I’m 19 years old currently in a program to get my GED since I dropped out my sophomore year. I’m getting kicked out of my house and will have no where to go in two months. The military is my only option and I’m extremely determined to make it. Wish me luck y’all!!
@@mareai1412 you should train on cardio for sure, and work yourself where you can do about 40 push ups nonstop. Although, No matter how much you train it'll never prepare you for boot because you've never been through it and you can't prepare yourself for something you Dont know is coming. But boot is easy, I had fun. Embrace the suck, and make good bonds. It's not that bad, trust me. Best decision I made. The weeks fly by
My son just arrived at boot camp last night. We are proud of him but sure miss him and wish we knew what he was up to besides being hungry and sleepy. Lol
I soon sign my contract I’m a little nervous but I’m ready to do this. A new year and I’m ready to really rebuild a newer me, when it comes to women? I’m good got way to many at this point i do not need anymore headaches I’m just here to focus and get what I need to get
I have two more weeks until i leave to Boot. Btw, you said eveything I needed to hear about going. I heard what I needed to hear (if that makes sense). Did you choose to get stationed @ Norfolk, Va?
@@OneGuyIKnowYour first week there, you won’t do any PT because they have to make sure you get all of your vaccinations, dental, medical evaluations, fitted for glasses, etc. You will need to do a certain amount of push ups within the next couple of weeks because you’ll have the initial PFT. Which includes push-ups, you can choose between sit ups or planks, then you have something called the “pacer” test where you run back and forth from one point to another. Make sure you know how to swim. I was shocked at the amount of recruits who couldn’t swim. Like, what branch did you think you were joking? This may sound odd, but trust me when I say it, learn how to correctly tie the laces on your issued boots. You need to tie them a certain way, so they are as tight as possible. I made this mistake. Because of how the boots are made, the leather will rub against your feet. It’s like taking sand paper to your feet. Brutal. My first day wearing them I had no skin left on my feet. My feet are still messed up to this day. Some will say to get moleskin or double wear your socks. I tried both and none worked for me. Next, learn how to fold/place your items inside of your rack (bed) It sounds simple but everything has to be in a specific manner otherwise you’ll fail the inspection. Obviously learn your rank and recognitions/chain of command. There will be a lot of downtime where you will study your manual. You will also have watch (security, rover, quarterdeck-depending on your location) I would say that you will need to learn how to do push ups, at least be able to do 45 - 50 and be able to run. The PTs are not bad. The division runs you’ll get use to. Just don’t do stupid shit while you’re there. Don’t talk during taps (lights out) either. The marching cadences are pretty cool. It’s not difficult. A lot of very long hours. But you get use to it. Lastly, get some sleep before you get there. I mean it. The moment you get there, you will not be able to sleep for 2 days straight. Do what your told and you’ll be fine. Best of luck, Bro! 🇺🇸⚓️💪
Let me ask you this I had a friend who went into the national guard she was able to keep her phone there and was able to call and send texts every other Sunday is navy boot the same or is it just letters? I understand it’s different branches plan on joining within the next 2-3 months before my sons born
I think both. Waiting for my meps ATM. I was told the one at boot camp matters the most. They won't pay you and you need to find a way home from Chicago. I'm a 20 year smoker. 37 this year. It's easy to quit. I haven't smoked in 2 weeks. My running has improved so much.

Hey does the navy provide earplugs for the swim test? I can swim good but my ear canal fills up with water and it’s too much pressure

I heard the run is rough, ppl say it’s hard to breath in the gym u run at..that’s true?
Your running test is 1.5 miles , I didn’t have a rough time doing it because I practiced running that before bootcamp to prep
@@codrebluexrhow ? On the tread mill but what setting and speed ? 5.0? Or maximum 10?
Bro if u were in 219 this year while i was at 284 we had to be at RTC at the same time lol
I joined this summer in June so probably
Your coming in boot camp as E-3 can you still rank up
No that’s the highest you can go, I know because I joined as a e-3
Can I take my ashwaganda and magnesium to boot camp?
Wait a min the navy
how often they ask those general orders? also do they often as the RTC chain of command too?
A lot and you will be test on them
What Happens if i don’t know how to push ups in boot camp?
It’s okay they will teach lmao
How old do you need to be to join? Im 25 going on 26 in December.
