Why are you taking master cyl off? Just loosen the handlebar clamps & the locking rings off the top of forks & slide or pull forks through. Wheel & axle & brake line/calipers off. Undo bottom bolts holding forks & pull fork legs out. Hope you have already loosened top forks cap for easy removal. Now ready to change the fork oil. I use 8.75W. fork oil as 10W to hard & 7,5W too soft. I don't worry about measuring distance top of fork to oil. I justmeasure correct volume of it & that's it. Bob's your Aunt, that's it.Lol.
The bolt you are undo at 18:12 is mega stuck on my blackbird. I can't get it loose. I'm affraid im destroying the hex when i'm turning it more powerfull.. :(
Very informative video. I enjoy tinkering with my Bird and find these videos a useful guide. Just one thing, is that front tyre on the wrong way round?
Tosh twentythree They do have USD forks ..that means you need a set of tools to do them the tools on this video.... Laser Tools 5267 Motorcycle Fork Spring Compressor
Its a dark art mate, and I know nothing about it...From what I can understand if you have too much "dive" when the brakes are on then its the spring....,If the front wheel isnt tracking and staying planted to the road then its your oil....and thats all I know...even then I could be wrong....On this one I know nothing.... Ps ..It could also be your back end....gets complicated the more you look into it
