One of the most beautiful songs ever written
A song ahead of it's time. Production, arrangement and mixing sound as fresh as ever. Timeless
The best song Bryan Ferry never wrote.
I didn't know Bryan Ferry worte this song only the lead singer sounds like him my god
Pppppppppppppppppppp
Fantastic comment.
You 're damn right !👍
Then Mr Ferry did a follow up Its my life
Mysticism, darkness, light, hope, warmth, & a sound that sweeps you away to a distant world.... Little Girl is an absolute masterpiece of the 80s (!) the sound is not only timeless, it defines the infinite. When you drive into the twilight with this song in the car, the last few minutes of the sun's rays create an unreal light, you fall for it....Iva Davies, thank you for this song. Same goes for street cafe...
Beautiful comment 💌
masterpiece! and best produced version on the web!
For years i thought this sounded like Roxy Music, years later i get into Icehouse cos i hear this played and i am like OMG i love this, and see what a sexy and talented singer Iva Davies is, and the band play their instruments so well, amazing underated band
Always been one of my favourite tunes from the eighties.
Just heard this in thrift store, now I'm just obsessed, God I miss the freakin 80s
Who will listen in 2020?
Best Song Ever!

I realize Im kind of off topic but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released movies online?
@Byron Enzo Try FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
@Benton Sullivan yup, I've been watching on Flixzone for since march myself :)
@Benton Sullivan Thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!
80s were the years 🥳🕺💃
Just revisiting this song as I bought the original album in 83 I think and just heard it playing in a Dutch service station came on here to see the vid and recapture and not only a brilliant song but as a musician myself the production is amazing!!
They don’t make em like they used to 🤗
Timeless classic . ✨
Iva is a national treasure. A modern mystic and visionary. Love him❤️
Brilliant song, glad I found it again.
I work in a factory that's plays 80s music on the radio every day this never gets played anymore neglected classic track 😢 though there are lots
A timeless track with great lyrics . Listen to it often. Love it
Iva Davis still has that sparkle...Another great band from Oz...
Ich liebe diesen Song.❤️👍👍🇩🇪
I came from a modest home, but songs like this made me want to buy a synthesizer (I was about 10 then). Today I have many synths, not to "synthesize" anything, but to make these somewhat familiar but alien sounds!
Love Icehouse. Brilliant band. Amazing music!
Another class. 80s. Song
Roxy Music meets Japan with a sprinkling of Gary Numan mannerisms.
Plus some Bowie.
Don't stop the dance
oh no my friend ...just a better piece of magic dust that the three you speak off couldn't ever create, and neither could they repeat it themselves ...
skyhawk747 What's your name?
Spot on
I always loved that keyboard hook in the chorus.
Just been in local co op shop and this was playing, the young shop assistant was singing along n bobbing his head, timeless good song.
Bet they didn't realise it's from 1982.
Great Icehouse song….and so is their song ‘Icehouse’.
I've dreamt about Ira ever since I was 12 in 1977. He's gloriously talented, an amazing musician, and also gorgeous!
2019 and still dancing
Quality song..
The best ever from Down Under. Period!
Go Betweens
Here after listening to Guy Pratt's audiobook "My Bass and Other Animals". Highly recommended, a cracking listen!
Great band. Haven't heard this track for years. Happy times.
Would have been one of the greatest hits of ... David Bowie !!
What has happened 80s we miss you
One of the very best songs of all time.
Covid 2021. Still an amazing song.
Definitly a Roxy Music vibe to this.
Yep!
One of my all time 80’s favourites. I still use this in my Spinning classes 🚴♂️😅
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!
Marvellous 🤩
I thought when I heard this first back in the 80’s that it was Roxy Music of Japan.
Yes Iva Davies had it all, great looks voice, emotional intelligence and musical super talent.
The best!
More than timeless...
Baladinha sensacional. Coisa rara nos dias de hoje.
top of the pop my favorite show, many good bands seen on this show
Absolute quality. Love it.
Great song
Walked into a small club in North Beach, San Francisco in 1985 on the rumor Ice House was going to play there, my girlfriend and I found out it was no rumor, they were great.
Lisa Brown I cant imagine how magical that must have been
Excellent quality of a great, great song!
geweldige nummer
Iva Davies era uno de los hombres más guapos del planeta 😍
A one off ,this track never to be repeated. Music of the time . But never forgotten. Don’t you know
80s decade...was it the BEST...? 1000% for sure
I agree with you 100%.
MultiMrMiles I see you on ALL 80's music video's :)
Muy buen tema 🙌
Roxy Music, anyone? Good tune though 👍
When i this one the radio in 83 , l thought Roxy Music got together again. In 82 was their "last album" Avalon was supposed to the last one.
Guy Pratt on bass 😎
Cheers. Keep 'em coming!
80s were the best ever fact
For ever friend !! 40 years !!
90's weren't bad either! Compared to 2020 they were both a different Planet!
1970s best decade for music.
@@JohnDoe-nh9hr 60s and 70s far superior to 90s in quality and quantity
Not gonna lie, I was not expecting the singer of this song to look like this. I was expecting someone more like David Sylvian, to be honest!
For people's information this is Icehouse not Bryan Ferry
Absolute classic never ever beat the 80s best decade of all time its all a load of shite now
This is awesome
😍❤
São muito bom
No no no it's not Roxy Music or Bryan Ferry it's Icehouse
Trevor Mahoney I could have sworn...my mistake
There best for me.
Guy Pratt from Pink Floyd on Bass.
I wonder if they realised what a great song they had on their hands
I would imagine so - it did make it onto TOTP
Mr keyboard is gettin down, man!
Super rare
1982
1982 release in Australia, 1983 in UK. This performance is March 1983.
Is that Guy Pratt on bass?
David Ellis it is
Guy Pratt on bass, of pink floyd live fame.
Bryan ferry’s adopted son!
That screen grab looked like Carey Mahoney from Police Academy.
The lead singer sounds like Bryan Ferry
Australian. 🙂
Guy Pratt on bass
Why is he a pratt?
Who cares
Call him what you like, he's a great bass player. Just a little baby there!
Seems faster than normal?
Mullet or no mullet, Iva Davies rocks!!
Bryan Ferry should cover this!
When I first heard this song in 1983, I thought it was Roxy Music (Bryan Ferry). To find out it was an Aussie band that I had never heard of. Did not forget them after this fab song.
For donkeys years, up until lsat week, I thought this was sung by Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music. How wrong I was. Either way a brilliant song
In the verses he sounds a bit like David Sylvian as well. The chorus definitely sounds more like Bryan Ferry.
Could also be mistaken for Gary Numan with darker hair.
Yes for years I thought it was Bryan Ferry. Still a very good song.
I always new it wasn't Roxy Music but always thought it sounded like them
I thought Bryan ferry what a great song good singer
Doesn´t sound like live music. Would be glad to hear the original TOP OF THE POS show-sound.
TOTP isn't meant to be a live show.
The 80s. Sigh.
Lv
12" much better
I have it and it is my most treasured 12 inch.
I wonder who they are singing about....all good...pure innocent Australian rock band....if you know what I mean... like... black lives matter.....
Iva davies rules ok
After we cut the pedifillia. We came up with this
Try the metal version: ua-cam.com/video/E8eXm36mREw/v-deo.html

Sounds like Gary numan lol
No Bryan Ferry
Brilliant song
