Bet there is a way to temporary put them on the roof with some sort of latch and hook system to hold them down until your others come in. Then possible making a swing out canopy type on the side but using solar panels instead of canvas covering. so when you want to a little sit down shade area you open it up and can charge at the same time. just a thought,
That's an idea I'm playing around with! A good way to use them and swing them out for shade, but somehow collecting solar when going down the road too.
Be interesting to see how a full array of those panels work!

I know you want to get rid of the gen and thats good but the low output of the gen would be good for topping off that power station. Also getting a 12v power outlet would be good. That could also replace the gen if have a low sun day.
Those would be good for the ebikes. Lightweight, more range.

Hey Joel, wouldn't it be possible to also run a line from your alternator to a DC to DC box to speed up the charging of the battery. Its much faster than a 12 volt cigarette lighter output. This way, as you drive or idle, your charging as well.
Yep, there are DC to DC converters, but I'm considering options that are much cheaper, considering these run $100+, I'm excited to show that off when I have a solid plan.
After making so much use of the generator, do you plan to return it for a full refund? That's some very cheap rental :) Anyway, panels looks great.
Yeah, three full genny tanks has been pretty great for us! If there was a quieter 3500 with slightly smaller dimensions, that would have absolutely been the way to go! Live and learn. And they seem awesome!
