Ha ha. Shredder jams. Man starts pulling it apart. Woman goes for the instruction manual. A scene played out around the world from the beginning of time. I know we have played that game lots and lots of times over the years! All the best.
I'm absolutely amazed how you can do so much work in the time. It's just incredible to watch y'all even with the way the video is so fast! I really enjoy all y'all have do with such vigor and antisipation. Everything is taking a beautiful shape in the yards! Will keep watching!
The energy to create that shredder and the electricity to run it i would bet were just as harmful for the environment. Its a toss up. Best to find a hole and let it compost with nature.
Had the same problem and solution - in the end went for a 6.5hp petrol mulcher which works a treat and is a lot faster. Would have gone for the 15hp one but getting it down our 124 steps would have been a problem (no other access). The one I have will do up to 80mm branches into mulch.
Greetings from the Texas Hill country. I am a retired home builder. I have watched ever episode from day 1, and I am really impressed with you and your wife's skill. But I have a question that is going sound silly. You and your wife were enjoying a beer at the end of the episode, and you mentioned it was the best beer in Belgium. I didn't hear the name of the beer. Any chance of you telling me the name again.?
Better look at the green one from Bosch, it really shreds and has been in use here for 7 years. The Makita throws out more whole branches than it shreds.
hadden mss beter een hakselaar op benzine gehuurd die malen takken tot 8 cm dik fijn en kan dit nog gebuiken om tussen planten in tuin te strooien om zo onkruid tegen te houden .
This looks like a big job. Soon you'll be able to get into the farmhouse! Did you get much land with the house or had that all been sold in the ten years since the farmhouse was lived in?
That's was exactly my feeling when I started to work with this machine (it was one of our first ad-hoc tool purchases). But we aren't aiming to do all the trees asap, we are doing it whenever we have some free time, at our own pace. And since we don't have a lot of such wildly grown trees anymore, this machine is good enough for the job. For the bigger projects or professional use, it is indeed too small.
@@JupeAma did some helicopter flying all around Europe more then ten years ago.. you could smell people are burning material 15 kilometres away and guess which country you are... and not always burning plant material.

Indeed! But we keep giving men a chance to try it out 😁 and it turns out to be a successful symbiosis.
i know Im kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
Most fun was the cat exploring the surroundings, the Hibiscus tree was obviously claimed, he/she was scratching on it.
Just subscribed, really enjoying the videos. It's fun to try and see when that black cat shows up to supervise :)
You have a superb & friendly neighbor supervisor.
Nice to see the cat is keeping a beady eye on its humans..🤣
I’ve never seen a shredder quite that small before. It would be very useful for a smaller garden.
Oh, wow! Someone who reads the instructions first!
I love the smell of fresh branches shredding. 😌

That is some serious dedication; I would have just lit a match. Though probably not as eco-friendly.
Yeah, but way funner!

Shredders are fun, I can do it all day and see whole things disappear to come out into small pieces.
love that cat
Cool chipper, great for mulch and garden😊🆒🌻
Good work and then can be spread under trees and bushes.

Yeah, a new "toy"🤣
Making your own mulch👩🌾👍
Found you from Farmhouse Vernacular
Кот класснючий) и вы умнички❤️ верю в вас, у вас все получится... ну а мы приедем на все готовенькое 😂🙈

Nice house

Lijepo je vidjeti da se brinete za okoliš
Nice...👍.
Piękny dom, kibicuję Wam podczas tego remontu. Pozdrowienia z Polski 👍
Good job./ Goed werk.
Cat sits next to the small tree next to the road, clearly, it has been claimed.
that's great, better than my little electric shredder, must look at Makita one
Better look at the green one from Bosch, it really shreds and has been in use here for 7 years. The Makita throws out more whole branches than it shreds.
A very handy little machine; but I kept worrying the cat would try to jump up onto it ... that would be bad.
Please unplug that thing before you stick your hand in it!

I just subscribed love watching you restore it. How much land do you have with the farm?
У меня вопрос-а куда вы используете опилки?
👍
hi .... just bought one but i find the handle doesnt go all the way up when i put the bin in ? any ideas anyone ?
I think you need a "Weidemann"!!
Your chipper looks like a pain in the behind.
Is that your black cat with the white mittens? I see it in your videos...
It neighbors’ cat. Inspecting our progress 😂
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm Quality control is important! It's fortunate the inspector is such a sweet social creature.
As I was watching this all I could think was...Multch...compost...
It looks like you better had hired a more substanciale shredder. This machine is far to light for the amount of wood you have to shred

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳💞💞💞💞💞👍👍👍👍👍
Hi the machine is going for sale lol
@5:53-6:23 : WHO IS THAT WOMAN BLOCKING MY VIEW !!! 🤣🙄
the only one who didnt work was the cat... as always...
Not gonna lie, this tool looks like a pure disappointment... but you've muddled through it all!
PLEASE unplug before you take it apart...
Why not burn the stuff? Quicker and simpler.
You can't do that in most of Europe its even illegal to do that 😂
@@quintdewit4870 not in all places. You can burn things in Portugal in some months.
@@JupeAma i need to move to Portugal then 😂

shredders, so frustrating
So the morale of the story don’t buy a makita shredder.
Instead of cheesy music, you could be describing the thing & conveying useful information about it, oh & letting us hear how it sounds🙄
Ridiculous
Yes, looks like the reviews on that Makita were pretty much correct.
Better look elsewhere.
hahaha worst shredder machine i have ever seen.
