Thank you. We’ve been slowly making videos showcasing every part of the Canadian Rockies. And by next year we should have all the campgrounds done as well.
The oTenTik come with a propane heater if I recall correctly. The equipped sites from the two jack main I think are just basic equipment. You likely don’t need a heater in the summer in a wide valley like Banff.
This has been amazing video for trip planning. Thank you so much for making it! How far is the walk from your car to the walk in sites? And if you camp in the upper loop- can you see the lake at all?
You may have to walk 10m to 30m depending on which site you pick. It’s not very far & you usually have to do multiple trips. Either way you will have to walk further just to get firewood at your site. You can see the lake from the upper loop that you can drive thru but it’s 80% hidden from trees. There’s alot of walking trails around to get good views.
hey eric, I'm planning camping for this summer, my favorite place is two jack lake side, but there are no more spaces available 🥲what other group campsite do you recommend with a nice view? thanks!!!
Two jack lakeside is a great spot but it only works for people with tents. It depends on what equipment you’re using to camp. Silverhorn is great for RVs. Rampart Creek is great overall. Honeymoon Lake is excellent in Jasper.
Wapiti has already been recorded, needs edit & release date. McLeod Meadows is on the list of 24 remaining to be recorded while 18 have been recorded already.
@@EricTremblayAdventures Great! I have reserved one night stay on the riverside sites at each of both CGs. When are you planing to upload Wapiti's tour? I'm a bit nervous about Mcleod as it has no cellular connectivity and is a bit secluded but I am expecting to see some nice views of the Athabasca river in Mcleod CG. Last question, anything special about Wapiti CG's riverside views?
Depending on campsite, you may not see the river at Wapiti from your site. A lot of trees in the mid camp have been cut due to pine beetle damage. I would suggest stopping at honeymoon lake (first come first serve) if there’s a campsite available, stay there instead.
The lakeside campground is meant for tents & you may only find power at the cooking shelters. Some of them may not have power at all. You should be using propane to cook your food while camping, it’s easier & faster than electric.
We'll be staying in Two Jack Lakeside in mid-September. Thanks for the tour!
That's awesome! you'll definitely want to go every year!
Hi Eric - Greetings from Toronto. Enjoyed your video so much, I subscribed to your channel. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I used to fly fish for rainbow trout on Two Jack lake back in the day...Bears were always a concern...!
Nice editing!
Glad you think so! We just booked a site here today to giveaway this summer. It’s a great campground!
I am planning to go in August. Do I need heater in equipped camping site?

Can i expect a tour of wapiti CG, McLeod Meadows CG in upcoming days?

@@EricTremblayAdventures I don’t see it on parks canada reservation website. Is it an unofficial CG? Is there anyway to book it in advance?
First Come First Serve, most of the best campgrounds for being secluded & views are FCFS.
When was this filmed
Prior to the 2023 opening.
Is there electricity for us to cook in a stove?

This is the one with no shower facilities
The larger campground has no showers, the lakeside campground has multiple showers, shown in the video. ✌️
