OMG... I want to cry... this is so precious on so many levels!
I remember seeing a clip of her a few years ago, in the midst of her battle, where she was basically having to use all of her energy to shake a fan's hand and talk with them, to the point of practically collapsing into her wheelchair afterward. I had to watch it three times to get to the ending, because I kept having to stop and cry my eyes out, so to see her looking and doing so well, being in such good spirits, and using her platform to help others in the physical disability community feel seen and welcome, it just makes me wanna cry for a whole other reason.
I suppose if I was religious I'd say god bless you Selma Blair, but since I'm not I'll just go to a classic phrase in my home country: Good on ya! 💜💜💜

There’s so much you can tell about people when they are able to let other people speak or if they can’t pause to allow them to speak. It shows how they may be self absorbed.
What an incredible thing to do for people who need clothing that are more user friendly. These clothes would have been a great addition to my mom’s wardrobe, my mom who I cared for for almost 9 years had Alzheimer’s, dressing her was a challenge to say the least. So thankful for their collaboration…These clothes will help so many people.

As someone who’s recently been diagnosed with Primary Progress MS the celebrity support is helping get the word out. Isaac is just there to support her.
You'll be ok. My mother was dx'd in 1953 at Mass General in Boston. She was 19, in college and lost her eye sight. It came back. Believe me, the word was out way back then; Blair is no pioneer; she's pitching merch to women who do not have her resources.., but who will put this crap on a credit card. My mother lived to be 88. I won't say she didn't struggle at times. But she never cried, complained, groused. Your friends do not want to be around a crier or anyone who is feeling ashamed. Do not let the MS define you. Integrity, courage,...and a good sense of humor. Surround yourself with people who aren't there to pity you. Be very careful with your diet and get a good night's sleep. This is how my mother lived her life. As she used to say, "I'm perfectly healthy...except for the MS."

I really admire her courage in talking about how transformative stem cell treatment has been. Because of her, other friends of mine with MS have gotten stem cell therapy and are improving daily. I’ve gotten it for a different movement disorder and am finally seeing improvements instead of the relentless decline in quality of life. It’s such a game changing advancement in medicine.

We do need accesible clothes. I’m disabled and I loved fashion but now is hard because fabrics are rough and cheap, I would love to look elegant without the stiffness of some styles and textures.

It's heartbreaking that doctors didn't take Selma seriously, even when she'd have to walk into their office dragging one leg behind her. She went undiagnosed for too long because of this. Doctors don't always take females seriously.. this needs to change

“if you earn too much while on Social Security Disability Insurance benefits consistently or even in one month, your access to benefits may be threatened. Earning over a certain amount in a month can trigger a trial work period, which might result in a loss of benefits if left unchecked.”
