Thanks, it helped a lot👍🏻. For people who asked about the differences (RS3), you could access the Balance Test from the gimbal itself not the App and for the M1, M2 & M3 they are made with the side switch (PTF, PF & FPV).
Hey mate! Great video but FYI Lower deadband = More reactive and Higher Deadband = Less Reactive. So 2 is actually more sensitive. Try something like 6 :) You got everything else right tho...
Almost the exact settings I use for my Ronin SC. One thing I would add is after you do a balance test go to the Motor Parameters page and do an Auto Tune.
Thanks for this super helpful question. Once you custom adjust your settings like you did, if you calibrate the gimbal does that do away with your custom settings? Does the auto calibration override your custom settings? Thanks!
With my RS3 I am not getting the same overall features as shown, the Balance Test on the app shows videos on how to balance the gimbal even though I have it at an angle. The "M" button refers me to the side switch and only locks and unlocks the screen. I do have the settings entered and will be testing the gimbal a little later this morning. Thanks for the info!
Which app are you using. I have the RS3 Pro and Ronin app and on the balance test page there’s just some videos. On the user profile page in the app there’s no M1,2,3. You seem to have a better app!
Great video and thank you for sharing. Do you need to create the different user profiles on the Ronin? When I access it on my phone, only have one user profile is profile showing?
why does my RS3 only show the tutorial for the balance test but doesnt actually do the test. and how do I get M1 M2 M3 to show. when I click user profile it doesnt give me three options
Can you turn off the app connection after custom settings and work the RS3PRo (I have) without using my phone? I wish we did not need an app to make these setting work.
I'm wondering why tilt and roll follow speed at 3:10 can even configured when the mode is pan follow? If the gimbal only follows the pan then tilt and roll follow speed shouldn't change anything or do is miss something?
I freaking love you man! Been having a hard time getting the right settings to film automotive cinematography. Going to try these settings on my next shoot. So far it feels fantastic
Truly appreciate your clear instructions. I wonder if you have some footage of you doing the actual filming and see how you use those profiles. It would be great!
This was awesome mate, thank you so much 🙌🙏. This was exactly what I was looking for, and stoked your an Aussie too. This vid presents very well and it's good having the screen shots of the app working to change this settings. Well done !
I thought for deadband it was the opposite. High deadband stops the gimbal (camera) from easily moving left/right when you pivot the handle and a low deadband makes the gimbal (camera) move easily and faster when you turn the handle. Am I wrong?
Thank you man!!!!! Yes, very easy to follow. I find it interesting how different people learn, and for me, this was great. I'd been looking for a clearer understanding of the RS3 and this did wonderfully!!!
A lot of people are asking why they do not see modes 1,2,3.. could it be that you are using an app for RS-2 and not the RS-3 ?? Or are you using an RS-2 gimbal??
Your understanding and use of Deadband is incorrect. Deadband dampens the sensitivity of the gimbal, meaning that the higher it’s set, the more slowly and smoothly it will react to handling motion. I don’t mean to be a jerk, but this kinda leads one to suspect that you’re just setting values to what you assume are the best settings and not fully paying attention to how they’re actually affecting the gimbal… which brings into question why you’re making a tutorial video about it…
Muy bueno! Gracias. Gracias!
why , on my Gimlbal, after makein gthose adjustments, ( on DJI RS 3) on the uppoer left, theres : tilt roll, pan, but thy are set to , 6, 8, and 10 ) So doesn the settings in the phone cout or the number sI se on the gimbale ?
This is not needed for the RS3 or RS3 Pro because we have a mode switch and all you need is to change the deadband to low on all modes and then change the speed from slow to fast depending on the situation.
how come my app does not have m1 m2 and m3 what version is that i have issue with the pan cannot aim at the object any suggestion from any one got rs3 pro combo also in my balance test it only give me video not like yours
I'm 20 seconds into the video and already you've used the word, "actually," twice for no reason. You don't need to add it randomly to everything you say. Just use it when it's appropriate to do so. And you can just call it the gimbal, not the "actual" gimbal. Do you go to a restaurant and say you'll have an "actual" hamburger with "actual" fries with an an "actual" coke? No, you don't, so there's no need to do it here.
Thanks, it helped a lot👍🏻. For people who asked about the differences (RS3), you could access the Balance Test from the gimbal itself not the App and for the M1, M2 & M3 they are made with the side switch (PTF, PF & FPV).

Indeed you do not want to put your DeadBand on low if you want smooth footage...
Almost the exact settings I use for my Ronin SC. One thing I would add is after you do a balance test go to the Motor Parameters page and do an Auto Tune.
Great tip🤜🏽
Definitely would recommend this before every shoot 😊
Thanks for this super helpful question. Once you custom adjust your settings like you did, if you calibrate the gimbal does that do away with your custom settings? Does the auto calibration override your custom settings? Thanks!
Super helpful. I was having a few issues with jarring movements but this has fixed it. Cheers.
Stocked to hear this😊🤝🏼
Excellent tutorial and HUGELY appreciated - Thank you. Game changer :)

They Will slightly vary between different models although the settings shouldn’t be to different. Keen to hear how the setting go for you😊🤝🏼
same not sure why my options are different
Great video! Do many people use the joystick to move the camera around or just pan using the handle?
Thank you for explaining this! Much appreciated
What handle have you got on the back there, cheers
Which app are you using. I have the RS3 Pro and Ronin app and on the balance test page there’s just some videos. On the user profile page in the app there’s no M1,2,3. You seem to have a better app!
Really appreciate this legend!

Great Video ❤ Are all your locks off when you finally balance the camera, and shooting in your three created modes?

Awesome bro, I’m so glad to hear🔥 keen to see how it all goes🤜🏽
Very nice tutorial. Easy to follow which helps beginners like myself. Thank you.

Me too I thought that deadband was opposite from what he says in the video
yea I think hes wrong unless they did a firmware update
Thank you man!!!!! Yes, very easy to follow. I find it interesting how different people learn, and for me, this was great. I'd been looking for a clearer understanding of the RS3 and this did wonderfully!!!
Appreciate your comment 😊 super grateful to hear this😊
Great information. Thanks

GREAT tutorial
Hey man, great video. Thanks for the tips!
No worries bro. Glad to have helped

Awesome, Goodluck and make some great content🔥
What is that chord from camera to gimbal? What is it for?
Hello, i set on lock mode but what I am experiencing is still doing pan .
Great video, thanks!
No dramas😊, let us know how you go🤜🏽
Thanks for the video m8

Dead band should be on higher number for smoothness
Thank you! 😊
No problem at all😊

Good Looks!!!!
how come my app does not have m1 m2 and m3
what version is that
i have issue with the pan cannot aim at the object any suggestion from any one got rs3 pro combo also in my balance test it only give me video not like yours
I dont have thé 3 modes M1 M2 & M3 un m'y Dji rs3 app
nice
I dont see any M1 M2 , or M3 ? If I push "M" on the gimbal, only screen lock turns on .
what is PUSH MODE in the app ronin ?
you can manually move ronin with your hands
cool🎉💪🏽
🎉🎉🎉
🤝🏼
M1 M2 M3 not showing on App.
you got it all wrong with the deadband
Your explanation of Deadband is completely inaccurate…
