  • 2025 Ford Ranger Tremor Unveiled - The Off-Road King is Here!
The 2025 Ford Ranger line-up is expanding in Australia with the exciting new Tremor variant, designed to take your adventures to the next level.
Government documents reveal that Ford is set to launch the dual-cab Ranger Tremor, equipped with a powerful 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine and robust four-wheel drive. This will be the ninth trim grade - or the 23rd combination of equipment, body style, engine, transmission, and drive layout - in the line-up for Australia's top-selling vehicle last year.
While specific details for the Australian market are still under wraps, the Ranger Tremor is expected to match the features available in New Zealand. It will enhance the mid-range Sport variant with off-road equipment and styling, while still being more affordable than the top-tier Raptor.
In Europe and the UK, Tremor variants are based on entry-level models, but in Australia, it's built on a more premium Sport trim. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but if New Zealand's pricing is any indication, it may start around $68,000 plus on-road costs, slightly above the Sport bi-turbo's $66,140.
The Tremor in New Zealand follows a similar approach to the Nissan Navara Warrior, upgrading the Ranger Sport with 17-inch black alloy wheels, all-terrain tyres, and Bilstein dampers, which add ground clearance and a wider track. It also features a black honeycomb-patterned front grille with LED driving lights, a steel bash plate, underbody protection, front tow hooks, aluminum side steps, and a tubular sports bar.
Distinctive Boulder Grey highlights adorn the wheel-arch flares, bumper accents, mirror caps, and door handles, along with Tremor decals and badges. The Tremor offers black Ford oval emblems and exclusive Conquer Grey paint, as well as advanced off-road systems like Trail Turn Assist and Trail Control.
Inside, you'll find water-resistant black vinyl seats with grey stitching and orange Tremor embossing, vinyl flooring, grey and black interior accents, and roof-mounted auxiliary switches. The Tremor adopts the four-wheel-drive system from the bi-turbo Wildtrak X and V6 Ranger variants, allowing 4WD on sealed surfaces with an automatic mode.
Powered by the Wildtrak X's 2.0-litre bi-turbo engine, it delivers 150kW and 500Nm of torque, with Euro 6 emissions certification and a requirement for AdBlue diesel exhaust additive. It is also expected to offer the option to remove auto engine stop-start technology at no extra cost.
