Guys an idiot plain and simple. Community outreach programs involving law enforcement exists, but it's ultimately up to members of the community to participate in these programs.
They could if there were an excess beyond the number needed to handle the volume of crimes they have to respond to, but if that were to happen then they would be calling it wasteful spending that should go directly to the communities.

The tint law was changed in VA when a cop got shot after a traffic stop on the Highway because he walked up to the window and couldn't see the person behind the wheel because the tint was so dark. The guy just shot him through the window. He had been pulled over for speeding, I believe.
There are too many dynamic elements that are intrinsic to using a motor vehicle as a means of transportation on public roads and that elevate the risk factors officers face which justify the need to compromise privacy imo.

Where I live, most windows are tinted these days. When I'm driving behind someone, rarely can I tell the race of the person. I doubt that racial bias is playing much of a role in disparities of police stops in general.
It doesn’t. In fact, since Saint Floyd benevolently gave his life for all of humanity, cops, White ones in particular, have been doing everything they can to avoid stopping/pulling over/arresting blacks. Not worth the (very good) chance they’ll turn what could have been a routine stop into a shootout, which will lead to the cop having his social and professional life destroyed.
Pulling someone over for going 50 in a posted 30 residential area IS engagement. When the driver cooperates and has documents they just get a ticket. When the driver fights with the police, doesn't have a license, etc., etc, they will get even more "engagement".

This has been in place informally in many cities for years. It's probably the main reason traffic fatality rates and accident rates have been going up lately.

Yeah I live right by where the Mikey Brown riots happened in 2014, and a major complaint/demand from the BLM people was that they keep getting ticketed for "nothing" and racking up fines and warrants and that the police were taking advantage of them as a revenue source. They also voted in some of these lunatics. Traffic enforcement hasn't really been a thing for a decade. Might have some correlation with St Louis always topping "most dangerous" lists.
Vermonter here! It’s happening in our state already and it’s horrendous. The uptick in crime is deplorable and this is literally allowing drug dealers, traffickers, carjackers, and more to continue to operate without consequence. Our beautiful city is falling apart and partly due to our police offers being unable to do their jobs. Our district attorney released a MURDERER back onto our streets and she’s not afraid to continue to exacerbate these crimes. Please please please don’t allow this to happen in your states!

In most states, going 25 over the posted speed limit is considered reckless driving! And that's because those excessive speeds often result in serious accidents!
As well it should. Nobody should have to die because someone wants to speed.
Excessive tints are unnecessary, all they do is make traffic stops more hazardous for police and make it easier for criminals to evade being spotted by cameras on the road. I'm sure it also helps to sneak up on people during kidnappings and drive-bys. If you think the "excessive exhaust" is ridiculous, look up "whistle tips." You'd get your legislature to make them illegal if you had them in your neighborhood.
Left Chicago’s south suburbs 4 years ago. Crime was rampant then, even worse now.
Sounds like he is taking one for the team by pushing an absurd bill. Then someone else will push something still stupid, but perhaps slightly less so, and it will be seen as a reasonable compromise.
It blows my mind that we allow ANY of these race-based policies to stay in place. It's almost like it's fine if it puts white people behind. They can't keep up with us so they have to try and slow us down. They can't have glaring examples of whom is better in every measurement that matters.
I live on 79th Street on the SouthSide and they target people with no front plate, they told me. I'm a vet and my front plate fell off and they keep pulling me over and find out my plate is in the windshield they let me go. I'm disabled and I can't get my plate fixed at the moment , c'est la vie 🤣

Hope you’re lucky enough to keep that for a long time. It keeps spreading out like a disease from places like Chicago, Quad Cities, ST Louis and Springfield, which the politicians seem to love. Makes their politics easier. With the increase of these large cities depopulating, it may increase. Only reason I go back is to see family and Chicago sports every once in a great while. I’d never move back to any part of IL. MO used to be the trailer park of the Midwest. IL seems to have proudly taken over.
I disagree on the tints. I don't know how it goes in the US but in Europe the cameras that catch you speeding send the ticket with a photo of the license plate and another of the driver. Also for cops everytime they aproach a vehicle they are exposing themselves but a vehicle with tints its literally hell because someone could be aiming at you from the inside and you won't notice until its too late. There's a reason why they tint their windows for drive by's + in Brazil if you enter a favela with tints and you don't lower your windows they swiss cheese the car before asking lol

Look at the 2000 Census data,blacks were 13-15%. That was 24 years ago. They’re way more than that now. Whites are now below 48% of the U.S. population (including Hispanics and Asians). Globally whites are 6%. Don’t take my word for it,do the same research I did…

The statement at the end was spot-on. National elections shouldn't matter more than state and local. Your vote matters far more in state and local elections than in national elections due to the fact that their are fewer voters in state and local and less dilution of your vote. A case for federalism.
That's true and always been the case. I ask people all the time if they know who their local and state representatives are. No surprise the VAST majority have no clue.
This is assuming that the area you vote in is fair and not compromised. I would not put it past people like the "supermayor" to fuck over the people and get somehow 200% voter turnout. Plus look at how the biden administration is basically just holding open the doors for illegal immigration and trying to give them voter rights.
