- Here is an update on my first restoration project 1972 Chevrolet C10 pick up using the bolt on Quadralink Suspension kit from Detroit Speed. Simply and easy to use bolt on kit to C-notch my long bed frame with a template to help get the right position and great instructions manual allowed me to do my very first c-notch!

Great job Ranas, your doing just fine, best way to learn mechanical skills is by doing, I am a retired Chevrolet mechanic, worked on cars since I was old enough to walk ❤❤
Thank you! I have started later but I’m keen and enjoying it! Great skill to have.
I knew you would get back on the build. Looking for the completion. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely if I could work on it everyday I would!
@@RanasRadar We in America are losing our trades people. Fabrication and car building will take an individual far. Looking good.
Great job! I like that you're not afraid to get in there and get dirty. Please always use your PPE, especially eye protection!
Thank you but yes I will get some proper protection soon
Its nice to see you doing serious hands on work.
Thanks I love it
A little on the job training, learn as we go, I am sure your truck will be fantastic when complete, keep up the great work Rana.
thanks Don, I have already learnt so much and this is just the beginning but obviously practice makes perfect and I will keep going!
The bit won't break if you get behind the drill and control it the way the other guy did after you broke the bit. Reaching up to drill makes it so that you cannot control the angle of the drill. When you are almost thru, the bit will tend to grab uncontrollably. If you aren't in a good position to control it, then the angle suddenly changes and the bit snaps. Been there done that, learned how not to do it again. You are doing a great job Rana!!! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Brad, you’re absolutely right and I didn’t help the cause by moving it around with force, something I def need to practice and listen to the sounds it makes.
Good job on your truck. Keep up the work on it.
Thanks I can’t wait to work on it again!
Nice one Rana 😀👍 and so it begins 💪😂
That’s right!! Thanks Craig!
.....its looking good rana.....those C10 are worth a pretty penny too...
Going to be a nice ride for sure
It's gonna be nice.... good job...
Thank you!
Doing a good job.
Thank you!
Hi Rana ....your doing a top notch job your doing a great on your metal work and you should be proud yourself,,,and i also love the that you left the "Oh Shit" comment in...this aussie is proud..LMAO
It is very difficult drilling holes above your head. Truck will be beautiful!
It was so tough! I let Kent do the rest of drilling so I wouldn’t break any more bits!
Your skills will come but you already have nice form !😂
Thank you! I will keep practicing!
The drill was not level when you were drilling. But hey that s how you learn, and it was high as hell for you. Should of lowered it down like he did to drill strait. But good job with the hands on.
Thank you! Yes I’ll definitely keep that in mind next time I am drill and try not to move it around so much
Remember your safety glasses!
absolutely!
Hearing protection to
Warning-- 7 inch angle grinders can be extremely dangerous, consider using the screw in side handle with it.
Better use the protection cover on the grinder , you keep your vingers protect.
Do you not use the short bed conversion kit ?
I am keeping this a long bed
I have broken more drill bits than I can to count.😅😅😅😅😅😅
This makes me feel better!!
He made you drill over your head and he drilled at chest level sorry but you were bound to have a failure
I’m definitely keen to try again!
