    My wife gifted me a tassimo years ago, It was a great little machine, I used it daily with the refillable pods and it worked well for me. Last week the machine exploded all over the kitchen. Yesterday I ordered a Delonghi ECP3620 and thanks to your videos I was able to decide which espresso machine to choose. I never expected myself to get so interested in espresso making, I cannot wait for it to arrive.

    Thanks! I was curious about Tassimo, having only experienced Keurig and Nespresso (classic and vertuo) capsule machines. In general I agree with you: I can make a much tastier (and cheaper) drink with my DF64V and Breville Touch Impress.

    So I’ve used a tassimo for years and i get the Costa espresso capsules in bulk from Amazon every month. I have a milk frother and make my own latte. I can’t use the milk capsules as they taste awful. So americano and real frothed milk and i get a perfect latte, every, single, morning…

      I’m in the UK. That version is probably the cheapest, you can pay more and they are more robust and sturdy, but still plastic.

      Excellent Zoomy - exactly the solution l was looking for B4 buying : "Espresso pods, no milk powder, then use milk frother"

    You know, capsules are funny. I bought some third-party Nespresso Professional capsules to use at work, but then soon discovered they aren't compatible with our fancy new Momento machine...probably because it also has a scanner inside. So what I ended up doing was just buy a used Zenius machine for home, so I don't waste the capsules, and I can still recycle them for free at work.
    Was it worth it? Well, $50 for a like-new machine that goes for several hundred new is pretty good, but in my case, anything that helps me get out the door on time is a good purchase ;)

    You've used wrong capsule for the Latte 😉 They come in pair. That affects taste and volume. Right capsule is small shot. We used older version of this machine quite a lot. We've got Delonghi Eletta Explore. 😊

    Funny I’m starting to look into Nespresso and these kind of machines. After three weeks of trying to make the real espresso thing work with the Dedica and all the accessories I gave up and sent everything back today to Amazon.
    Just could not get the recipe right. Too much work just to have a cup of coffee in the morning😂
    We still have our DeLonghi Magnifica 3300 so we’re gonna stick with that for a while.

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  6 місяців тому

      Often times when people get frustrated with the Dedica, or any espresso machine, it's because of the beans used, or maybe the grinder. The machine itself is quite capable.
      Nespresso does good for just having a 5g dose, but that's not enough for me. Maybe the new Vertuo...

      @@TomsCoffeeCorner We’ve been using the DeLonghi Magnifica, 3300 for 8 years. It was starting to show some signs of dying, which is why I went on the espresso machine, hunt, and journey. But it seems to be working fine now, so I realized I like just pushing one button to have my espresso much better than all it takes to do it the real way. 😉

    Thanks Tom for showing PRECISELY how this works.
    I returned a Tassimo Vivy due the 4 page book with no written explanations - only a guessing game from a page of cartoons with ✅ or ❌ beside mystery actions.
    Nothing to say find the yellow disc hidden right underneath or its purpose : its a bar code reader + cleaner ! Thanks.
    No instruction to fit a black ring loose in the box, under the lid to hold the pods, or which way up without damage.
    No idea how to set it up, how the water heating buttons work without READING the 3 essential steps or a visual demo like yours.
    I'm not stupid, l can fix my car + use power tools. The Vivy has a teeny water tank, no handle, difficult to lift out. Thanks to you l see the bigger
    Suny tank has a safe lift out handle.
    Off to buy a Tassimo Suny to make my laté from Espresso pods with a milk frother.
    (A 👍added for your demo and your viewers' helful tips) 🥃

    The machine is useless it doesn't say anything in the manual or on UA-cam that you have to keep your finger on the button to get a full cappuccino because take your finger off the button and it stops working. This is the 2nd tassimo I have had and that was useless as well

      In which way?

    • @gs2365
      @gs2365 24 дні тому

      @TomsCoffeeCorner it produces a very good quality coffee, you just need to press the stop button when you don't want it too diluted. So easy to adjust. Also the pods are not expensive, I get my favourate XL Americans for £4.20 it has 16 pods inside, that is around 27p a pod. It is a bargain. Also on Tassimo site there are loads of choices and offers or even in the supermarket. What you tasted as sweet in this video is brand related. Other brands are not that sweet. Just my take and of course you can agree or disagree. Thanks for your video. You still had a lot of good information in there. Regarding re-usable pods, they are nice idea but very fidely and messy, and some people reported damaging your machine. I avoid them at any costs. The only one aspect I don't like is the coffee temperature could be just a bit hotter and it is not with this one. My older machine was a lot better but sadly it started to play and had to be replaced. Still managed good 7 years out of it.

    Yes well, it's about what you'd expect from a company that also makes hand drills, washing machines, and industrial hydraulics. Probably OK for an Airbnb 'cos it's so cheap it doesn't much matter if someone breaks it or walks away with it (I wouldn't). Don't like capsule machines in general. That cafè crema looks about the right size for dunking a length of buttered baguette into, though: could imagine it being used as fast hangover therapy.
    Just read that "cafè crema" was the original term for an espresso. How have the mighty fallen!

      Lol John, thanks for your comment. I agree, I wouldn't walk out with one of these either. Our neighbor has one though, because although she doesn't drink coffee, she wants to offer guests something. For those uncommon occurrences, I think a machine like this is fine. But not as a daily driver. cheers!
