Hey Rana….FYI, only 1292 were made in 1957 (which explains why it is considered rare), it was the most expensive Pontiac sold in ‘57 until they debuted the Bonneville in mid season, curious what body number this car is….I have one and it’s 303 of 1292….(doesn’t look anywhere close to how nice this is tho!). People paying these prices have too much money. EVERYONE should know that all cars lose 10% of their value once driven off the lot and decrease each year thereafter. Also, any and all work done on a car, including everything from painting it to a full off body restoration is considered nothing but regular maintenance and adds NOTHING to the value of the car. Vintage cars (those manufactured before 1930), do have some added value, such as the 1929 Ford with all the paperwork would add between 3 and 5K to the price, so that car should be tops at $5,800.00.

On the Model A convertible, the dealer, Doan Ford, was on North 5th Street near Wyoming Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. My barber inherited his uncle's Model A rumble seat model which was purchased at Doan and he kept the invoice mounted on his mirror in his shop, total around $550. Doan Ford later became Doan Calhoun Chevrolet and was a going concern for many years. They sold lots of Chevys during their years in business, including to our family. I do have to say that they had the worst service department that I ever had to deal with.
