May I ask in regards with my share of stocks in Pldt which is 180 at 10per share certificate was issued lst July 1999 since then I haven't received any dividends or whatsoever profit from it. I inquire re the status they mentioned that I have to signed and surrender the certificate of stocks to their office for me to receive the equivalent dividend but they mentioned that no dividends since 2012. Is it correct for me to surrender my stock certificate wherein it started there that in time is transferring, assigning, selling that's the time I need to sign and the certificate for this purpose. As they mentioned the accrued dividends is around 3600 is there any possible I can do I don't like to surrender the certificate of stocks they said it's good untill January 29, 2022 so I have to surrender.
What kind of stocks is it? Common shares normally have no expiration.

the thing is, if its a cash basis dividend, if youre playing the 1 month dividend game, problem is that you still need to buy and sell your stock, which will probably will be like this

COMMON stocks ang nabibili sa Phil Stock Exchange (PSE), so yon lang ang possible sa iyo when you buy and sell stocks sa PSE.
hi, can i ask po just to be clear, if bbili ako ng stocks sa specific company na nagbbgay ng dividends a day before ex date then after 2days gusto ko na sya ibenta will i still get the dividends o i have to keep the stocks with me until payment date’s arrived pra entitled ako sa dividends
no need to keep until the payment date.
even if you sell on Ex-date or after, you will be still eligible to receive dividends.
Reason is market price adjusts (goes lower) with the "release" of dividends.

Normally macredit lang sa account balance ni owner all dividends na eligible sya.
@@OmengTawid what I mean is for example nag invest ako kay XYZ company sa COL financial. Tapos na-delisted na sya kaso di ako nakapag basa ng email nila na informing na made-delist. Ano mangyayari sa ininvest ko kay XYZ company?
@@chazelnayps you are still stockholder nila, but you need to contact their investor relations department because you will no longer be able to sell it online since it already got delisted.

Yes as long as you have it in your portfolio before new ex date of the new declaration, you will receive it. no need to buy new. Your existing shares will let you earn dividend moving forward.

Yes, but kung meron kanang 1000 shares and you bought another 1000 pero hindi ka umabot dun sa "new ex date" yung old 1000 na shares lang ang eligible sayo.
