I used to run the windmill Heidelberg for printing and die cutting. For short period ran the Heidelberg cylinder for die cutting jobs. I loved these presses. Fun to operate, but also the sounds. Along with these was a bindery man and small offset pressman. I loved printing and miss it
Ah, the sounds made by the Heidelbergs... I once had a film director spend an hour just recording the sounds of my Windmill - then used them in the pilot to White Collar. That deep thumping and hissing of the Windmill was in the background of one of the key scenes...
bonito taller, ésa máquina (minuto 058) de que fabrica y modelo es. combinas tipo suelto y flexográfico . Aun es rentable en tu lugar éste oficio, En Nicaragua va en picada lenta, espero equivocarme porque tengo proyectos. Gracias
I was a compositor and used to lock up jobs for the Heidelberg platens and cylinders 50 years ago, lovely machines, nice vid, bought back old memories, many thanks from down under🇦🇺👍
This was a pleasure to watch and to see the quality of what they were producing. A little funny, however to see him lock up a die for die cutting, then ink up the press and print from a different form. Of course, the Heidelberg Windmill can do both - but not at the same time! ;)
@@headleycaryer3795 - Not as many as there once was, for sure. But I'll bet that those Heidelbergs will still be running 50-100 years from now - in some exclusive "retro" letterpress shops... as well as for some practical general job printing. I still do both with mine.
Camarada, al parecer es una lámina de resina (ya expuesta o quemada) de las que se usan en flexo-grafía. También existen o existieron las que tienen soporte magnético, aquí en nicaragua no vinieron al menos comercialmente.
Interesting film - a shame about the bloody music!

Great video, what's with the loud punk rock music??????
Not a well made video, it keeps flashing from one scene to another and the music should not even be in there; let's hear the machines instead.
