I felt witcher 3 lacking such a sinister places with very spooky athmosfere. Where music, environment, lightning - everyrhing mixes perfectly :) and imposes hair standing sensation all, over the skin.
I love The Witcher 1 and I prefer it to the third game but I disagree. There are places like the Fyke Isle with A Towerful of Mice quest or the Trastamara Estate Ruins with a wight quest. Those are pretty creepy.
Yeaah, that last bit adds this glimpse of hope, like "this place is real fucked up and dangerous but I'm a witcher and I'm not going to get killed by a small pack of ghouls"

Like night in Witcher 3 should be dangerous and spooky, but its pretty calm. Witcher 1 did it better.

Add those monsters voices you hear when exploring crypts and ruins, and its perfect. Damn, this game has perfect atmosphere.
