I just performed the service on our new E60. I ordered the tool from your link and am now looking up the torgue spec. Thanks for posting!
Manual Impact drivers are a lifesaver for philips screws and allen heads. I use the heck out of my impact driver. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the tip/link on the impact driver. I noticed the first time I went to change the gear oil it was trying to strip. Brand new machine.
560 hours on my machine, I did change the oil at the recommended interval. Just walked out and noticed I have gear oil all over the ground. It's leaking from somewhere on the "inside" side. This should be fun...
Such a great tip to remove the plugs on the finals.I have to try that
I use air hammer with a small punch in center lite vibration and they come out easy .
Thanks!
Thank you!!
Good tips
I change mine every 200 hrs .. it’s cheap maintenance and really saves the wear on the final drive
Great tips. Must do. Only have transmission oil, for what reason I don't know. Is it the same as gear oil? Thanks.
I would like to schedule for you to come do the 100 hour service on my L85

Thanks for the reminder. Are those E42s pretty reliable?
Extremely reliable in my experience. Other than general maintenance I rarely do any major repairs.
@@tetradgroup thanks good to hear, hoping I can pull off a E42 or E50 this year. Gotta have goals!
is there anything you recommend to flush out the final drive? I bought a used T590 with 2500 hours and the oil was like honey coming out (and not much of it. oil cap is 2 oz) I refilled it and ran it while it was off the ground for a bit and change the oil a few times to clean it out.
Fill it with diesel fuel and run for a bit
You are doing the right thing. Just flush it with oil a few times and it should be fine. Good luck!
@@tetradgroup how often do you recommend on m series skid steers?
@@copenstrokin99 500 hours
3/8 or 1/2 impact driver which one is better for that?
How many ounces it it
My 2019 e45 only has 2 drain plugs on the final drives. Also the final drives are filled to the top with oil. Is that normal?
Some machines only have two and should not be full, just half way
@@tetradgroup hmm. i got the E45 with 500 hours on it. now has 1050 hours. never checked it until 1050 hours and it was full of clean oil. should i take half of it out or keep running it?
@@pigslayer106 I would rather have it half full or one quart per side. At 1000 hours it needs to be changed so drain and add 1 quart per side. The oil needs room for expansion and it will also pressurize as it heats and cools. If it doesn't have the room for expansion it could blow internal seals.
@@tetradgroup ok thanks for the advice. One other question: my T76 took grease in all the fittings except the two at the end of the tilt cylinders where they mount to bucket.
i took the fittings out and they are clean but when i put them back in, it still wont take grease. any ideas?
@@pigslayer106 I would pull the pins and make sure the bushing didn't spin in the rod end. With pin out see if you can get grease to flow through fitting.
