New York City 21:9 8k HDR // Relaxation Film

- The video shows the city in one of its less frenetic times of the year - around Christmas - but this city never sleeps. 4k, 8k, HDR … technology is developing rapidly - and so is time lapse and timelapse production. Which city could better fit as a place for that technical demo, if not Big Apple - New York 4k.

Enjoy our first technical preview of a series of ultra high definition clips in more than 4k HDR. Your TV set has to support 4k HDR and the UA-cam App on it must support HDR-delivery. At the moment the best way is Googles Chromecast Ultra.
This 8k timelapse was produced with cameras with more than 42 Megapixels and enough dynamic range to produce REAL High Dynamic Range - HDR - footage.
The next journey already started (oh, to be honest, it started a year ago and is now in postproduction …) and we will come back soon with another 8k HDR adventure.
Thanks for the fantastic soundtrack and mix to Kriz Mental for this 8K / 4K / UHD timelapse. Thanks to Alex for the title design and for polishing the graphics for this time lapse again. Thanks to Stef for her support to realize this New York 4k timelapse.
Many thanks to all of you for supporting this project - not with money - but for building such great hard- and software! Thanks to @emotimo and @dynamicperception for your great time-lapse tools and especially LR Timelapse for postproduction. Final editing with Adobe Premiere Pro and 8k HDR Grading with Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve. Title design with Adobe After Effects.

I know that the blood , sweat , tears and hopes of unknown and famous people are woven layer by layer into New York city .
This is the root of my admiration and respect for New York .
From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
I have lived in this magnificient city for 28 years and since I came the first time I fell in love with it and ever since I don't trade it with anything else. New York City is the most beautiful citybin the world.
Zarate William citybin? Lol! Must be trashy. ;)
Did you meet the how i met your mother actors? :D
I love you..New York!! 🤩🇰🇷🇺🇸
I didn't even know You Tube could display HDR.... Nice. My Samsung display is showing the 4K and HDR stamp. My first time seeing a HDR video on UA-cam.
Yes, firmware update in late November added support for VP9 profile 2. "The HDR Channel" has lots of clips you'll like.
New York is an incredible city. When you walk into the city, it's like you experience the pulses of greatest humans achievements ! This city is an ode to humanity and progress

Watching on my LG34GN850 (1440x3440) in 10-bit 21:9 ultrawide screen... looks incredible. Who needs 4K 16:9...
Lubeszki and Inarritu... What are you both waiting to make a movie with this HDR 4k? It would win an Oscar so easily!
This vid is truly fantastic, genuinely fun to look.
Great Timelapse with nice Details... i really enjoyed it ;) *Thumbs Up*
Much better than any Michael Bay's photography in movies!

100 years after the humans in this video won't be there but the buildings and the roads will be there always. At the end your video have taught me this. Keep it up!
Let's see how it turns out after democratic administration! Maybe they won't last that long after all.

OMG the bridge! How she moves if a metro drives through.
Crazy isn’t it?
This is epic
thank you so much for your feedback!
I'll go to NYC on July, but I can't wait
It was brilliant!
Wonderful video!😍
This Video is so nice
You can shoot dubai
Simply amazing
Gorgeous
Thanks!
2160 HDR İS JUST AWSOME WTF
Merry Christmas😄🎄🎁❄🎅..to everyone👤
Cool!
very beautiful :)
I tested HDR out with 2 iPads. A third gen iPad and a 10.5 iPad Pro running side by side. This video, running on both iPads, show similar non-HDR color since HDR is not supported on iOS UA-cam. However, when I compared this video running on iPad third gen vs. the same video on Vimeo, which supports HDR on Safari + iPad Pro 10.5, I did see a big difference.
Aqui a imagem fica escura, mesmo com HDR ligado.
Very impressive! Thanks so much for sharing!
watching it at 144p and it's still crisp
:)
This is amazing. Well done! Greetings from Brazil =]
Wau very nice, very beautiful city;)
Absolutely serene! ❤️
Can you share the music details?
it's a special composition of Kriz Mental homecookin.de
Yellow taxis, statue of liberty, the buildings, Christmas in New York, the bus with the American drap, it's an Amercian city, a metropole with the half of Amerique.
8K! Waaaooo...! :D
My retina has been removed
soo butyfull
See a good city
i'll work hard study hard! and go to NYC PEOPLE!
Great video however many of the shots are older. When was this filmed?
the best way to stress test any CPU outside of any game.
1:01 The one wtc looks soooooo talllllll 0-0
What camera did you use to capture those beautiful images?
incredible!
Not HDR. UA-cam says it is, but it doesn't actually play in HDR.
at 8K using 27-30% of Ryzen CPU
Thats amazing how technoloy goes on.
3 yeats ago i thought nothing could take place for my 2013 i7 4790k on 4Ghz.
But this video shows me, ryzen can.
Just realizing you comment is 2 years old.
How time flies by.
England is my city.
hello.my name is atsushi.
I'm singersongwriter in japan.
now I think I wanna make new music video.becaurse new song was born.
can I use this video.only video.
I wanna use the movie of New York City in winter.
I wanna make music video by this movie.
thank.
Is the video mastered for 10,000 nits?
Because it's very dimm if I watch it in HDR on my Samsung QLED. Without HDR it's fine.
No it is mastered for 1000 nits. I have heard that it is not working correctly everywhere - which seems to be a UA-cam thing ... sorry!
2:03 watch closely and you can see very tiny people walking at one world obsavation deck
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!USA!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Does the bridge move? 2:37 minutes
Khaynan Tutoriais 2(
o.o
All bridges are designed to move a little in order to resist loads
My Vizio TV receives this in HDR10 from this video, but only @1080P and my PC (normal desktop) only displays 1080P as an option... What gives?
Yeah, you're right... Thanks! I was using Firefox (hate it) instead of Opera (love it) and Opera shows the full 4320P... Nice! Time to uninstall Firefox!
what camera the you use?
Would be better if not timelapse
you use sony a7siii ?
Do you see this video well? It's not at all clear to me. It looks cloudy. Is it a monitor problem?
Yeah its fine - some have problems because its HDR and UA-cam seems to be having trouble with SDR and HDR delivery
Interesting Fact for CPU Consumption (On my i7-6700HQ Laptop):
1080p: 10% cpu
4K: 25% cpu
8K: 60% cpu
1080p x16 = 4320p..... oh my...
Asking for permission from the owner of the clip. I'm very suspicious of making 8K videos. What pixel size does 21:9 need? (For example, 16:9 uses a pixel size of 7680 × 4320p, what size does 8K 21:9 need?)
21:9 equivalent would be 7680×3200.
People, who plays Planet Coaster ... Think about it
I have a hdr capable TV but playing this video on my TV does not show that it's hdr. When I use my 4k player it does say hdr10. Any ideas? And yes my internet is fast, my speeds are 250 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up
3motion_tv good question, I assumed that it would be because it is a hdr capable TV. So I guess the internal UA-cam cast isn't. But it's internal Netflix app is. I was watching the new Will Smith movie and it looked awesome. My TV displayed dolby video of something like that. Should I get the Chromecast? Would that give me hdr
I just bought the Nvidia shield on Amazon and I think that should work once I get it. Looking forward to seeing your videos on hdr. Thank you
0:43 Uh, that is some black smoke... What is it?
I think it’s from oil heating of the Standard Oil Building - they seem to have no filters ...
Hello, can I use your images in a nonprofit short film?
Sorry, Write me a mail and we will talk about that.
Doesn't work on HDR400 monitor :< Too dark.
The video is working correctly.
@@ronald_soethje I had to change my browser to MS Edge to run it properly. Didn't work on Chrome :)
Gotham city timelapes.
Truly spectacular. Do I like HDR footage? Definitely, as we can see a lot of details. But still...this is unnatural vision. Our own eyes can't see like this. HDR videos, although amazing, are the equivalent of Photoshop for (static) pictures or Auto-tune for singer's voices.
Our eyes can actually see way beyond the dynamic range and color space shown in HDR and 4k media. Most experts believe the average person can perceive around 12-14stops of dynamic range in one view, but with our pupils dynamically adjusting and our brains processing what we see humans can perceive somewhere closer to 24 stops of dynamic range. Most HDR content needs about 12 stops of dynamic range to meet minimum spec and around 18 stops for 100% of HDR 10 (which no TV does currently). Rec2020, the color space used in HDR video is also still not close to the displaying the full visible spectrum of light. These videos are also purposely shot and graded to give the maximum dynamic range per scene and do not reflect accurately the light levels and color space of the original capture.
You're seriously comparing auto-tune to HDR?
which camera did you use?
It looks amazing but my new MacBook doesn't support 8k.
I'd like to use a clip in a tv show. would you mind? I can put you in the credits.
Hi
fucking unbelievable :)
nice video but my 1M internet is struggling
50 press down button cause they cant see it in 8k lol
This video would look even better if the twin towers were in Lower Manhattan.
Well said..My dad worked on that bld..Iron workers local 361
This time lapse is NOT HDR.
The term HDR (high dynamic range) means that multiple photos are taken at a range of exposures. For example three photos - one underexposed, one properly exposed, one overexposed. These photos are then combined into a single HDR 32 bit image that has greater dynamic range than can be achieved from any single photo.
This time lapse is composed of regular photos. It is not HDR.
8k but not 60 fps ...
mORDOR, вот откуда все наши беди идут. Пропаганда, дезинформация, колонизация, експлоатация - список не имеет конца.
Hopefully it colonizes Russia soon so that Russians can live better
cpu 18% 8K
