YOU BOTH ARE SO FUN TO WATCH. As someone who read Harry Potter at 10/11 y.o., when the series first came out, my little mind was amazed. When HP1 came out, I went to the library every day to check where I was on the wait list. The librarian eventually just bought me a copy as a Christmas present

There will definitely be HP content coming on the channel, so all of us who were raised with those books in the 2000’s can reminisce together! And GoT is amazing! It can be cruel and punishing, but I have yet to find an author who can write politics the way Martin can. There are things I skip though (for obvious reasons)!
This was very entertaining! I enjoyed your reactions and side comments throughout. I usually avoid videos like this because negative comments are hard for me to read, but I enjoyed this. I was definitely annoyed that so many of the bad reviews were from people who didn't even finish reading the books. That really shouldn't be allowed. Ugh. The only other novels by King that I own are “IT” and “Fairy Tale.” I will definitely be diving into his classics, because he is a writer I know I will enjoy for the rest of my life. And, honestly, if you enjoyed Harry Potter, most of the series on this list you’ll probably like!!

I would say all of these are books that I definitely think of many years after reading them. Can't wait to get started on The Dark Tower Series!

Funnily enough I've only ever heard people either be like you and absolutely fucking love Red Rising or exactly like the reviews you reacted to that absolutely hated it, I've never heard anyone have an opinion that was in the middle. Absolute gold!! Love them! They do deviate, of course from the lore in a few places, but the spirit of Tolkien is there! I’m all for adaptations as long as the lore/spirit are respected.

Okay!! So, the only Christian literature I own is all non-fiction. It’s mainly biblical studies, theology, and church and religious history!! I did, however, have someone on my Goodreads recommend a Mr. Frank Peretti! He’s supposedly a really good Christian fiction writer. Is there anything from my non-fiction catalog you would be interested in??

My favorite Christian non-fiction “series” is the Solas Series! Very good, grounded, stuff on Grace, Faith, Christ, God’s Word, and God’s Glory!! My favorite Christian history book is called “Tried by Fire”

I love the Lord of the Rings - but understand there are many descriptions. What I don't understand is why so many I see on youtube are horrible for FEET or find them disgusting? @@elisabethprice4697 I am reformed in some ways, and not in others😂 it’s hard to explain. There are a lot of points I agree (most points honestly) with reformed theology. I believe the Bible to be the ultimate authority for the Christian, and reformed theology seems to be the most faithful to the text of scripture that I have found.
@@elisabethprice4697 I think I land more squarely as a dispensationalist (a leaky one) if I claim to be anything. My wife and I do not go to a classical “reformed” church, we go to a Bible church. In the end, the most important thing for me is the preaching of the true gospel to the nations, and the exegetical preservation of the teaching of God’s Word.

Thank you so much!! So, I have actually never watched the Witcher series. My introduction to the world was through the games. VERY good experience. I would recommend the books personally, but I hear the show is worth the venture! If anything, you should keep going with LOTR!!! Get past those first three chapters in Fellowship, and things pick up rapidly from there!! ACOTAR gets interesting for me halfway through that first book. The rest of the series after that is gold!!
I do recommend the GOT books if you loved the show! They are so beautifully writer , and SO freaking epic!! And neither of us have read the Mortal Instruments. I have been looking at the anytime we go to Barnes, but have never committed!!

EXACTLY!! I was shocked that that person truly believed they could predict anything in that series, especially the first book.

Okay!! So, the only Christian literature I own is all non-fiction. It’s mainly biblical studies, theology, and church and religious history!!
I did, however, have someone on my Goodreads recommend a Mr. Frank Peretti! He’s supposedly a really good Christian fiction writer.
Is there anything from my non-fiction catalog you would be interested in??

@@elisabethprice4697 perfect!! Okay, my favorite Christian author is Michael Horton. Pretty much anything by him is amazing! I also really enjoy James White. He’s wonderful for grasping apologetics!! My favorite Christian non-fiction “series” is the Solas Series! Very good, grounded, stuff on Grace, Faith, Christ, God’s Word, and God’s Glory!!
My favorite Christian history book is called “Tried by Fire”

I love the Lord of the Rings - but understand there are many descriptions. What I don't understand is why so many I see on youtube are horrible for FEET or find them disgusting? Is it an American thing? Knowing that they wear shoes inside over there, but I just don't get it.

@@elisabethprice4697 I am reformed in some ways, and not in others😂 it’s hard to explain. There are a lot of points I agree (most points honestly) with reformed theology. I believe the Bible to be the ultimate authority for the Christian, and reformed theology seems to be the most faithful to the text of scripture that I have found.
@@elisabethprice4697 I think I land more squarely as a dispensationalist (a leaky one) if I claim to be anything. My wife and I do not go to a classical “reformed” church, we go to a Bible church. In the end, the most important thing for me is the preaching of the true gospel to the nations, and the exegetical preservation of the teaching of God’s Word.

Thank you so much!! So, I have actually never watched the Witcher series. My introduction to the world was through the games. VERY good experience. I would recommend the books personally, but I hear the show is worth the venture! If anything, you should keep going with LOTR!!! Get past those first three chapters in Fellowship, and things pick up rapidly from there!! ACOTAR gets interesting for me halfway through that first book. The rest of the series after that is gold!!
I do recommend the GOT books if you loved the show! They are so beautifully writer , and SO freaking epic!! And neither of us have read the Mortal Instruments. I have been looking at the anytime we go to Barnes, but have never committed!!
@@iangubelithanks. I am on the waitlist for ACOTAR audiobook so I am definitely giving a chance. I will add GOT audiobooks to my tbr. I highly recommend the Mortal Instruments books I am on book 5 of the first series. Also thanks to your channel and Ashlynn I have expanded my reading to more fantasy and sci-fi books.😊
