it can be managed well! Again, thank you for your transparency !

And keep on being yourself. You got this girl. What I do on Sunday? I go to church and serve coffee so that others can go in and enjoy and receive the word of the lord. Then I will go shopping and relax or go home and watch some football with my husband..I love the shots you take of the country side. My tip for the clothes shopping. This is what i did for my granddaughter. At the end of the seasons when Walmart marks things down to a dollar or so, I would go and buy a bunch of stuff the next size up from what she was currently wearing. Saved me tons of money and she would have new clothes for barely any money. Just found you today, am loving your vlogs.

Seeing you get everything ready really made miss my felllowship. As far as hosting, there was never a better time to blow than just before company arrives. I remember once one of friend’s kid said for all to hear that her mom and dad fight every Sunday afternoon! At first the mom was embarrassed but then it totally opened a door for all of us talk about it. And we all had certain times when we get frazzled. When we knew one sister was having a hard time, one of us would make plans for that family to come over for lunch that Sunday.

I love the shmear! (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff). I like all things peanut butter anyway, but when I tried this for the first time it was a wow moment. And the cheese shmear, the German variant is the same as the Dutch that you said. My Sunday is also going to church in the morning and then changing into comfy clothes as soon as I walk in the door after service. I like to get really dressed up on Sunday and that isn't appropriate wear for just hanging out at home (suits and fancy sweaters). Parents argue. Many times you can wait until a time when the kids aren't listening or asleep, but they also need to learn (slowly and quietly) that mom and dad can disagree too. My parents did that with us. It wasn't a screaming match, but a conversation where they disagreed and spoke their minds. Thank you for sharing a down bit too. I can imagine it was difficult for you. rachelaoriginal

Don't worry when you and your husband have some rougher days. That means you have a real relationship
Also it is important to fight in front of children but also make up in front of them .

Please remember to give yourself and Josh plenty of grace. Busy, erratic days like Sunday can throw extra monkey wrenches into life, which makes communication more important but also much more difficult. This will often trigger disagreements and bad moods. It doesn’t mean either of you is bad or wrong, only that you’re human 💖 I hope you guys found a good resolution, but most importantly that you both remember the love you have for each other.
Hubby and I go through this often 😅

Love this. Much like our sundays as well ♥️ and actually thanks for the little confession. Makes me feel so much better as I’ve really been struggling with the part of marriage that “things will never be quite like when we first fell in love” but life happens.

I love that you want your channel to be a positive place and I think we all realize you have private parts of your life that you don't share. I am thankful for the things you do share. I love your smiling face and your fast talking! You are such a sweet, thoughtful and kind person and I appreciate you sharing your days with us.
My Sundays start with breakfast with the husband - it's our weekly date. 😊 Then it's on to the life stuff - grocery shopping, finishing the laundry (like that's a real thing - it's not but I like to think it is), cleaning up the house and getting ready for a new work week.

Hiya I watched this vlog to the end but I noticed in the beginning there was a bit of an atmosphere in the car? When you got out for your walk you mentioned Josh wanted to go to golf I felt the resentment in your thoughts, sometimes men seem selfish by just doing what they want but they get low and need to take time to them selves. I believe men also go through hormone changes as well as us ladies. Stay strong sweetie, you've got this all under control. Big hugs xx

Amish peanut butter schmeir is that BEST! It had peanut butter, karo, sugar, and egg whites. It has the consistency of chocolate frosting but tastes like peanut butter. You can buy it at Kitchen Kettle and stock up! You can also make it from scratch. Sometimes marshmello is added.

I've been married for 32+years and disagreements will happen, at times it's unavoidable because your are both sinful human beings with different ideas at times. At times it's good for children to see you work your disagreements out and apologize or compromise or whatever you do to make things right again, which keeps a marriage and your relationship healthy. Anyone who tells you that they don't have disputes with their spouse is lying to you or they are a very rare couple. By seeing you both work through your disagreements they learn how to deal with disagreements and how to work things out hopefully relatively calmly, respectfully and lovingly. I enjoy your channel and watch it often. I really love the fact that you are real about issues...it's very refreshing. Merry Christmas, Megan.

I was impressed that with all the work of hosting you also vlogged. You did a great job and it was so fun to see your party...If you have a friend with children just older than yours and you like their style, mention that you would be interested in their hand me downs. You may be helping her out as well, I know I enjoy seeing my children’s clothes worn again instead of just in storage. Also, a friend passes on to my daughter and it has been such a blessing and a time and money saver.

Thank you for your honesty. All marriages have arguments at some point. My husband and I had them too but we loved each other and where happily married for 34 years before he passed away.
My kids are grown now but they certainly didn't take away from me having fun, in fact they enhanced the fun that I had and now the grandsons add more to it.
It looks like your family and friends have some great times together. Have a wonderful Christmas.

I do admire your thoughtfulness, honesty, integrity as well as the multitude of positive character traits you possess. Honesty is of tantamount import to me and when my husband and I have an issue, we both strive to work through it immediately and we both are able to forgive and forget. Holding onto ire after a disagreement, is poison to our soul. I think that withholding forgiveness diminishes me and if I cannot forgive, how can I expect anyone to forgive me? I really enjoy your videos, Megan. Never lose sight of your bliss...

We don't need to know details, but is refreshing to know that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and that real life happens. It's also encouraging to hear how you deal with the bumps. I admire the part of you that you put out for the world to see; obviously, I don't see all the personal things you keep off camera (that's healthy! :) ) Just know that you ARE an inspiration, even to people who are older than you, and have slightly different views of the world. Merry Christmas!

I think that it is great that you felt like you needed to make your confession. I think in this day and age of social media, some people can get a warped sense of reality. We only see a small portion of people’s lives. We don’t see the arguments, dirty bathrooms, and every day living. It is important to remember we are all human and have failings. Thanks for keeping it real. BTW - I love your handwriting on the craft tables.
