- If it comes to water sports, the Canaries are the ultimate destination in Europe. The islands Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria are on the top of the list for windsurfers and kiters as the wind usually blows on a regular base.
But what about Wing Foiling? Our team with Nia Suardiaz, Jerome Cloetens and Wesley Brito wanted to check it out and hooked up with Fuerte local Julia Castro to shoot the new Slick!

Believe it or not, we shot most of the content on 10-12 knots of wind. Lucky we had such cool filmmakers and some Dlabs that the video ended up looking great :D
No way, you can clearly see the wind on the water that its more then 12 knots. Also the gran canaria part is way more then 20 knots. Only the evening shot on Gran Canaria @ 02:28 looks like 10-12 knots.
Super cool!! What size are your wings, my slick is 6.0, will it be too big for such jumps, I'm 79 kg/180cm?
Hi there, 6.0 is no problem to jump, in fact the bigger wings give a pretty nice lift for jumping, vs smaller wings -but you need to be a bit quicker during rotations to avoid catching the tips.
Awesome! I've been cruising for the whole summer, hope to start with the jumps as the wind gets stronger in the autumn. Thanks for the reply, this video is super inspiring and there are some godly landings!!
