we have some very good chess in these games. we end with a record of 10 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses and a performance rating of 2384 v average opponent 2098. team ends in 4th place out of 199 and we were one of the teams top 20 scorers. our win in game 5 vs 2430 was our 5th best ever win by opponents rating in blitz on lichess.

Thanks 👍checking after the event that win - which may well be down to opponent using bezerk mode - but a win is a win - it is my 5th best ever win by opponents rating in blitz on lichess. I do have some higher rated on chess.com as well though. traditionally I play most of my blitz on chess.com and most of my bullet and rapid on lichess - to share my time a bit between the sites. but even just these few hundred points higher rated, the games get a lot harder.

thank you. these mega team battles take place on a friday evening, uk time, every 2 weeks normally. they alternate the time control, typically between 5 - 0, like this one, 3 - 0 and 3 + 2. used to be a bullet time control but I think they must have dropped that as not seen it for a long while. for anyone not aware of the mega team battles, you select which team you want to play for and whoever the top 20 scorers for each team are, you simply add their points together to make the team score.
