I love you Cardinal Arinze, as much as I love Pope Benedict! I hope you will succeed our present Pope in the years to come you are exactly like Pope Benedict!!

I prefer to kneel for communion but it'd be such a spectacle now. No one else does it. Also, a lot less priests and my sister went home with a communion host in her pocketbook when she was younger. eh no one cares anymore.

@dialyt55 I'm glad Pope Benedict isn't the last Traditionalist in the Vatican! To bad our Church isn't a democracy...=( Well, hopefully the Holy Spirit will be moved by our prayers to select Cardinal Arinze...that's how Catholics "vote" lol

I sincerely wish that this statement would be enforced more strongly in the area in which I live. To much of the Mass is almost Protestant and I prefer to kneel receiving the body of our Lord but am not made to feel that it is possible.

... then we wonder why the Church is in the state it's in. I recall when I was younger I would often love sneaking the body of Christ during communion back to my pew and then receiving it later when I felt like, I could have easily walked out with it. Today when I look back I think to myself, that was madness! I try encouraging priest to give it in the mouth but they think you to be fanatical.

I think the altar servers in my parish need better training

I am curious about how many time one can receive Holy Communion in a day. If we go to three Mass in a day (usually happens during Christmas with midnight, dawn, and day Mass), can we receive Communion on all those three Masses?
I know traditionally we should only receive twice, but is there any new rules regarding that?

ncc74205Defiant Yes, the maximum number of times one can receive communion within a day is 2x.
