    Imagine having this in a corner of the office. You ask the client if they want a business card, you go there, ink the plate and press one realy quick.

    Hello,
    I have a question regarding the printing and embossing plate,
    Is it possible to use the polymer resin plates to do embossing like the zinc or metal plates? Because it’s easy to make that types of plates, the main job needed is give the deep impression ( embossing the cardstock )

    • @w_letterpress
      @w_letterpress  2 роки тому

      hello. The resin plate has a low depth, so it will be difficult to feel like a metal plate. :)

    Hi, I was just wondering what type of plate you use in your press… is it the same type of plate you would use for a foil press? I.e copper, brass or magnesium?

    • @w_letterpress
      @w_letterpress  2 роки тому +1

      The plate I use is a zinc plate. The plate can be used for printing and foil. It is a commonly used board in Korea and is inexpensive. However, the quality of the plates differs for each technician.

      Years ago (I’m retired now), we used foil from Korea because of its superiority over others. The foils you are using, is it safe for the environment and the pressman? Canada had banned foil manufactured in the USA for its toxic fumes.

      hello. The plate is made of zinc.
      The method is manufactured by corrosive method using chemical products.
      It is difficult and dangerous for individuals to make it, so it is made in a professional manufacturing factory.
      When removing the plate, the liquid uses mineral spirits.

    Hello,
    My daughter just bought one of these second hand.
    Can you tell my if there is any way to adjust the arms holding the rollers?

    Any help or info would be appreciated

    • @w_letterpress
      @w_letterpress  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure exactly, but check the roller size. A while ago, in my case, the rollers of the old version of the pilot were installed on the new version of the pilot, but the rollers were different in size, causing distortion.
      And make sure the roller truck is mounted correctly.

      Hello. You can work on business cards on the tabletop. If it only contains text, it can be easily printed. However, it may not be possible to print a background that fills a large area. For equipment recommendation, C&P Pilot or Hohner equipment is recommended.
      In my case, I bought it from an American personal blogger. There is no separate retailer.
