24:06 Ginawa ko din tong strategy ko sa Portfolio ko 80% Core (Index Fund) 10% Satellite Alpha Fund - (2nd and 3rd Liner Stocks) 10% Cash. So far so good, buti na tackle dito yan. Dapat matuto iba mag ganyan para risk management din then rebalance pag nasira percentage.

Hi Sir Omeng, hope you would answer this. I’m just a beginner and have opened and funded 9k on my COL account. I’m just not sure where to invest first, should I invest first on MF before buying other stocks so I could follow the 8k rule. Or should I buy stocks first following the 8k rule then I’ll just invest on MF next month. I’m planning to invest 9k per month for the mean time. Thank you!
depends on what you wanna do. mutual funds has minimum holding period. You may start with stocks with small amount.

Kasi ang balak ko, ibebenta ko lang sya once na ma-meet nya yung desired amount ko (as a long term investor).

that is paper loss. You could wait na magrecover para mabawi ang paper loss and turn it into gain.
the problem is when it will recover. If you have longer time horizon then you could wait for that recovery time.

If you are starting with small funds you can do it monthly. Say 80% of your monthly funds will be allocated to a mutual fund, the rest can be used to buy high-conviction stocks.

not really 100% wiped-out but imagine losing 80-90% of the value of your investment (or more), that's possible if magtuloy-tuloy ang pagbaba ng stocks.

sir for example, bumibili ako ng stocks continuously sa trusted company like jollibee tapos hindi ako nagbebenta. assuming na tumataas yung value ng stocks sa jfc over long period of time like 10 to 20 yrs, okay lang ba yung ganon sir? tapos tsaka ko lang ibenta? efficient na move ba yon or hindi? thank you sir!

advantage: no need to background check (technical & fundamental analysis) ung mga companies .. may professional fund manager, pooled funds ( All your capital will be divided by percentage depending on the type of mutual fund you avail, example: Atram Oppurtunity Fund may 16% Fund allocation kay Converge, 12% kay SM Prime Holdings, etc.), For busy person
Disadvantage: does have fees like management fees (annual naman to), Holding period (for some mutual funds), Redeem period/amount (If you withdraw under sa holding period nya, this will apply)

it forms part of your estate so may process sya na need gawin ng family. They can still get it but have to process it.

that's possible but again there's risk too... and no guarantee that your investment will gain in the short term.

yes you have the option to hold. Basta good fundamentals and mamaitain ng company iyon, it will most likely recover from a dip or crash.
