I’m guilty of blind buying and I love it haha! 😂 I think 80% of my collection are blind buys. I have to say that I’m very good at picking out scents I know I will love so I rarely get disappointed anymore. Maybe that’s a skill I can tell my grandchildren about one day 😂 I watch a loooot of reviews, how people describe the scents, look for notes I love and scents that are in the same family as the ones I already love. It’s actually really interesting and fun 😍
I'm much better at it now than I used to be. I know that ozonic notes (Arden's Sunflowers, CK Escape, & Cool Water by Davidoff among others) do not smell good on me. I now know I like vanilla, amber, honey, pear & anything gourmand.

I love blind buying perfume! It's like a gift to myself and then it's a whole experience when I open it. Plus I don't like going to perfume stores just to smell perfume because the ladies that work there are normally way too pushy! You got me curious about the Montblanc perfume. Might be the next blind buy ;)
I'm totally with you on the shopping in stores thing! I get so frustrated when the staff are breathing down my neck and won't just let me explore. Some of the high end places are really good though and I'm free to sniff to my heart's desire 😆
I think my biggest problem with blind buys is my wanting to believe that the most beautiful bottles will smell the best.. they don’t always smell great and then you feel bad for spending 100+ on a fancy paperweight😅
I love your channel because I basically have no choice but to blind buy. The only stores close to me that have nice perfumes are Ulta and TJMaxx, other than that, I'd have to drive 60 miles to smell something. So I count on channels like yours to help me out with what's worth it and what's not. I try to get samples if I can, but that's not always possible.
I picked up the Guerlain for cheap after hearing you talk about it and I can’t stand it! It’s totally fine- it happens and I’m not upset but just another example of how insanely subjective scent preferences are!!

My best blind buy has been Coach Poppy Citrine Blossom. I was just scrolling through cheapies on Fragrance Net and I liked the notes and bottle. Such a dice roll! However, it is such a nice citrus green tea fragrance! My husband loves it on me and it's one of my go-to freshies, especially in warm weather.
Womanity for me is one of the worse smelling fragrances ever. When it first came out I sprayed a tester on me. I literally thought I was going to vomit. It smelled like a salty fishy mess...and then I could not get it off my arm!

90% of my collection is blind bought. I’ve only had a handful of regrets out of 200+ bottles. Figment Man just so happens to be my biggest regret 😂. My purchases are only blind as far as I’ve not smelled them before. I research every bit of information available before I “blind” buy. Blind doesn’t mean uninformed necessarily.

Blind bought BR's Black Platinum and it was too masculine for me! Gave it to hubs! Blind bought Angel Muse EDT, and didn't love it, gave it to my sister. Blind bought MFK Oud Satin Mood and had to scrub it off, but scrubbing it didn't even work 😱 that stuff is potent. Best blind buys so far this year have been YSL Libre and GA My Way (not the best frags I've smelled, but not fails), oh and Piano Santal by L'Orchestre Parfum!
hmm I might be doing a blind buy of Narciso Rodriguez's For Her edt because currently there's a good deal on it. I like the For Her edp, but have never smelt the edt. I blind bought... 1. Girl of Now- still on the fence about it. One minute I like it but the next I'm not so sure?? 2. Scandal- IDK, I want to love it but something is off putting to me. 3. Nomade- it's just not me. My problem is the very first fragrance I ever wore us Coco Chanel Mademoiselle. It's been my signature scent ever since and I want to so badly find something else but it's kind hard to top that one. Help!! LOL!

One succesfull blind buy following your reviews was Valentino Donna! You may still find a few bottles here in Argentina. Next will be Burberry Intense and Mon Guerlain also Intese. But there aren't in South América yet. Best wishes for the cute baby coming!
Nina ricci rose êxtase started my interest in fragrances. Not sure if my first love, but def my first perfume crush lol And I know it’s not considered a gourmand but it makes me think of Turkish delights. Such a pretty and delicious scent !
You should try Womanity in very cold weather. It will change a lot. The biggest suprise in my perfume life. I haven’t expected it as the one of the best wintertime fragrances but it is❤️👍

My worst blind buy was La Vie Est Belle. It was too sweet, gave it to my mum who loves it and it's become her signature scent. My best blind buy was Olympea by Paco Rabanne, one of the best scents I own.
Figement Amouage is fantastic. The most delicious thing I ever smelled. That's how differently people experiencing smells. Absolutely gorgeous perfume.
I blind bought Madonna’s Truth or Dare from watching a video of yours. Love it! I also blind bought Nest’s Indigo after Jessica Braun described it. Was disappointed with that one, but now two years later, I love it too. Not sure if aging changed it or if my tastes changed. There’s quite a few that I’ve blind bought and didn’t care for them but kept them anyway and ended up liking them years later.

I used to always blind buy perfumes after watching the ads on tv and/or whether the bottle was pretty or not ! And most of the time I was always disappointed haha the last blind buy perfume I bought was Cloud by AG, because it was cheap ,and I guess I am pretty happy with it !

Worst blind buy, JLo Glow, nose can’t take the opening, super floral and soapy I think and it lingers; the dry down is more tolerable. Best blind buy this far is light blue intense, love it.
I’ve stopped blind buying at full price lol At least the expensive ones because I don’t even have a bottle that has more than a quarter dent in it. I know I’m that person that one new fragrances every season anyways. I recently snagged Jasmins Marzipane on Mercari for $100 almost full still with the 2 plaques. One of my favorites! I have a Jasmine/ white floral obsession lol! I keep adding them to my collection. You might want to try Jo Malone intense Jasmine Sambac & merigold for Spring/ summer. A super bright fresh Jasmine.
You should try Rogue by Rhianna. It smells so niche and SO affordable. It's a plum swede perfume, and it has a plasticy leather nerds smell. I saw someone compare it to Gucci rush with the plasticy note.
I don’t like BR540, but Instant Crush smells nothing like BR540 to me. I like Pearl though, and I know what you mean by that green note. But for me it reminds me of walking into a flower shop and smelling freshly cut and dewy flowers.
My best blind buy, Xerjoff Cruz Del Sur II. Worst, and I JUST got this one, Narciso Poudree. It's so bad, I'm wondering if it could be a fake. Or is it just that bad?

I have blind bought most of my perfumes and they’ve all been pretty nice except D&G The Only One Intense. Smells like poop to me lol. But since that experience, I stick to 30ml bottles so I don’t feel too bad if I don’t like it😂
I blind bought Balenciaga - Flora botanica, Lalique- Soleil, Prada- La Femme and Nina Richie - La Rose extase - on your recommendation and I love them all. Having said that there were so many fragrances I thought I would love but then were not for me once I got a sample. Eg. Delina- I hate the sour note, Lancome Oud Bouquet- I hate oud, Dior Addict- it nearly made me sick. Also I blind bought Sofia by Sofia Vergara and although I don’t hate it , I am not a fan of the plum note so will pass it on
My sister worked at a vets office and she wasn't allowed any perfume or scented lotions at all cause animals have a strong sense of smell and it really bothers them plus it's harmful for them to breathe it in.
I've discovered that I am pretty difficult to please when it comes to a scent I want to smell all day ... Also want to keep a fragrance fairly close rather than taking over a space. No way I can blind buy with success! I did recently discover several from Henry Rose that I am loving, but never hear the brand talked about.

Usally im really frustrated with blind buying, im on the hunt for my new fave summer, fruity, woody, sexy deep niche fragrance, or a great designer with beast mode performance, firstly i bought Sunset Hours from Goldfield and Banks, it smells very close to what i want, but the performance is baaaah, than i bought JHAG Lust for Sun and thats horrible, mainly white florals and just smells like a laundry white floral so a NO for me, and yesterday i got Mancera Holidays, thought that one is described by so many as a TF Soleil Blanc dupe, mixed with Olympea by PR, but its straight up Monoi oil smelling with very salty facets, maybe will keep it for layering with some fruity, citrusy fruity fragrances, but not what i expected and wanted, all in 1 week and now im frustrated and will let that go ax long as i can....xD
I love to blindbuy pretty often and my worst one is propably lancome midnight rose. Really thought it would be a thick sweet rasberry rose patchouli scent.. But it was just a tart and smelled very much of that cassis and cedar on me, smelled like pencilshavings. So bad :(
i’ve learned the notes/combos i tend to like, so blind buying has become a lot easier, but i’ve found that the ones that i end up really falling in love with are always ones i randomly smell in store lol

I couldn't find petit robe noire eau fraiche but I blind bought petit robe noire perfecto eau florale and I like it alot. I got a sample of Cuir de nuit in my yves order and I thanked God that i didn't blind buy it because yuck! Instant Crush is still growing on me...
I feel bad about the money spend blind buying but it’s so fun and it’s so hard DK really test fragrances without having a hefty sample or the bottle. Sometimes I swear off of it but other rules I really lean in. Right not i am into a lens in phase snd just blind bought 3 perfumes - Armani So intense, yes I am by Cacharel, and Bvlgari (the new one in the rainbow Corel’s). Truthfully I really like all of them so success. I’ve but LPRN fraiche and Rose Extase on my list after this video.
Soir de Lune is my favorite perfume at the moment so I thought I'd try another Sisley creation--Soir de L'orient. Let's just say I'm glad I bought the travel spray because it smells like insect repellant on me. I almost suspected they played a trick on me and sent a sample of OFF! the bug spray.
For better or worse I almost exclusively blind buy these days. 😬But honestly I kind of prefer it that way - it's lets me really wear test things I otherwise would NEVER give a chance at first sniff. I've found so many unexpected favorites that way; "mehs" or "hates" turned to loves from giving them good fat wears.
OMG Gucci Rush will always be one of my faves. Ol’ school and so different! So sexy, so trashy & so hot all at once and it sure attracts the men (good & bad). Sorry but it does 🤷🏽♀️ lol
A very large portion of my collection was blind buys. Thankfully most of them were varying degrees of successful. My most recent successful blind buy was Amouage Sunshine. A disappointment was Laura Mercier Vanille Gourmand. I should have looked at the notes a bit more closely. Sandalwood and I have a very iffy relationship. This is one of those times we are on the outs.
Of all the fragrance reviewers around, Yana's taste and mine are almost identical. So I can't say I "blind buy" anymore, my buys are now semiblind- through the Scented. Hee hee.
There probably needs to be an epic release for me to jump on a perfume rn. Just because I have sooo many at this point and my nose is more than preoccupied with all these fragrances :)
Womanity…… yeah, I have a 2.7 oz bottle of that… I was so shocked when I first smelt it because it reminded me of cheap cologne right off the bat. I do use it in the summer when it’s super hot as my “summer camp” and “going to the pool” perfume (along with beachy scented lotions).
That Nina Ricci perfume is just lovely. I love to buy perfume and will blind buy according to recommendations along with notes. What doesn’t suit me I either sell of gift to my mom. She has an enviable ph.

My worst blind buy was La Vie Est Belle. It was too sweet, gave it to my mum who loves it and it's become her signature scent.
My best blind buy was Olympea by Paco Rabanne, one of the best scents I own.
Figement Amouage is fantastic. The most delicious thing I ever smelled. That's how differently people experiencing smells. Absolutely gorgeous perfume.
I blind bought Madonna’s Truth or Dare from watching a video of yours. Love it! I also blind bought Nest’s Indigo after Jessica Braun described it. Was disappointed with that one, but now two years later, I love it too. Not sure if aging changed it or if my tastes changed. There’s quite a few that I’ve blind bought and didn’t care for them but kept them anyway and ended up liking them years later.
Blind buys that I love are Ellis Brooklyn Sweet EDP and Sci-Fi EDP.

I 100% agree with you on Womanity… I tried very hard to expand my palette, appreciate the fragrance, etc. No… just no lol. It’s straight up fishy. After Womanity, it took me several years to come around to fig in fragrance. Thanks for posting!
I used to always blind buy perfumes after watching the ads on tv and/or whether the bottle was pretty or not ! And most of the time I was always disappointed haha the last blind buy perfume I bought was Cloud by AG, because it was cheap ,and I guess I am pretty happy with it !

Worst blind buy, JLo Glow, nose can’t take the opening, super floral and soapy I think and it lingers; the dry down is more tolerable. Best blind buy this far is light blue intense, love it.
I’ve stopped blind buying at full price lol At least the expensive ones because I don’t even have a bottle that has more than a quarter dent in it. I know I’m that person that one new fragrances every season anyways. I recently snagged Jasmins Marzipane on Mercari for $100 almost full still with the 2 plaques. One of my favorites! I have a Jasmine/ white floral obsession lol! I keep adding them to my collection. You might want to try Jo Malone intense Jasmine Sambac & merigold for Spring/ summer. A super bright fresh Jasmine.

You should try Rogue by Rhianna. It smells so niche and SO affordable. It's a plum swede perfume, and it has a plasticy leather nerds smell. I saw someone compare it to Gucci rush with the plasticy note.
I don’t like BR540, but Instant Crush smells nothing like BR540 to me. I like Pearl though, and I know what you mean by that green note. But for me it reminds me of walking into a flower shop and smelling freshly cut and dewy flowers.
My best blind buy, Xerjoff Cruz Del Sur II. Worst, and I JUST got this one, Narciso Poudree. It's so bad, I'm wondering if it could be a fake. Or is it just that bad?

I have blind bought most of my perfumes and they’ve all been pretty nice except D&G The Only One Intense. Smells like poop to me lol. But since that experience, I stick to 30ml bottles so I don’t feel too bad if I don’t like it😂

I blind bought Balenciaga - Flora botanica, Lalique- Soleil, Prada- La Femme and Nina Richie - La Rose extase - on your recommendation and I love them all. Having said that there were so many fragrances I thought I would love but then were not for me once I got a sample. Eg. Delina- I hate the sour note, Lancome Oud Bouquet- I hate oud, Dior Addict- it nearly made me sick. Also I blind bought Sofia by Sofia Vergara and although I don’t hate it , I am not a fan of the plum note so will pass it on

My sister worked at a vets office and she wasn't allowed any perfume or scented lotions at all cause animals have a strong sense of smell and it really bothers them plus it's harmful for them to breathe it in.

Usally im really frustrated with blind buying, im on the hunt for my new fave summer, fruity, woody, sexy deep niche fragrance, or a great designer with beast mode performance, firstly i bought Sunset Hours from Goldfield and Banks, it smells very close to what i want, but the performance is baaaah, than i bought JHAG Lust for Sun and thats horrible, mainly white florals and just smells like a laundry white floral so a NO for me, and yesterday i got Mancera Holidays, thought that one is described by so many as a TF Soleil Blanc dupe, mixed with Olympea by PR, but its straight up Monoi oil smelling with very salty facets, maybe will keep it for layering with some fruity, citrusy fruity fragrances, but not what i expected and wanted, all in 1 week and now im frustrated and will let that go ax long as i can....xD
I have womananity also and I add kayali vanilla to it get alittle better.but it's not something I reach for.one of my worst blind buys also.

I love to blindbuy pretty often and my worst one is propably lancome midnight rose. Really thought it would be a thick sweet rasberry rose patchouli scent.. But it was just a tart and smelled very much of that cassis and cedar on me, smelled like pencilshavings. So bad :(
If I blind buy, I make sure that it can be returned. I got a lot of fakes and usually they all smell like roach spray.
i’ve learned the notes/combos i tend to like, so blind buying has become a lot easier, but i’ve found that the ones that i end up really falling in love with are always ones i randomly smell in store lol

@@lindamayer4697 i blind bought fracas by robert piguet bc i love jasmine and tuberose, ending up loving it. randomly smelled tiffany rose gold when i worked in fragrances and it’s the only bottle of perfume i’ve ever fully gone through.
@Nico-ei9zj wow, that's fascinating. I've got to start smelling some random perfumes. I would think to buy fracas but would never think to smell a Tiffany's fragrance for some reason. However, I came across the Tiffany rose online today when I was looking for a rose fragrance. Maybe I'll sniff that one next time I'm out.
I couldn't find petit robe noire eau fraiche but I blind bought petit robe noire perfecto eau florale and I like it alot. I got a sample of Cuir de nuit in my yves order and I thanked God that i didn't blind buy it because yuck! Instant Crush is still growing on me...
I feel bad about the money spend blind buying but it’s so fun and it’s so hard DK really test fragrances without having a hefty sample or the bottle. Sometimes I swear off of it but other rules I really lean in. Right not i am into a lens in phase snd just blind bought 3 perfumes - Armani So intense, yes I am by Cacharel, and Bvlgari (the new one in the rainbow Corel’s). Truthfully I really like all of them so success. I’ve but LPRN fraiche and Rose Extase on my list after this video.
Soir de Lune is my favorite perfume at the moment so I thought I'd try another Sisley creation--Soir de L'orient. Let's just say I'm glad I bought the travel spray because it smells like insect repellant on me. I almost suspected they played a trick on me and sent a sample of OFF! the bug spray.
For better or worse I almost exclusively blind buy these days. 😬But honestly I kind of prefer it that way - it's lets me really wear test things I otherwise would NEVER give a chance at first sniff. I've found so many unexpected favorites that way; "mehs" or "hates" turned to loves from giving them good fat wears.
OMG Gucci Rush will always be one of my faves. Ol’ school and so different! So sexy, so trashy & so hot all at once and it sure attracts the men (good & bad). Sorry but it does 🤷🏽♀️ lol
A very large portion of my collection was blind buys. Thankfully most of them were varying degrees of successful. My most recent successful blind buy was Amouage Sunshine. A disappointment was Laura Mercier Vanille Gourmand. I should have looked at the notes a bit more closely. Sandalwood and I have a very iffy relationship. This is one of those times we are on the outs.

Womanity…… yeah, I have a 2.7 oz bottle of that… I was so shocked when I first smelt it because it reminded me of cheap cologne right off the bat. I do use it in the summer when it’s super hot as my “summer camp” and “going to the pool” perfume (along with beachy scented lotions).
De ja vu white flower is a dupe for the original juicy returned de ja vu.

It doesn't really smell like Juicy fruit, there's just a tiny mild resemblance in the type of sweetness
