    Is it throwback Tuesday? This looks like it's from the 90's. Joe's voice sounds great on this. He's an underrated vocalist.

    Joe is obviously a ridiculously talented guitarist, but whoever is responsible for tossing out this rhythm section, back when Sloe Gin was released, chopped his musical cojones off!! Anton Fig and Michael Rhodes are great musicians, but THIS simple group had 'fire!' Eric Czar, in particular, stood in the background and DROVE this band, and Joe, to musical heights we have seldom seen since....IMHO. I saw this group in a small venue, in Charleston, SC, over ten years ago...and they simply blew me away! Since then, I have seen Joe's newer ensembles, and Black Country Communion. While BCC is possibly the best new thing since Led Zeppelin, the combination of Joe, Kenny Kramme, and Eric Czar was a bit of musical magic that musicians hope and pray for....and I've been a bass player for over fifty years!! Whoever made the change...shame on you! I would dearly love to see a reunion of THIS group!

      That's what I suspected/was afraid of! Brilliant producer, but a bit megalomaniacal!! The man thinks that his 'vision' for an artist is the only possible route...to anywhere! No doubt that Joe has enjoyed much more commercial success since working with KS, but at what cost?

    Oh my baby,
    It's been a long time comin' yeah yeah,
    I'm on my back home to you.
    Oh, This time I stepped up to plate yeah,
    I didn't mean to do you no harm baby.
    Situations change yeah yeah,
    I make amends because I'm strong.
    All my friend have helped me,
    I know where I belong.
    I declare,
    I've been alone without you too long.
    If I call will you be there?
    Oh next time I'll make no mistakes yeah,
    I won't leave you like I did before baby.
    Situations change yeah yeah,
    I make amends because I'm strong.
    All my friend have helped me,
    I know where I belong.
    [Lead Break]
    Oh baby you,
    You knew I was long gone,
    But did you ever once shed a tear?
    Oh your life is like a prison baby yeah yeah,
    I never meant to waste your precious time.
    Situations change yeah yeah,
    I make amends because I'm strong.
    All my friend have helped me,
    I know where I belong.

    I really don't understand why he didn't become more of a household name back in these days. He can play, and sing, and has passion. Why some others, who I will not mention, were able to 'make it' bigger and quicker than JB is hard to understand. I mean if he got hooked up with a producer that could provide a bit more danger, edge, fire, and mass appeal to his songs he easily could have been more well known sooner. Perhaps even taking the torch from SRV (I'm not saying he sounds exactly like him) and alike!

    Maybe just biased because I'm a strat guy but I love Joe's tone with a strat over a Gibson but that's just me... seems like most people like the Gibson sound. I think playing a strat you seem to dig harder to get that sound, it can make you a better player. But like I said it's one opinion... just sayin!!

    No offense to the drummer but when you have talents like Joe and Eric on the stage it's not a good time to solo.

    • @RollYourRock
      @RollYourRock 6 років тому

      Nothing wrong with a short drum solo, but not a 3+ minute f'n drum concert. Geez...

    • @rhagedorn
      @rhagedorn 6 років тому +4

      I agree. I wish Eric would play with Joe permanently because he brings out the best in him. Their Rockpalast concert in Germany about a decade ago was incredible.

    • @rhagedorn
      @rhagedorn 6 років тому

      +Erasmo Coco I know but I kind of wish the song had ended before the drum solo. The drummer was good and it was Joe's decision but if, for example, you went to an Eric Clapton concert, would you want to listen to a drummer play that long?

    Yes, a reunion of three minus the cheesy girls pandering to the lowest common denominator.
