I remember a quote I read from Gilmour a long time ago about the production for that song. He said something like, "In the end, it didn't not sound like Pink Floyd." I always remember that. :)
Right! Knopfler is a master of playing the changes too. It doesn't have to be fancy or fast if you play the right notes over the chord.

Gilmour is an absolute legend. Utter melodic master and goosebumbs guitarlines everytime. His dynamics and phrasing are so good.
