- Опубліковано 16 чер 2024
- Snow Painting for my Patreon Painting Project (PPP!) for February. Every month we have a new subject to paint in watercolor and some Patreon Members then paint the scene and submit to me for a video critique with extra tips for improvement. February 2020 we had a vote on some snow pictures and here I paint the scene which had the highest number of votes. So a snowy scene in watercolor. Patreon members ( / timwilmot ) will have full access to:
1) Source Photo
2) High Res image of my end painting
3) Chat and Q & A
4) Depending on Patreon Tier, you get a critique from me!
Would you like to paint scenes like this? If you join up at my Patreon site, in return for a small donation or pledge, I will give you a personal critique based on the regular projects I set with extra tips just for you! For more information, please go to

Thanks Dorothy for watching
Nice winter scene you create Tim, with a lot of sun and well defined shadows from the trees. I like that blue very much in combination with the yellow. It invites you to go for a walk.
Thanks Ingo
Finally determined your distinctive style, part of it, anyway, it’s the pointy brush work, always there in your work. Awesome.
Thank you very much!
Wow! so amazing as always!
Thank you
Oh my...I just found you and I so love your work. I painted years ago and was successful , I am now 78 and have started up again. Amazed at what is available on line. I studied with Andrew Wyeth in Maine, this painting reminds me of walking my dogs in Maine. Thank you. I went to your patreon to sign up but the one I wanted was sold out .
Hi Carole - Wow - Andrew Wyeth. You studied with the best. On Patreon why not join on the $2 level and place might be available soon higher up? Thanks again!

Dear Tim . Loved watching you develop the snow scene and learned a lot.mWas wondering if you could tell me what type of brush you used for the bulk of the painting - looks like you use it for larger wash areas and finer work too. Maybe you could let me know where to buy it as well. Gord from Ontario Canada
I used a Jacksons squirrel mop brush. But there are many similar manufacturers. In your location maybe blicks do them or isabey?
