    Great tips. This is brilliant mate. Would love to see more. After seeing this I am reconsidering some choices on a documentary I released last month on UA-cam.

      Thanks man, really appreciate it! Your Salvadoreño doc? I watched some - you're a very natural presenter! Should definitely keep making them

    Thanks for the video! I love the lack of dialogue during moments in Spirited Away, particularly the scene at the beginning when her parents start eating, so amazingly done!

      I don't remember that from Spirited Away! Another excuse to watch it again ;) cheers!

      Hi Bill, the new chemo had backfired on me and I almost died. Just got out of the hospital after 7 weeks so soon as I can I’ll get started again.

    Thanks, where did you find your archival footage? Was it all public domain?

    • @BillThisdell
      @BillThisdell  5 місяців тому

      archive.org has a lot of footage in the public domain, WWII stuff is mostly from US Army public broadcasts

    Quick question: Any good tips for a platform to find archive footage ? Working on a cultural video and need to present some part of the history of Argentina. Really struggling to find relevant footage for this part :/

      I’ve had good luck with archive.org There is a lot of footage there but it can take a long time to find useful clips

    Thank you for this, very helpful... I'm looking for old wartime video of warplanes flying in the clouds, if possible mostly filmed from inside the planes. Any tips to where I can find something like that?

    • @BillThisdell
      @BillThisdell  Рік тому

      I always search on archive.org -- they have a lot of public-domain WWII footage. It's a bit of a pain to hunt through the archives but you can find good stuff there!

      I was wondering the same thing @Julie Kejejian... I has assumed that @Bill Thisdell was using an Apple Pencil with a green screen in Procreate on an iPadPro. It is a very compelling technique that works more effectively than the PowerPoint style of conventional annotations. Nice work.

    • @BillThisdell
      @BillThisdell  3 роки тому +1

      @@spikeboydell I have since upgraded to procreate but at the time I was using a very cheap tablet and my laptop. It was a real pain but got the job done. Ipad is so much better now!
