I appreciate that, truly. I’m a TN fan of 40+ years. We also have a daughter who is an NC St grad so we have so much love for the Pack. We’re heading to Charlotte first thing in the morning and are looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and making new ones. GB🍊
Thank you for your complement on volnation.here is a pregame vols roster and who to watch. Yes we are very passionate about our vols. Even our players call us family. We are very close to our players and sometimes can be very protective of them. We can be a nice fan base and someone us can be a holes. So just ignore those. I hope for a gr3at game but wolfpack and I am taking my orange glasses off and just saying what I saw in fall camp because I went to 4 of them this team is just flat out deadly with a qb that looks to be better then Layton manning. What teams don't realize from First game is we are none as the fastest offence In the country the last 3 years. We sang the ball on average 15 sec after whistle. We where running with Joe milton 2.66 plays per min. With hooker on 2022 where running 2.9 plays per min. Last saturday we where snaping the ball 10 sec after whistlel or 30 sec left on shot clock every play for a average of 3.25 plays per min. Its insane how fast this offence is. The. You have wha i saw las weekend a freshamn qb that accurace looks like anero surgeon . To be honest it just doesnt look to be far to the other team This offence speed ends up kill a defence in the first 5 min of game . Hands on hip gasping for o2. Now here is where 2024 team is diffrent then 2022. The defence. The front 7 with some experts said g its the best and deepest front 7 in the country. Headed by the best player in country on both sides fo the ball and 1st pick in drift James pierce DE. The issue is you double team and free up on of the other 5star DE on other side of line . There are 3 5 stars rotating over thier and one was the top DE in this years class James ross of Alabama. The ONLY question is our secondary very talented but new and unproven. But will a qb have a chance to throw it with that d line. I want mention rb room much just that they are 4 deep with 2 5 stars and 2 4 stars. With the leader being Dylan Sampson a high 4star that is rated as one of the top 3 rb in the sec. So in a jut shell the vols are freaking loaded and look to be back like they where int eh Fulmer 1990's and early 2000's. Hope for a great game. My prediction don't know. Vols could win by 2 tds or just blow the pack out. I am not judging pack by last weeks game. But if they play the way they did last weekend. . Vols will be up by 30 plus before half. Your number 10 we have to shut down. He is awesome. He would fit in great with our 6 deep wide outs. The problem is we have like 3 or maybe 4 of your number 10's. Here are their names so you will know who they are. 5star Bru mcoy ,4star donte thorton, 4star squirl white (fastest guy on team 4.29 40y) 5star Chris brazzell( new tulan transfer ) 5star freshamn mike mathews ( he is playing already) 4star chase nimrod ,4star chance webb, Tight Ends 5star Ethan Davis , 4star holden stays(notre dame trans) special teams number one punter in country Ross, 30 percent kicking to coffee coner when at own 40y or closer. Players to watch freshman Gatorade player of the year for tn. Bo Carter ( Deon sanders 2.0) he plays both ways as nickel and wr amd punt return. This kid is dynamic and going to be special. Oh if you don't know our qb his name is nico.

The linebackers are close to the defensive line but the defensive backfield isn't there yet. The talents there but hasn't had a chance to prove it.

I do agree our Defense to include J Pierce as of yet has not proved they live up to the beast hype yet. I believe Tennessee wins but I also believe the Pack puts up a noble effort. I totally agree that the NC State O-line vs my Vols D-line is the matchup to watch. They protect McCall and this will be a game down to the wire, if not, I can’t imagine a way to keep it close. Should be a fantastic first real test for both teams! I obviously hope we win the game, but after that I’ll be pulling for yall to win the ACC.

Tennessee fan (quite a few Wolfpack fan friends spent some time in NC myself and respect ACC country especially when Duke is defeated lol)---you guys did a great job breaking down the offense and your analysis is spot on Kenton. I do love the nuts and bolts of football and you guys nailed that portion with our offense/defense. This will be an interesting game and certainly one I had circled on my calendar as the first real challenge Tennessee will face especially Grayson McCall and Kevin Concepcion. The Tennessee defense will need to step up to the plate.

The offense was totally different last year with Joe Milton and it was so frustrating watching the baby kindergarten sideline to sideline non-explosive plays all behind the line of scrimmage passes all game
I remember seeing that amongst Tennessee fans last season. And I agree. As crazy as Joe Milton's arm strength is, he doesn't have the arm TALENT that Nico does. There's a difference. The Tennessee Offense will truly be unlocked with Nico

Tennessee fan here, and I really enjoyed your breakdown of this game. When I broke this game down, I said we must contain kevin concepcion and we must come to play or we can lose. Grayson McCall is also an issue, very experienced, and makes good decisions.

Great analysis. I hope the Charlotte Observer has favorable things to say on Sunday morning considering a lot of guys are from the Metro area. This is my opinion. The ground game has got to work. Vol fan here and i think we win this game in the trenches, our d-line has depth and really no drop off, if you can take advantage of our young (but talented) dbs, you will be able to score, but i just dont think it will happen enough. Yall are really cool and ive enjoyed listening to your analysis, yall did your homework well. Vols have been solid against the run the last 2 years, 100 yards against them is pretty tough unless you break a long one.
And NC State is going to need some semblance of a run game to stay balanced. Can't afford to get one-dimensional. Tall task
