Thank you for showing how to undo it and put it back. I am 17 years old and my mother just passed away about a couple of days ago, she was in the middle of doing this exact same thing, but never got around to putting the thing back in- thanks to this video, i was able to finish her work and now we have a dryer again

Awe... so glad you were able to pick up where she left off. So sorry you are part of our club so early. ❤

I just want to thank you for uploading this video. Thanks to you, as not only a woman but someone with autism, I was able to do this same thing and remove a chapstick that had fallen down in the trap. Thank you for helping me save my husband trouble. ❤️

The two metal strips that you thought were heat sinks are actually moisture sensors.

Thank you for this! Metal had fallen into ours and we couldn’t get it out with a magnet car scope, so I was trying to figure out how I’m going to get it out before it causes us trouble! Thank you!

Super helpful! I also took that plastic holder and the lint screen and soaked it in hot soapy water and scrubbed the holes with an old toothbrush. Good as new! Thanks for sharing

Well it was exactly what I was looking for but you totally skipped how you actually removed it. You went from removing screws to the inside part laying inside

Metal piece is water sensor to know how much more drying it needs.

I love the realness of this video. Reminds me of the videos we used to make as kids before cell phones. Old school! 😝

The deep cleaning really does keep the dryer working well for much longer.

I have a similar setup in my dryer. Anyone else have issues with the dryer being a little dusty throughout the house? Not sure if it's an issue with the dryer or whether I need to see if there's a leak in the exhaust ducting.

You didn't explain anything yeah I watched you but I was interested on the moisture sensor plug ins which way do they go an how can you tell

  • @amandajorgensen5303
    @amandajorgensen5303 3 роки тому +2

There are two plug ins on the right side. I can’t figure out how to plug back in. How did you do that part?

I agree!! Putting it back flush is hard. I am going to get help to properly get my assembly back together.

It should be pretty simple. The connectors just pop back onto the metal. Those are what make your moisture sensors work.

So we're supposed to do this once a year? Hadn't done it once in 10 years, lol.

I have problems with my dryer, is the same model, but when is blinking the signal, also sound alarm in the same time and there aren't any obstruction inside

It was a good video and if a person has basic ability it makes sense. The only complaint is you omitted discussing the two connectors that attach to the metal moisture sensor.

How did you get the front piece (that sits flush up agains the dryer) and then the top inside (grate looking one that has the two screws at then bottom) back on? I can not for the life of me get the screws back up to the holes.

    • @jennm4437

Never mind. I figured it out. There is an extra hold that’s just hanging out for no reason. 😂

The little thin flap that pops back up when you pull the screen does not want to pop back up anymore. I wonder if there was a spring or something that I didn't see/hear fall out and got vacuumed up. For now it is just laying down and when I pull the screen it continues to just lay there hanging down the front edge of the vent. Oh well.
