Brother u out did yourself with this one i love the fish hook project it one of my favorites but u killed it with this one thanks for sharing it with u
Great looking knife 👍 But I didn't see if you made a vent hole in the canister before heating it. Especially when sealing the can under pressure the way you did. I would hate to see it pop on you in the press. Safety first.
I agree. Once you grind it off there is no putting it back on. Its under an 1/8 thick im pretty sure. Hopefully its enough. As long as i dont do too heavy chopping with it.
I like the way you split and forged the tang
Thanks
Definitely my 2nd favorite Damascus...but I still love rain drop the best. Well done and THANK YOU for sharing with a new Smith like myself.
Thanks for watching
You learned me something new…I never thought to forge the handle after cutting it like that! Looks good brotha! 🔪❤️
Yea it works nicely when everything is welded well. I wouldnt recommend it on copper layered knives though.

Thank you for taking time and watching
Would be nice to see a thicker handle. Excellent work!
Thats the coolest fish hook pattern I've ever seen. Nice smithing work on the tang, I was wondering what you were doing.
Ive seen it done on videos online where they cut it like that and forge out the tang. Thought id give it a try.
That is a cool pattern you got from the fish hooks .. You do amazing work each time and thanks for sharing them..
Thanks for taking time and watching. I appreciate it.

great stuff!! I just made my VERY first Canister damascus, and it is a fish hook as well. It actually worked out. Keep up the great work
Thanks. The fish hook look always comes out looking nice.
My first canister was w fishhooks, loved the process!

I dont tend to do the vent hole. I just leave a small area of the lid unwelded and that tends to let the gases out.
Looks great! Sweet patern! Just a question, do ya think ya may have left the tang a bit skinny? I cant tell on video how wide it is. Just wondering

@@JPsBladeworks you could always weld more on. The tang doesnt need to be hard
Looks cool man...
Are you aware that you have your hand up in the air while you're talking to the camera? Taledaga Nights 😂

Where can you buy a press like yours
I made my press. There are companies out there that make great presses. Check out coal iron forge they have some nice ones.
Кайф❤
Doesn't it piss you off when the anvil moves so easy? I can't stand that with mine
Nice work though
